EXT.Net - Dynamic UserControlLoader with Property - ext.net

I need a solution to the below scenario. I'm developing an application in ASP.Net with the help of EXT.Net Controls.
In my scenario, I'm creating dynamic tabs (EXT.Net) and loading an User Control dynamically with UserControlLoader component.
How can I pass a parameter to the UserControl dynamically? Below is my sample code.
[DirectMethod]
public void AddNewTab()
{
getTitle gt = new getTitle();
Ext.Net.Panel panel = new Ext.Net.Panel
{
Title = gt.Title(),
Closable = false,
Layout = "Fit",
Items = {
new UserControlLoader{
Path="ElementChooser.ascx"
}
}
};
TabPanel1.Add(panel);
panel.Render();
TabPanel1.SetLastTabAsActive();
}
Your help is highly appreciated.

It is a bit unclear what "pass a parameter to a User Control" means, but I think you need to handle the UserControlLoader's OnUserControlAdded and OnComponentAdded events.
The first one fires when a user control is added to a UserControlLoader.
The second one fires for each top level Ext.NET component from a user control.
These events helps to configure a user control and its components as needed.
Here is an example with the OnComponentAdded example.

Make Two Views Share Click Feedback in Constraint Layout

I have this situation where I have a constraint layout. Within it lies two views. An ImageView and a TextView. When either of these Views is clicked, I want both to produce a feedback (text color change for textview and drawable tint in imageview) but I can't seem to think of a way to do these unless I put them inside another viewgroup.
Can someone show me how this could be done in constraint Layout? thank you.
Take a look at performClick().
performClick
boolean performClick ()
Call this view's OnClickListener, if it is defined. Performs all normal actions associated with clicking: reporting accessibility event, playing a sound, etc.
The idea is that when one view is clicked, your code will call performClick() on the other view. You will have to make sure that you inhibit any duplication of actions if the two views do the same function.
Other than doing this in code, I don't know of a way using just XML. There is the concept of a Group in ConstraintLayout but that just a way to control the visibility of the members of the group and does not extend to other properties.
I would use another enclosing view group unless you have a requirement not to. I just seems easier.
Use Group concept in ConstraintLayout refer: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/support/constraint/Group ,https://riggaroo.co.za/constraintlayout-guidelines-barriers-chains-groups/ ,
in java
Group group = findViewById(R.id.group);
int refIds[] = group.getReferencedIds();
for (int id : refIds) {
findViewById(id).setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
#Override
public void onClick(View view) {
// your code here.
}
});
}
Kotlin:
fun Group.setAllOnClickListener(listener: View.OnClickListener?) {
referencedIds.forEach { id ->
rootView.findViewById<View>(id).setOnClickListener(listener)
}
}
Then call the function on the group:
group.setAllOnClickListener(View.OnClickListener {
// your code here.
})

Load data in custom form by using Kentico 9

I searched the whole web and I couldn't found any good topic which expose the proper way to do it.
I have a very simple web which I developed using Kentico 9 CMS. This web only contains two subpages and a header to navigate between those.
The "Home" subpage contains a custom form which remains connected to a SQL table which is populated every time you press submit with certain data.
On the other hand, the other page, shows the stored data by using a custom web part which connects to the DB by using BizFormItemProvider and this object is used as a layer to binding the data in a control.
Now is my point. If you see, there is a button to "Edit" a certain row and my intention is to Redirect to "Home" (which contains the form) and sending via QueryString the ID of the row attempted to edit.
I was unable to understand how can you re-fill the form with its data using an ID.
Maybe because I never worked with a CMS before, I'm looking the development such as pure ASP.NET and it could not be the correct one.
Custom
Given that your solution uses a custom form for entering the data, as well as a custom web part for listing the stored data, you will need to use a custom solution to handle the editing of data, as well.
In the custom webpart on the Home page, in a load event, you can retrieve the form data and set the values on the form controls.
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// Ensure that the form is not being posted back,
// to prevent entered data from being overwritten
if(!IsPostBack)
{
// Get the form item ID from the query string
var personId = QueryHelper.GetInteger("personId", 0);
if(personId > 0)
{
// Get the biz form item, and set form control values
var bizFormItem = BizFormItemProvider.GetItem(personId, "customFormClassName");
txtFirstName.Text = bizFormItem.GetStringValue("FirstName", string.Empty);
}
}
}
Similarly, when Submit is clicked, you can update the existing form item with the new data
protected void btnSubmit_OnClick(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
// Get the form item ID from the query string
var personId = QueryHelper.GetInteger("personId", 0);
if(personId > 0)
{
// Retrieve the existing biz form item,
// and update it from the form control values
var bizFormItem = BizFormItemProvider.GetItem(personId, "customFormClassName");
bizFormItem.SetValue("FirstName", txtFirstName.Text);
bizFormItem.Update();
}
else
{
// Your code for inserting a new form item...
}
}
The Kentico way
You should really consider using the Kentico form engine for accomplishing this task. Instead of using a custom form for entering the data, use the built-in On-line form webpart.
The benefits are numerous, such as:
Ability to set the form layout through the CMS, and use alternative layouts
Automatic confirmation email to the submitter of the form, as well as notification emails to the administrators
To accomplish your task, you can customise the On-line form webpart to support loading of existing data.
In the bizform.ascx.cs file, add code to the SetupControl method:
protected void SetupControl()
{
if (StopProcessing)
{
// Existing code...
}
else
{
// Existing code...
// Get the form item ID from the query string
var personId = QueryHelper.GetInteger("personId", 0);
if(personId > 0)
{
// Get the biz form item, and set form control values
var bizFormItem = BizFormItemProvider.GetItem(personId, "customFormClassName");
if(bizFormItem != null)
{
// Set the item ID
viewBiz.ItemID = bizFormItem.ItemID;
}
}
}
}
This will automagically switch the form to Edit mode, instead of Insert mode, as soon as you set the ItemID property. Clicking the Submit button will save changes on the existing form item.
You will not need to worry about validation in your code, and inserting data will still work.
Is this a contact form that you are using Kenticos built in form application for, or is it a custom form? If it is a custom form you can create a transformation with a link that will contain the ID. If it is a biz form, you can still create a transformation in Page Types (create a new page type and select "The page type is only a container without custom fields"), then write a custom query to get the biz form data, and use a repeater to display the data with that transformation.

How to add an absolute element in a NativeScript page

I want to be able to just place a View component (plugin) into the page through code and have it appear at some X\Y on the page... but I'm a bit stumped.
Any attempt to add via page.content kinda adds it to the layout\render pass so it occupies space.
So this would get injected into "any" page at "any" time, I have no control over the markup this would be used in (know what I mean?) There is no XML for it and unfortunately the answer can't just be wrap everything in an AbsoluteLayout because one can't mandate that on users apps\layouts.
Thoughts, even possible?
Basically the simplest way to do this is to dynamically and be fully cross platform compatible is to create a AbsoluteLayout item in your JavaScript code, and dynamically insert your item and the AL into the page container.
Code would be something like this:
var AbsoluteLayout = require('ui/layouts/absolute-layout').AbsoluteLayout;
var myAL = new AbsoluteLayout();
var myItem = new myPluginItem();
// Set you left, right, top, bottom coords.
myItem.top = x;
// Add our item to the AbsoluteItem
myAL.addChild(myItem);
var frame = require('ui/frame');
var page = frame.topmost().currentPage;
var LayoutBase = require('ui/layouts/layout-base').LayoutBase;
page._eachChildView(function(view) {
if (view instanceof LayoutBase) {
view.addChild(myAL);
return false;
}
return true;
});
However, if you don't want to do this the really simple way; the only other way is to actually go a bit lower level. You can natively access the iOS view controller (page._ios.view) and the android view (page._nativeView), and then manually add it to the view by using things like addView (https://developer.android.com/reference/android/view/ViewManager.html) or addSubview (https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/UIKit/Reference/UIView_Class/).
I would like to add you can set the Top and Left properties in TypeScript by importing AbsoluteLayout like so
import {AbsoluteLayout} from 'ui/layouts/absolute-layout';
and then using the exposed functions setLeft or setTop
AbsoluteLayout.setLeft(YourItem, LeftValue);
or
AbsoluteLayout.setTop(YourItem, TopValue);

How to add button + to subgrid of hierarchical relation?

I have a hierarchical relation inside an entity X, I Have parent lookup which allow to give parent to a record of this entity, and I have created a Subgrid attached to this lookup within the same form of the entity:
The problem is that the display of the button + is unstable in this subgrid, sometimes it appears sometimes no. I dont know if this problem is related to some setting or it is a bug of dynamics crm online last version?
For information, I don't have this problem with other sub-grids.
Thanks in advance,
if you want to add a custom button you may do this as follows
function CreateButton() {
var connectionSubGridPlusBtn = document.getElementById("Connections_addImageButton").parentNode.parentNode;
//Connections_addImageButton is the id of + button
if (connectionSubGridPlusBtn != null) {
//New Button
var div = document.createElement("div");
div.className = "ms-crm-contextButton";
div.innerHTML = "<button id='newButton' type='button' style='width:80px;cursor: pointer;padding:0px' >New Button</button>";
connectionSubGridPlusBtn.appendChild(addVendorDiv);
//Event and url for new
document.getElementById("newButton").onclick = function () {
//Write codefor the button click event
}
}
}
call this function on load of the form
The entity has to be created before you're able to add related entities. You can add disable all required fields, and perform a save in the onload, and you should always see the plus sign.
A slightly better solution is to override the create button for the entity, and rather than directing to the create form, perform a rest entity creation, then direct to that form. Then you don't have to perform a save in the on load.

Orchard CMS front-end all possible content filtering by user permissions

Good day!
In my Orchard, I have several content types all with my custom part attached. This part defines to what users this content is available. For each logged user there is external service, which defines what content user can or cannot access. Now I need access restriction to apply everywhere where orchard display content lists, this includes results by specific tag from a tag cloud, or results listed from Taxonomy term. I seems can’t find any good way to do it except modifying TaxonomyServices code as well as TagCloud services, to join also my part and filter by it. Is this indeed the only way to do it or there are other solutions? I would like to avoid doing changes to built-in modules if possible but cannot find other way.
Thanks in advance.
I'm currently bumbling around with the same issue. One way I'm currently looking at is to hook into the content manager.
[OrchardSuppressDependency("Orchard.ContentManagement.DefaultContentManager")]
public class ModContentManager : DefaultContentManager, IContentManager
{
//private readonly Lazy<IShapeFactory> _shapeFactory;
private readonly IModAuthContext _modAuthContext;
public ModContentManager(IComponentContext context,
IRepository<ContentTypeRecord> contentTypeRepository,
IRepository<ContentItemRecord> contentItemRepository,
IRepository<ContentItemVersionRecord> contentItemVersionRepository,
IContentDefinitionManager contentDefinitionManager,
ICacheManager cacheManager,
Func<IContentManagerSession> contentManagerSession,
Lazy<IContentDisplay> contentDisplay,
Lazy<ISessionLocator> sessionLocator,
Lazy<IEnumerable<IContentHandler>> handlers,
Lazy<IEnumerable<IIdentityResolverSelector>> identityResolverSelectors,
Lazy<IEnumerable<ISqlStatementProvider>> sqlStatementProviders,
ShellSettings shellSettings,
ISignals signals,
//Lazy<IShapeFactory> shapeFactory,
IModAuthContext modAuthContext)
: base(context,
contentTypeRepository,
contentItemRepository,
contentItemVersionRepository,
contentDefinitionManager,
cacheManager,
contentManagerSession,
contentDisplay,
sessionLocator,
handlers,
identityResolverSelectors,
sqlStatementProviders,
shellSettings,
signals) {
//_shapeFactory = shapeFactory;
_modAuthContext = modAuthContext;
}
public new dynamic BuildDisplay(IContent content, string displayType = "", string groupId = "") {
// So you could do something like...
// var myPart = content.As<MyAuthoPart>();
// if(!myPart.IsUserAuthorized)...
// then display something else or display nothing (I think returning null works for this but
//don't quote me on that. Can always return a random empty shape)
// else return base.BuildDisplay(content, displayType, groupId);
// ever want to display a shape based on the name...
//dynamic shapes = _shapeFactory.Value;
}
}
}
Could also hook into the IAuthorizationServiceEventHandler, which is activated before in the main ItemController and do a check to see if you are rendering a projection or taxonomy list set a value to tell your content manager to perform checks else just let them through. Might help :)
