How can I create a second website with host header binding? - iis

I have a website working fine on IIS manager. I created a new site with it sharing the same IP and port. For the host header I put in the domain to the site. When i currently go to the domain i get a
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
I checked to make sure anonymous is enabled and setup but still no luck. it doesn't ask for credentials when accessing the site.
At this point i'm not sure what else to do. Does anyone have ideas that I could try?

After spending some time in my domain service site. I apparently put in the wrong IP address to the website server and instead was pointing towards my exchange server.

How to access database in phpmyadmin that connected to localhost using static ip address?

i'm developing web-based system information for my company.my boss asked me to use LAN. i'm using CodeIgniter, xampp and phpmyadmin. my web works good on localhost. then i did setting my ip address to static ip address, i editted my xampp configuration so that ip address that i have allowed could access my web. but the issue is the only page that everyone can access is the landing page. I can't access the other page that connect to the database such as the login function, etc. Anyone can help me with this issue?
i did the setting, such as editting the xampp configuration, allow all ip address, then i tried to access the ip addess, it works good on another PC while accessing the landing page. But when i clicked on the login button the next page didn't come up. it says the page said "this site can't be reached" also it said "checking proxy and the firewall.
I expect that user can access the login page also the database can automatically updated everytime user input data to the web.

Can't use a domain username as a specified user in IIS 10.0

i having a problem when i tried to use a domain user as a specified user name in basic settings-> connect as. I want to access a shared folder that located in another server.
The web server always says if the username or password isn't correct and always throw 500.19 error when I started to browse the application.
Error Capture
However when I explore the app from IIS, it can be opened. I even tried a remote login to the server using the same username and password and it's just fine.

The server I am using for running the web server is a Workgroup computer and in a DMZ. Is that a reason why IIS can't authecticate domain user?
Sorry for my terrible english here, because i'm in panic situation right now. I hope you can understand what i'm asking about and hope somebody has an answer. Thanks
You're right, if your computer is not joined to the Active Directory domain, you won't be able to authenticate using a Domain account.
Should the site be publicly accessible? If so, you would want to set your authentication to Anonymous and then configure the authentication settings to authenticate either as a built in user (NETWORK SERVICE, AppPoolIdentity) or a local machine user created specifically for the application.

IIS 8- Cannot login to website in IIS using Windows authentication when accessing by ip

Dears,
Kindly note that I have a website deployed on IIS 8 in windows server 2012.
When trying to access the website using the host name, the login popup appears and when entering the windows credential, I can enter to the website successfully,
When trying to access the website using the IP address, the login popup appears and when entering the windows credential I cannot log in, and the pop appears again, trying more it returns the same behavior when canceling the popup it gives me the below error:
HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized,
Please note that the "Anonymous Authentication" is enabled using the IUSR identity, and the Windows Authentication enabled with the NTLM and Negotiate providers and the NTLM is first.
I am trying to fix this issue by edit the registry value BackConnectionHostNames and DisableLoopbackCheck following steps in the below article from Microsoft
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/896861/you-receive-error-401-1-when-you-browse-a-web-site-that-uses-integrate
and still not working
Thank you in advance
Consider the differences between navigating by hostname and navigating by IP to your server. Use command prompt and do a tracert IP vs tracert hostname. The difference is by hostname, it resolves your request through the domain name services (knows who you are and who the server is on the domain). By IP, it skips the domain name services and goes directly to the target computer. The network doesn't need the DNS if you use the actual IP address, as the DNS is used for resolving names into IP addresses.
I believe you can directly put the domain name in your code so it knows where to look without relying on the DNS to automatically authenticate (although I haven't done this). Otherwise, let the domain name services resolve the user automatically by authenticating the requestee (the user) to the host (by name) when using the hostname.
Let me know if that makes sense.

Mysteriously appearing required NT authentication after Classic ASP site update?

A developer posts their code from a staging site (which requires authentication) to the live public site (which should not) and suddenly the live site is requiring authentication (which is not good).
They don't have permissions to change any settings on the server(s) and there is no call from the code on the live site to anything on the staging site, that I can locate. (No forgotten calls to an image on the staging site or anything)
Can the group think of some file that might have been removed/changed that could cause this to happen? I checked this question as well - [HTTP Authentication in ASP Classic via IIS] - but none of those methods are being used.
App is Classic ASP, IIS6.0 server.
Security Settings - Anonymous Access permitted on the live site. Account for anonymous internet users allowed read access to the directory where the site is located - user is unable to change directory or site permissions on the server.
Thanks!
Did the files retain their security permissions from the folder they were copied from? Reset the permissions on the files.
Are you using a four-part URL to get to the site (http://www.somesite.com/)? That will default to the Internet zone and not intranet, prompting for authentication.
User will get challenged when Anonymous Access is turned off in IIS. What are the security settings? Without that information, we will not be able to help much.

MOSS Domain Configuration

We are having some issues getting SharePoint to work as we want it to.
We have an enterprise MOSS configuration on our domain and have the entry http://intranet pointing to it on port 80.
We also have another site collection and have pointed an internet domain name http:/nww.oursector.nhs.uk at it. We have done this to allow those outside our domain but on the same physical network to view it. Our network admin hasd configured the firewall to redirect any requests to this url to our sharepoint server.
The problem with this is that we have had to turn on anonymous access otherwise SharePoint sees this url as external and blocks authenticated access to the site. This means that all users need to manually sign in to the site, which is making working with SharePoint quite problematic.
Is there a way to configure SharePoint to allow the url http:/nww.oursector.nhs.uk to access the site collection without having anonymous access turned on for the site? I want users to be able to browse to the site and if authenticated then fine, if not then prompt them to login.
Can anyone suggest a way to achieve this?
I would say you need to use SharePoint's alternate access mapping to use the correct authentication type depending on the method users are using to access the website.
Basically i think this would work as follows for your situation:
For internal users, use the default zone, using NTLM with SSO configured.
Thus users should be signed in transparently without requiring to login.
For external users, extend the web application, using the extranet zone, using anonymous access.
This will allow external users, to browse the website without signing on.
