Error orchestrating web service deployed in azure with Apache ODE - azure

I am trying to orchestrate a web service deployed in Windows Azure with Apache ODE. I am testing the services with the Eclipse integrated Web Service Explorer. The Azure WS works fine but when I test the Artifacts.wsdl it throws the following error:
14:41:38,777 INFO [DeploymentPoller] Deployment of artifact BPEL_process successful: [{http://artifacts}process-132]
14:41:49,474 WARN [SimpleScheduler] Dispatching jobs with more than 5 minutes delay. Either the server was down for some time or the job load is greater than available capacity
14:41:57,594 WARN [ExternalService] Fault response: faultType=(unkown)

For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.</faultstring></s:Fault></s:Body></s:Envelope>

EDIT This is what I get when I add the IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults in my Web Service:
17:51:49,762 WARN [ExternalService] Fault response: faultType=(unkown)

17:51:49,798 ERROR [INVOKE] Failure during invoke:
17:51:49,801 INFO [BpelRuntimeContextImpl] ActivityRecovery: Registering activity 15, failure reason: on channel 27
Still no clue of what it means. Eclipse points out en error on my bpel file. The <copy> tag under <assign> throws:
The from-spec of "<xs:simpleType "string">" is not compatible with to-spec of "<xs:complexType>" but I ignored it because following the xsd schemas it doesn't make sense to me and sometimes it even disappears.
EDIT II:
As mentioned by #vanto the <assign> activity was wrong. I had to add the prefix of the namespace of my wsdl to the CDATA tag:
<bpel:query queryLanguage="urn:oasis:names:tc:wsbpel:2.0:sublang:xpath1.0">
<![CDATA[mod2:mod2Result]]>
</bpel:query>
Still don't fully understantand namespaces but it seems it is related to the fact I had to add elementFormDefault="qualified" to the xsd imported by the wsdl of the Azure Service.

The error means that ODE got a soap fault as a response. This indicates that the invoked Web service raised an exception. Please check the logs of your web service or turn on the IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults feature in order to get details about what went wrong. Please not that ODE does not validate outgoing messages, so if your <assign> activities do not create the correct request, ODE won't notice but the invoked service is likely to complain.

This say nothing to me, and when Googling around, I hit this at abp.io website: https://support.abp.io/QA/Questions/3537/OpenIddict-WindowsCryptographicException-Access-is-denied
But I can´t figure out where I shall do the changes. It feels like this should be noted in the ABP.io docs?
Do you know what can cause this, or have some ideas what can be wrong?
I was having the same issue with having the same setup as you have with the exception of deploying to azure, but it should be the same solution.
Please check this SO question:
WindowsCryptographicException: Access is denied when publishing app in Azure
The problem with OpenIddict (or rather, the goodness we're not used to) is that it is bare bones and you have to implement everything yourself.
OpenIddict must have a certificate in order to function on the server you're deploying to, and to have better security on top of whatever measures you're taking.
Basically what you will do is create a new self-signed certificate, upload it to cert store, add the thumbprint to the code and add it to one WEBSITE_LOAD_CERTIFICATES environment variable on said server.
You can add this environment variable to the code instead of hard-coding the thumbprint.
Here is a not-so-informative part of the abp.io documentation about the issue at hand:
Abp.io doc
And here is what I did in the code:
I hope this helps.

Need help investigating Azure App Service .NET Core 2.1 ArgumentOutOfRangeException and System.OverflowException

Today I've adjusted the App Service Log settings for my Azure App Serivce: a .NET Core 2.1 Web API. Soon after I changed the Application Logging (file system) setting from Information to Warning, my application stopped responding. I immediately kicked of a .NET Trace using the Diagnose and solve problems feature.
This Trace report showed the following:

These stacktraces don't show any of my own code, they seem framework related.
Is there a message or a hint in these error stack traces that I can use to prevent these situations?
Many thanks in advance
I know it's too late but maybe my answer will help someone else.
I received the same exceptions as you. But it was not Azure App Service but IIS. The problem was in incorrect configuration somewhere in Startup.cs. You webhost tried to show error page but at the same time App Service (or IIS in my case) tried to shut down or restart it.
This thread helped me a lot https://github.com/aspnet/KestrelHttpServer/issues/1737

Azure backend return 500 in PATCH operation

I am desperately trying to debug an error 500 only when I try to update an object from my xamarin.Forms offline DB to Azure. I am using Azure Mobile Client.
I set all the logging to ON in azure, then I downloaded the log. I can see the generic error, but nothing useful.
<failedRequest url="https://MASKED:80/tables/Appel/9A3342A2-0598-4126-B0F6-2999B524B4AE"
siteId="Masked"
appPoolId="Masked"
processId="6096"
verb="PATCH"
remoteUserName=""
userName=""
tokenUserName="IIS APPPOOL\Masked"
authenticationType="anonymous"
activityId="{80000063-0000-EA00-B63F-84710C7967BB}"
failureReason="STATUS_CODE"
statusCode="500"
triggerStatusCode="500"
timeTaken="625"
xmlns:freb="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2006/06/iis/freb"
>
The table that failed is the only one I extend with some virtual runtime calculated field of navigation field. But I add the [JsonIgnore] to stop AzureService to create field in the local DB (that work) or send it on the wire to the server. But I always got the 500 error, not exception when debugging the c# Azure backend too.
How I can find the stack trace or the "deep" reason for this 500 error in my backend?
For C# Mobile App backend, you could add the following code in the ConfigureMobileApp method of your Startup.MobileApp.cs file for including error details and return to your client side.
config.IncludeErrorDetailPolicy = IncludeErrorDetailPolicy.Always;
You could just capture the exception in your mobile application or leverage fiddler to capture the network traces when invoking the PATCH operation to retrieve the detailed error message.
Moreover, you are viewing the Failed Request Traces log, you need to check the Application logs. Details you could follow Enable diagnostics logging for web apps in Azure App Service.

I had the same, and eventually fixed it by adding sslprotocols=tls12 to the connectionstring. It should not be necessary, but apparently it is, using recently created Redis caches on Azure. Probably due to the deprecation of TLS 1.0 and 1.2
Could be for 3 reasons:
Your connection string is wrong (looks ok any way)
The instance isn't yet created (usually takes a lot to be created in azure)
You are facing firewall (including windows firewall) issues
Are you able to get connected to the redis cache instance using command prompt?
Download redis for windows Here
and then run
redis-cli -h XXX.redis.cache.windows.net -a XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX
You can find here a detailed demo (in spanish but console demos remains usable.)
NinjaTip #18 - Introducción a Redis
For testing purposes ensure than Redis service has port 6379 open (this is the non SSl port option you need to enable on azure)
If you can't connect to your instance is because some of the reasons listed above.
I had the same issue before and I found a solution that using another one:
https://github.com/alex-simonov/RedisAspNetProviders
This one works for me
I found that only the following configuration in web config works for me:
<sessionState mode="Custom" customProvider="MySessionStateStore">
<providers>
<add name="MySessionStateStore" type="Microsoft.Web.Redis.RedisSessionStateProvider" connectionString="PUTCORRECTNAMEHERE.edis.cache.windows.net:6380,password=YOURPRIMARYKEYPUTHERE,ssl=True,abortConnect=False" />
</providers>
</sessionState>

Spring WS with webServiceTemplate.marshalSendAndReceive returns Received error for request, Service Unavailable : Not Found [404]

I'm trying to ammend an existing SOAP Webservice that uses Spring-WS and JAXB on Tomcat. I've created the new WAR file with my changes and deployed it in the webapps foder under Tomcat installation.
When calling the original (already existing) methods of the service, the service SOAP request and response is fine. But when calling the service on the new method, I get service SOAP response of service unavailable and not found [404]

I've imported the project into Eclipse and have made the following changes to the project properties:
1) With in Project Facets, I've checked the 'Dynamic Web Module' and 'Java' Facets.
2) In Java EE Module Dependencies, I've checked Maven Dependencies.
Two things which are to be noted here are:
a) The developer was using JBoss when developing the Webservice but recently the project was chagned to Tomcat.
b) The project has a MAVEN folder structure, hence the web.xml file is in src/main/webapp/WEB-INF folder rather than WebContent/WEB-INF, taht got created when I selected the 'Dynamic Web Module' facet.
Any suggestions wld be hugely appreciated?
Thanks

The end error message is now 'Argument type Mismatch' which I found was generated from one of the methods from within WebServiceTemplate.class
Can somebody suggest what coudl be the problem here?
Managed to get this sorted. So, just wanted to share the solution that somebody might find helpful.
Make sure that the Endpoint method is annotated with the following
#PayloadRoot(localPart = MESSAGES_TO_DELETE, namespace = MESSAGE_NAMESPACE)
where localpart is the same as the your payload request in the schema.xsd
Thanks
