After asking this question Htaccess URLRewrite to another map
That works great, but now i want to add an extra 'map', but that don't work.
My .htaccess file now:
ErrorDocument 404 /v2/404.php
ErrorDocument 404 /v2/505.php
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^error/([^/]+)/?$ error.php?id=$1 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^email/([^/]+)/?$ email.php?id=$1 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^activate/([^/]+)/?$ activate.php?code=$1 [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^werknemer/([^/]+)/?$ werknemer/$1.php [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteRule ^klanten/([^/]+)/?$ klanten/$1.php [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php [L]
Always the last wont work, now RewriteRule ^klanten/ don't work, and when i do RewriteRule ^werknemer/ after RewriteRule ^klanten/, RewriteRule ^klanten/ works but RewriteRule ^werknemer/ not.
How to fix this?
Thanks!

You need to duplicate the 2 conditions again. RewriteCond's are only applied to the immediately following RewriteRule, so you need to duplicate the conditions if they are to be applied to more than one rule:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^werknemer/([^/]+)/?$ werknemer/$1.php [L,QSA,NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^klanten/([^/]+)/?$ klanten/$1.php [L,QSA,NC]
Maybe you need it for your last rule as well:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/(.*?)/?$
RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}/%1.php -f
RewriteRule ^ /%1.php [L]
That checks if a trailing slash exists, and to remove it before seeing if adding the php to the end produces an existing file.
Related
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.html -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.html[L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ $1.php
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)$ /profile.php?name=$1
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/$ /profile.php?name=$1
This is currently .htaccess of my website. The rewriting supposes to have two functions, makes the internal url example/profile.php/name=xyz into example/xyz as external url, and also removes the extensions of html files.
But the extension removing is not working, and such as for a file named xyz.html, it gets 404 and
example.com/xyz/?name=xyz
At the address bar. I think there is some conflicts between two rules.
RewriteCond is only applicable to very next RewriteRule hence your last rule is running without any RewriteCond. Also you need to use [L] (Last) flag in all of your rules.
Use this code:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.html -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /$1.html [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /$1.php [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteRule ^([\w-]+)/?$ /profile.php?name=$1 [L]
I am trying to redirect http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all?u=hiphop to http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all/hiphop using htaccess. However, It keeps redirecting here: http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all/?u=site_error.php. I have looked all over Stackoverflow for the answer but I just can't seem to find it. I would really appreciate some help in fixing this problem, thanks!
Here is my .htaccess file
Options +FollowSymlinks
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.pearlsquirrel.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://pearlsquirrel.com/$1 [L,R=301]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}\.php -f
RewriteRule ^([^/]+)/$ $1.php
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(\.[a-zA-Z0-9]{1,5}|/)$
RewriteRule (.*)$ /$1/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([^/]+) explore_all?u=$1 [L]
You may try this:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} [^=]+=([^=]+)
RewriteRule .* /%1? [L]
Will map this:
http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all?u=hiphop
To this:
http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all/hiphop
Replace the corresponding code in your .htaccess file with this one.
I have not checked the rules in your .htaccess file.
OPTION
Now, if it is the other way around, which I think it is, and the idea is to map this incoming URL:
http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all/hiphop
To this resource:
http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all?u=hiphop
Replace the above rule set with this one:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} .*/([^/]+)/?
RewriteRule .* http://test.pearlsquirrel.com/explore_all?u=%1 [L]
I'm trying to redirect all requests to ./index.php?site=$1 while I only want to use the part behind the last slash.
So I want www.mydomain.com/firstpage to become www.mydomain.com/index.php?site=firstpage and www.mydomain.com/subfolder/anotherpage to become www.mydomain.com/subfolder/index.php?site=anotherpage
But right now www.mydomain.com/subfolder/anotherpage becomes
www.mydomain.com/index.php?site=subfolder/anotherpage
This is what I've got:
RewriteEngine on
Options +SymlinksIfOwnerMatch
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mydomain.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mydomain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?site=$1 [L]
What could I do to redirect only the part after the last slash?
Thank you so much!
SOLUTION:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule (.*/)?([^/]+)$ $1index.php?site=$2 [L]
Found this other, on my opinion more elegant solution. By this, the number of subfolders is irrelevant.
SOLUTION:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule (.*/)?([^/]+)$ $1index.php?site=$2 [L]
Finally figured out the answer myself.
At first I tried putting more RewriteRules under the same RewriteCond-lines gave me server errors. So I duplicated the RewriteCond-lines for the subdirectories:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)/(.*)$ $1/index.php?site=$2 [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?site=$1 [L]
I would like some help here. I am using MODx with YAMS module which is for multilingual. I follow the installation and setup document from YAMS but I still get 404 page not found.
I would like to get:
localhost/sub/en/index.php?id=1
localhost/sub/fr/index.php?id=1
localhost/sub/th/index.php?id=1
the original link is
localhost/sub/index.php?id=1
here is rewrite rule in htaccess file. I got the rewrite rule from YAMS in "Server Config" tab.
# Friendly URLs
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /sub/
# Fix Apache internal dummy connections from breaking [(site_url)] cache
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^.*internal\ dummy\ connection.*$ [NC]
RewriteRule .* - [F,L]
# Exclude /assets and /manager directories from rewrite rules
RewriteRule ^(manager|assets) - [L]
# Redirect from mydomain.com/rootname to mydomain.com/rootname/
RewriteRule ^en$ en/ [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^fr$ fr/ [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^th$ th/ [R=301,L]
# The Friendly URLs part
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^th/(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^fr/(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^en/(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
I am trying to search all the solutions everywhere. still no luck. please suggest or point me what i do wrong?
Thanks in advance
If you are getting links like localhost/en/index.php?id=1 in the frontend You have to fill the "MODx Subdirectory" field with "sub". You will find it in Modules->Yams->Other Params
Actually the problem is .htaccess file. I copys all .htaccess from YAMS and replaces the whole original .htaccess file. To solve my problem, I copy only friendly URL part and replace only this part in original .htaccess file.
here what I copy from YAMS and replace in my .htaccess file:
# Redirect from mydomain.com/rootname to mydomain.com/rootname/
RewriteRule ^en$ en/ [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^fr$ fr/ [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^th$ th/ [R=301,L]
# The Friendly URLs part
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^th/(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^fr/(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^en/(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
Many thanks for suggestions.
i have .htaccess file which includes below code.
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^imagefactory/(.*)$ imagefactory/index.php?q=$1 [QSA]
i want .htaccess file which fulfill below requirements.
if
1) url/admin then go to the admin folder and choose it's .htaccess file
2) url/imagefactory then go to the imagefactory folder and choose it's file called index.php
3) url/ then it choose root directory's index.php file
Try This
RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule ^imagefactory/(.*)$ imagefactory/index.php?q=$1 [QSA]
RewriteRule ^admin/.$ - [PT]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1
You should place the last rule 1 position up. This rule RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L] will match anything, and the [L] attribute there means not other rules will be evaluated when it matches. If you reorder it like below it should work.
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^imagefactory/(.*)$ imagefactory/index.php?q=$1 [QSA]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1
The .htaccess file is read in sequence. The RewriteCond are only meant for one rule.
Therefore all you need is:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^imagefactory/(.*)$ imagefactory/index.php?q=$1 [QSA, L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/admin/(.*)$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [QSA, L]
The second block is a catch all so that if its not from directory admin, use the default root index.php.
