Build is failing with Visual Studio 2012 - visual-studio-2012

I am facing a problem in an attempt to debug the code in Visual Studio 2012. I have series of the class files and the Asp.Net pages in a single solution file. The Asp.Net pages call functions in the class libraries and get the required details.
Everything worked well until I upgraded my license from Visual Studio 2010 to Visual Studio 2012. The problem is that reference to the assemblies are lost and the build is failing. Additionally the Dlls after the compilation of the individual class file project are deleted.
Please let me know if someone has faced similar problem and resolution.
Thanks,
Yagya

Why am I not able to open a VS project

I have a Visual Studio project that I created in my previous PC (32-bit if that makes any difference). I recently got a new PC (64-bit) and I am trying to open the project and I am seeing the following error:
Unsupported
This version of Visual Studio does not have the following project types installed or does not support them. You can still open these projects in the version of Visual Studio in which they were originally created.
- ONew, "C:\temp\onb\ONewSln\ONew\ONew.csproj"
No changes required
These projects can be opened in this version of Visual Studio without changing them. They will continue to open in Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and in this version of Visual Studio.
- ONewWeb, "C:\temp\onb\ONewSln\ONewWeb\ONewWeb.csproj"
- ONewSln, "C:\temp\onb\ONewSln\ONewSln.sln"

Is there a add-on or visual studio component that I have to download to make it work?
Please help me resolve the issue.
After doing some research and spending hours banging my head against the wall, I figured out how to resolve the issue.
You have to install Microsoft Office Developer Tools for Visual Studio 2012.
Open up the Web Platform Installer and if you don’t have it installed, download and install it. Search for Office Developer Tools and install it.
This will enable you to open the project without any issue.
Usually you can open VS2010 SP1 files in VS2012. But after opening and on compiling you may get some errors of missing packages. Then you have to install the missing packages. Check this out: Visual Studio 2012 compatibilty.
Some solutions, projects, files, and other assets that you created in Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) will run without modification in Visual Studio 2012, but others have to be upgraded. The above document describes how various kinds of assets behave in these two versions of Visual Studio.
If you use both Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2010 SP1, you can create and modify projects and files in either version as long as you don't add features that require Visual Studio 2012.
VS2012 may convert projects when you first open them, but the changes are (except noted in the document linked) backward compatible with VS2010.

how to convert VC++ 2005 projects to VC++ 2012 projects in bulk?

i want to convert around 200 projects from VC++ 2005 to VC++ 2012 projects and build them.
can somebody help me steps i need to follow to achieve this.
Thanks,
Visual Studio will automatically convert your projects from VS2005 to the VS2012 format when you open the solution/project. Notice that an important change is that in VS2012 MSBuild is used instead of VSBuild for building the VC++ projects.
Depending on the projects you have you may run into some breaking changes that you have to resolve manually. Take a look at Lessons learned migrating to Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5 to get an overview of possible problems and things to do.

Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.PasteJson.JsonPackage did not load properly

I have visual studio express 2012
and it was working fine earlier I had run my solution once. But now when I do it, there appears a dialog box with the message!
the Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.PasteJson.JsonPackage, Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web.PasteJson package did not load correctly.
the problem may have been caused by a configuration changhe or by installation of another extension. You can get more information by exmamining the file
C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VWDExpress\11.0\Log.xml
continue to show this error message?
How do I get rid of this error?
I started to see this on the fresh windows & VS 2013 Ultimate with Update 2 installation.
To resolve the problem, close all Visual Studio instances head over to
C:\Users\<your users name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0\ComponentModelCache
and delete all the files in the folder.
It worked fine for me. Thanks to this article.
Not relevant to VS 2012 express, but I experienced this problem with VS 2013 Premium. I had recently added the productivity power tools extension. To get back up and running, I loaded Visual Studio in safe mode:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE>devenv /safemode
And un-installed the productivity tools. The errors went away.
You need to clear the ComponentModelCache folder or rename it. For Visual Studio 2013, it’s located in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\VisualStudio\12.0 folder.

I had Visual Studio 2013 Professional and I got the same error. I couldn't remove it until I repaired VS installation. It took a while but now it works fine.
I had this problem as I had an older version of VS2012 Express (release on Web Platform installer dated 15/08/2012).
Try installing 'Visual Studio 2012 Express for Web (Latest)' with release date 22/10/2012 from the Microsoft Web Platform Installer.
That is all I did and I no longer get those messages.

How can I fix the conflict between Coded UI Test and MVC Scaffolding in Visual Studio 2012 RC

I'm running Visual Studio 2012 RC (all the latest updates have been installed as of 7/11/2012. I have an asp.net mvc 4 solution with
a Web Project
a Unit Test Project
a Coded UI Test Project
a Web performance and load Test project
When I first created the solution I could add Coded UI Tests with no problem. However, today I tried to create a Coded UI Test and got the following error
The following package failed to load: C:\Users[File Path Goes
Here]\Microsoft.VisualStudio.TestTools.UITesting.dll. Coded UI Test is
now in an inconsistent state. Remove this package and restart Visual
Studio to work with Coded UI Test.
I had a similar problem before with Visual Studio 2010. I still have that problem for that matter.
However, if I uninstall (via NuGet) MVC Scaffolding and T4Scaffolding and restart Visual Studio I can create Coded UI Tests again, but if I add back in the scaffolding packages and restart Visual Studio I get the error again and cannot create the Coded UI test.
It seems that
there is a conflict between the scaffolding packages and Coded UI Tests in Visual Studio
The original error Visual Studio 2010 error has not been fixed in Visual Studio 2012 - Microsoft has acknowledged that this is a bug.
Can anyone help this fan of scaffolding and Coded UI Tests? It would be great to use both technologies without workarounds.
There is no solution to this. The only real workaround is not to use MVC Scaffolding.
