I am trying to X-CTU running on linux under wine so I can apply firmware to my Xbee radio. The program install and runs fine under wine but when I go to the Modem Configuration tab it errors out saying it can't read my modem configuration. Has anyone had any luck with this?
I was able to get it working. You have to download all the firmware updates from the Digi site (ftp://ftp1.digi.com/support/firmware/). The files you need are:
82001817_a.zip
82001817_B.zip
82001817_C.zip
82001817_D.zip
82001817_E.zip
82001817_F.zip
82001817_G.zip
Download the above files into:
~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Digi/XCTU/update
Then open X-CTU and go to the modem configuration tab. Click the Download new versions button then select from file. Select each of the files you downloaded. Once you have the all loaded click the read configuration button and this time it should work.

I can't create a folder in my windows D Drive from Ubuntu. Is there is any solution? Image 1, Image 2
I had similiar problem few days ago, the solution is to not to shutdown windows (if you are using dual-booting) but to restart and choose ubuntu in grub. Because widnows is never shutdowning completely but only going to hibernate so the drive is somehow reserved by windows.
So step by step:
Boot up windows.
Press restart not shutdown!
Select ubuntu in grub.
You should be able to create folder.
Hope it helps. :)

In one of my linux box, some program (database archiver process) has consumed all the space available. I am not able to access this box using ssh username# so that I can login to box and do the clean up and fix the rouge process. Could you please let me know how we can connect this box in such scenario.
If it is local machine, unattachment the hard drive and then connect it with another PC then manually remove extra files there.
You will have to login as root.
If you have physical access to the machine, boot a live version of your linux from CD/DVD/USB. From there you can get a root shell, mount the drive, and clean it up.

Cloud Services aka Hosted Services
How do I connect to the remote desktop manually? Clicking the connect button will always run mstsc with maximum display size. I tried using the Url directly but keep getting a rejection. The .rdp file that is sent during connect is something like:
full address:s:mytestapp-20120825.cloudapp.net
username:s:xxxxx
LoadBalanceInfo:s:Cookie: mstshash=WCFServiceWebRole1#WCFServiceWebRole1_IN_0
Thanks.
I found it. I right-click the rdp file and select Edit.
I wonder what's in the rdp file that makes it work.

i am trying to get the remote access from windows system to linux system using teamviewer but when the connection is established the windows system sees the black screen. so anyone can help me how to establish the fair connection.
I had the same problem - for me with two solutions. On some systems, it just took about 30sec for the screen to build up (in that case, just be patient) and in the other case, there was a driver problem. Try to change the driver to the default ubuntu one and deactivate the proprietary hardware driver in that case.
