Is there any way how to remove style attribute from some html element?
For example I created text-box and I'm checking its value in my onSubmit(). If it have wrong value I change its background color to red. If I change its value to white after user submits correct value, it does not look same as unchanged text-boxes.
I tried function setStyleAttribute("backgroundColor", "") but it throws an error, setStyleAttribute("backgroundColor", "none") but it did not change anything.
You might try "transparent" or "inherit"

Have you tried .setStyleAttribute('background','transparent') it should result in the same state as initial state... hmmm well I think ;-)

When you create a widget without any style it doesn't mean it has no style, it only means that you are using the 'default' style. So I guess setting a value to the default value might well be the right thing to do.
In the example of the background color the default is "transparent" and the result applied to the textBox is what you expected, isn't it ?

when we type into autoComplete, primefaces automatically highlighted first shown item. so when we press enter key that item will be selected. how can i change the behavior of enter key, so when it pressed, just entered text be submitted in backing bean property.

What helped me to solve the same issue where the answers here and here. Basically, you have to override 2 different behaviours.
First one is the default selection of the first result, that can be achieved adding this to your autocomplete (as stated by the accepted answer in the first link, available in primefaces for versions 5.1.5, 5.0.14 and 5.2):
autoHighlight="false"
The second thing you want to override is the behaviour when Enter is pressed, as you want the form that contains the autocomplete to be submitted. For doing so, just add this code to either the containing form or the autocomplete:

Change the ids between square brackets for your own ones and it's done.
PS: I know this is a rather old question but it still applies to the current version of primefaces (6.1 when this question was answered). And I also think it can help to have both changes combined in one answer.
Truth be told, this feels like a bug. Richfaces do that implicitly (submit on enter while suggesting). I haven't found an official fix so I did some research and turns out the simplest way is to override the JS function that resolves key presses. The whole autocomplete js is here. You just need to override the bindKeyEvents function so you declare it likewise:
PrimeFaces.widget.AutoComplete.prototype.bindKeyEvents = function () {
Then add the rest of the code for this specific function from the JS I mentioned before. I've omitted that code so it's more readable. Then you want to find a switch that resolves different keys that have some behavior mapped to them. And under the code:
case keyCode.ENTER:
case keyCode.NUMPAD_ENTER:
Add something like:

Also, make sure that you got forceSelection and the autohighlight off on the autocomplete component.
The problem in the JS is that even though you haven't selected any item from the suggestions it still triggers the event that tries to click the item... which doesn't even exist.
This is the simplest way as I said... you can also create your own autocomplete implementation and override the behavior there. But that's a lot of work and if you only need this one feature I suggest overriding the JS function.
In order to override the original JS with your custom one you need to make sure yours is loaded after the original one. To do that you can either use h:outputScript or simply just load the javascript like you're used to... but in the body (not the head).
Also there's probably a fancier way than having to specify the form id. But I just wasted too much time searching for a solution that I had to get it done real fast.
I am working on an Android application that requires the use of a Graph, for this purpose I am using AndroidPlot's XYSeries. I am trying to style the graph, everything is fine but the first value of the domain. As you can see in the screen shot below, the style does not apply for all the values

I just solved this problem, the first value is called DomainOriginLabelPaint not DomainLabelPaint, in order to style it we need to add

I am working on a large, worldwide application, which includes access from areas of low bandwidth. As such, I want to use a minimum of SSJS or partial refreshes for all the complex hide/when calculations. Here is what I have so far for a simple "hide/when":
A Yes/No radio button, with CSJS to show a panel ("Yes") or hide the
panel ("No").
The panel has a formTable inside it, and the values are shown or hidden, as per #1.
In the XPage's onClientLoad, the following code is run:

For a new document, the onClientLoad script will hide the "radioButtonPanel" successfully. Changing the radio button to "Yes" will show the radioButtonPanel, just as clicking "No" will hide it. It works great! :-)
Once the document is saved and reopened in read mode, though, the onClientLoad CSJS event should read the saved value in the document, and decide to show the panel or not. When the document is opened in edit mode, the onClientLoad fires, reads the radioButton value and successfully shows or hides the panel.
This is what I've tried so far, to get it to work in read mode:
In CSJS, using "#{javascript:currentDocument.getItemValueString('radioButton'}" to get the value,
Doing some calculations in the "rendered" or "visible" properties, but that's SSJS and, if hidden, prevents any of the "show/hideDiv" CSJS visibility style changes.
Adding an old fashioned "div" to compute the style (which is what I used to do before XPages), but since I can't do pass-thru html any more, I can't seem to get a CSJS calculation for the style. Ideally, I can do something like this:

Where the ComputedValue would read the back end value of the document, and decide to add nothing or "display:none".
Note that I don't want to use viewScopes, since this long form would need many of them for all the other hide/when's.
Is there any way to make this 100% CSJS? I feel like I'm very close, but I wonder if there's something I'm just missing in this whole process.
First, rather than computing style, I'd recommend computing the CSS class instead -- just define a class called hidden that applies the display:none; rule. Then toggling visibility becomes as simple as a call to dojo.addClass or dojo.removeClass.
Second, I see that you're using the #{id:component} syntax to get the client ID of the radio button but using SSJS to get the client ID of the panel. Use the id: syntax for both; this is still just a server-side optimization, but if there are many instances of these calculations, it adds up. Similarly, replace #{javascript:currentDocument.getItemValueString('radioButton'} with #{currentDocument.radioButton}. Both will return the same value, but the latter will be faster.
Finally, any attribute of a pass-thru tag (any component with no namespace, like xp: or xc:) can still be computed, but you'll need to populate the expression by hand, since the editor doesn't know which attributes for valid for these tags, and therefore doesn't provide a graphical expression editor. So if the ideal way to evaluate the initial display is by wrapping the content in a div, the result might look something like this:

Has anyone experienced an issue with disableOutputTag property where if you disable output tag for a computed field control inside a repeat control and have ssjs computed content inside that tag, it won't compute the content? Is disableOutputtag property only meant to work with static content inside a repeat control or is it a bug?
I don't know whether its a bug or not, but you can emulate the behavior of disableOutputTag by removing the ID attribute from and setting the disableTheme attribute to true. Maybe this helps you in short term.

Not only does this happen when placing the xp:Text control inside a repeat but in also when you create a new XPage, add a xp:text onto it and define its value like:
<xp:text value="This is a test" disableOutputTag="true"/>
In the above example the xp:text will disappear. This is not what you would have expected. I would expect that only the value would be visible on the rendered page. But I think I can explain why this happens. Since there are no tags defined (disableoutputtag) somewhere in the rendered of this component it states that it should not generate anything. Because it can not bind its id to 'nothing' and so on.
Anyway, I could not think of a scenario where I would like to render plain text without any surrounding tags. It should at least be surrounded by a span or paragraph (<p>) tag so you can style it. And an ID would be nice so I can change the contents with a partial refresh.

Without actually seeing your code it's difficult to tell what is the more suitable way of doing this for you.
If you want to change to a specific color known at page generation time, do it client-side (javascript).
Make sure the grid row has a wicket:id so that Wicket can have control over it. Add it as a WebMarkupContainer if you haven't got it. Add a SimpleAttributeModifier for the onclick attribute that will change the css class of the element. For instance:

rowMarkupContainer.add(new SimpleAttributeModifier("onclick", javascript);
Where myClass is a CSS class that uses a new color.
Alternatively, you can always hardcode the onclick event handler in the HTML without specifying a wicket:id.
