I'm running WAMP on Windows 7, and I have two virtual hosts set up -- one #localhost and one #acutek.local.
I can pull both pages up in my browser without issue, so I know the basic setup is correct. localhost is an index.html file, but I've changed acutek.local -- acutek.local is just a bunch of files, no more index HTML or PHP page.
When I pull up acutek.local, I get a tree-structure list of the files:
Which seems fine at first; I can browse through directories and see their contents. However, when I try to load any specific file, it fails. I get a "403 Forbidden - you don't have access / permissions..." error.
Even if I try loading the robots.txt file from that screenshot.
However, if I add an HTML file t the same directory as robots.txt and try to open that from the browser, it loads just fine.
I didn't see any answers that would explain this in other StackOverflow posts. Out of curiosity, anyone know why I get a Forbidden error for non-html files?
I would have assumed if it were a problem with the browser displaying the files than the error would be something other than a permissions error.

I've checked through my firewall, it's working just fine. I've tried everything with the configuration, nothing works. My website gives 403 Forbidden when I try to access anything.

default user and group for apache is www-data so you shoud change the owner of all files and folders to this user and group, you can use this command to do it in recursive mode

In open cart I am facing problem of "HTTP Security Header Not Detected" but I added these codes in .htaccess, it fixed on my local but on website same code is giving me X-Frame-Options: DENY, SAMEORIGIN. I don't want this "deny" keyword as it is not appropriate, which I haven't added anywhere

I am getting Error while I send GET request with a particular Request Params.
As well as both URLs working fine when I run on nginx server.

When I call API /api/pms/searchPharmacyDetail?searchParam=3084 It gives the Proxy error. Although same is working with /api/pms/searchPharmacyDetail?searchParam=4000.

Currently it may look like:

You need to look further to try to determine WHERE the error is occurring. What is the "root cause"? In particular, you might want to check your database logs.

You should run the 'apachectl' command directly to validate your config. It will display either "Syntax OK" or tell you what exactly it is getting tripped up on.
Pass the full path to the config file you "think" apache is using. 'apachectl -t -f /PATH-TO-CONFIG-FILE/httpd.conf'
If you get "Syntax OK" then you most likely are looking at the wrong config file.

I want to search and replace specific value in a file, here is the content of the file

I want to replace DocumentRoot /var/www/html with DocumentRoot /var/www/html/centos
I tried the following
sudo sed -i "s#DocumentRoot /var/www/html#DocumentRoot /var/www/html/centos#g" /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
This is not working, can someone point me to the right direction.

The line you are trying to replace is:
DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"
It contains double-quotes. The sed command does not include the double-quotes. Try:
sudo sed -i 's#DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"#DocumentRoot "/var/www/html/centos"#g' /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Nevermind, i figured it out, i was missing double quotes, following command worked
sudo sed -i 's#DocumentRoot "/var/www/html"#DocumentRoot "/var/www/html/centos"#g' /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
