When I mouse over a thumbnail in Tumblr Archive, thumb goes dark and text appears over it. But something has changed in my settings and ALL thumbs appear like this. I use Win XP and the latest browser is IE8. I don't get this with Firefox or another PC.
The same thing happened to me when I updated to IE 10. It is a compatibility issue. Go to "tools" and change your "compatibility view" and it will change it back to the normal view (i.e. the thumbnails will show until you mouse over them). Have one of the archive pages open, and change it, it should update automatically. If it doesn't fool around with the settings until it changes. You can change the "compatibility view" for "tumblr" only by changing the compatibility view for that site only.

Suddenly today stackoverflow looks like this:
The blue color is undesired.
I tried to change the theme under settings. The theme is correctly applied, but I don't see a way to save it: As soon as I leave the settings page, the blue colors are back.
What can I do to get to permanently revert to the default look?
UPDATE
Could this be a virus? Heres' what I get on Safari:
I'm on MacOS Monterey. The first screenshot is on Firefox, the second screenshot on Safari. Chrome also gives different colors.
On the "FILTERS" bar at the bottom of your screen, click on the "circle with slash" icon. It will revert your screen to the default view.
Check the date. It's April fool's day.
The way you fix it is you click on your profile picture in the top, then you go to settings, and then you can choose your background. It probably isn't a virus, but I'm not sure.
My VB6 application is having a layout problem on certain end user PCs, but so far we are unable to identify what is causing this.
Normal layout:
Broken layout:
The text on the left are the captions of the radio buttons. The text in the upper right is a label.
I am familiar with two different settings in Windows Control Panel which can affect text size, and initially we suspected this was the cause. In Windows 10, they are:
Control Panel >
Appearance and Personalization >
Display >
(1) "Use these display settings" > "Customize your display"
or
(2) "Set a custom scaling level"
(Terminology was different in earlier Windows versions but I think the features were the same?)
However upon testing these settings with our app neither reproduces the problem.
What else might be causing the text layout issue shown in the image?
This appears to be caused by a Windows bug.
The description & fix as mentioned in the source website are as follows:
if you have a high resolution screen at install time, Win7 will install a larger font set (125%) by default. If you then choose go back to the standard font size (100%), Windows will keep some of the large fonts even though everything else is adjusted for standard fonts, causing programs that use these fonts to break because the text will not always fit inside the GUI.
By editing the Windows registry you can get the original, intended fonts back:
Open the start menu and type regedit and then press Enter.
Locate the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts
Find the value MS Sans Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
Change from SSERIFF.FON to SSERIFE.FON
Find MS Serif 8,10,12,14,18,24
Change from SERIFF.FON to SERIFE.FON
Finally find Courier 10,12,15
Change from COURF.FON to COURE.FON
Restart your system in order for the changes to take effect!
The exact font names may vary depending on locale settings.
I was able to create the problem scenario as described here on Windows 10, and that reproduced the problem with our VB6 app. I think that confirms this as the fix.
A Microsoft blog post seems to be the authoritative original source of this information.
So, I'm trying to create a minimal navigation pane in Windows Explorer on Windows 10. Under the Quick Access menu, I have pinned some favorites and frequently accessed folders/shortcuts. I believe that it'd look neater -cleaner-, to not have the little gray push pins icons to the right of the pinned folders and shortcuts. I mean, hello, I pinned them, of course they're pinned, I know it. I guess I was hoping there was some regedit mod I could change right quick to hide all push pins in the navigation pane. Does anyone know of anything like that? Google doesn't seem to....
Hide Push Pins
I realize you asked this several months ago, but here's your answer. It's a bit hack-y and involves 3rd party software, but it works perfectly.
Download Customizer God
Create a transparent .png (assuming you have Photoshop/GIMP/Affinity Photo)
Convert the .png to .ico
Open Customizer God. Select "General Icons"
Find the Quick Access pin icon by scrolling down a bit.
Hit "Change" and select your .ico
The results:
I am using an MVC 3 razor grid with version 2011.2.712.340 of the Telerik extensions.
I have an Edit command button in my html for the grid. The edit button shows up in Chrome & Firefox, but not Internet Explorer with the same exact code base.
Would someone be able to tell me what I need to do in order to get it to display in IE?
Actually, in additon to the Button not showing up, the data for the record is shifted over starting in the Command column....
Also, this only happens in IE9. If i put the browser in IE9 compatability mode or IE8 or IE7, the page renders fine.
What do I need to do for it to render properly using IE9?
It might be related to Hidden Columns in Telerik, have a look at this post for the workaround:

Has the browser window been removed from the latest version of Xcode? I've seen this window in an iOS class I watched online and again in a book I have. I can't find anything in the View menu to turn it on.
I'm running Lion and the latest version of Xcode. I created a new project with Core Data turned on and then built it. I then clicked on .xcdatamodeld file and I get a graphic window with the default table in it.
Do you mean the project browser on the left? You enable that using the 'view' buttons on the right side of the toolbar.
The toolbar might be hidden though, so go to the view menu and select "Show toolbar" if needed.
Then select the fourth button from the right on the toolbar, it is the first button in the set of view buttons. This shows the Navigator View on the left of your screen, which has 7 selectors on the top. The leftmost will give you the project browser (project navigator), the one next to it is the symbol navigator.
I hate to be answering my own question again. I like to keep my answer rate at 100%. Since I didn't get a response here, I tried the Apple developer forums. It turn out the Xcode 4.* changed the interface and this series of windows no longer exist. The same functions can be found in other locations.
