Kentico CMSListMenu not displaying enough levels of the tree? - kentico

I have a kentico CMSListMenu which contains 4 levels at it deepest, i want to display the menu as a nested list down the left hand side of my content, this works fine for 3 levels but i cant get the 4th level to display.
I have this working on another site using the exact same code so i must be missing something, these are the menu expressions i have tried using:
<cc1:CMSListMenu ID="CMSTreeMenu1" runat="server" Path="/{0}/{1}/{2}/%" DisplayHighlightedItemAsLink="True" DisplayOnlySelectedPath="true" Indentation="0" MaxRelativeLevel="5" /></cc1:cmslistmenu>
<cc1:CMSListMenu ID="CMSTreeMenu1" runat="server" Path="/Products---Solutions/%" DisplayHighlightedItemAsLink="True" DisplayOnlySelectedPath="true" Indentation="0" MaxRelativeLevel="5" /></cc1:cmslistmenu>
do i need to set this somewhere else? perhaps somewhere inside of kentico to output so many levels down?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, this has been causing me problems for days

I believe that the CMS List Menu only displays cms.Page (Menu Item) documents by default. If you're trying to display other types of documents, make sure you set that in the menu properties.

Try setting DisplayOnlySelectedPath="false" to see if it displays everything as you expect it to under the menu.

Change order pagination options dojo

I make a table with dojo script, but it should see the diferent order of pagination options as that: 1. the page navigation choices, 2. page length menu and, 3. current position display.
I need help with that, how can I change that?
http://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/1.10/_images/pagination_ui_overview.bmp
In order to customize/modify an existing dojo widget you will need to manipulate the dom.
In this specific case you should use selectors like dojo/dom and dojo/query to select the portions of the grid you wish to move and then use dojo/dom-construct to place them in the correct location.
domConstruct.place(pageNavigation, positionDisplay, "replace");
Here is a jsfiddle which demonstrates a portion of what you are trying to accomplish and is a good starting point http://jsfiddle.net/kagant15/u6edz0b9/

drupal 7 nodes listed in views are not attached to the menu, but need to be

Using Drupal 7, I am displaying news articles via a View. The view is linked into the menu, naturally, but as a consequence the news articles are not. This becomes an issue because when an article's detail page is displayed, the site loses the active trail and consequently the breadcrumb trail and the left-hand secondary navigation menu lose their place.
Is there some way of setting the menu to think it's in a certain place within the menu tree, eg. Your College -> Life at the College -> News & Events?
I've seen menu_tree_set_path, which looks promising, but haven't seen an example of how it's used (at least in terms an Enthusiastic Amateur like myself would get).
As ever, any and all assistance given is greatly appreciated,
~Matt
The Context module will allow you to set the active trail of a drupal menu dependant on paths etc.
https://drupal.org/project/context
When you're dealing with breadcrumbs, an easy way to achieve breadcrumbs on a per content type basis (and others) is the custom_breadcrumbs module.
On a separate note, if you want to display full menus, look at the menu_block module. We used this plus the menu_tree_set_path() function to display local menus on nodes that weren't in menus.
$config = menu_block_get_config(1);
$path = "node/{$nid}";
menu_tree_set_path($config['menu_name'], $path);
$data = menu_tree_build($config);
The number passed to menu_block_get_config(), is the delta of the menu_block configuration in blocks.
With $data you can use a drupal_render or pass it back to another theme rendering function.

Dynamically add / remove editable area to custom control embedded in XPage

Okay... this is a little difficult to explain but I will try my best.
In Custom Control while adding properties in Property Definition we can set "Allow multiple instances" which allows us to add multiple instances of that property when the control is embedded in XPage.
Similarly, I need to know whether it is possible to add (and remove) Editable Areas in a custom control when it is embedded in XPage? What I plan is that I would have a repeat control inside my custom control and I would be able to put the contents in each editable area in every loop of that repeat.
Is this the right way to go about or am I looking at this problem incorrectly? Any solution not involving editable areas is also welcome :)
Update 4 Apr 2013:
A use case context I am looking for is a simple carousel where contents of each screen in carousel can have different contents. These contents would be put into each (dynamically added) editable area. The contents can be very different from each other with one screen containing only text, other only image and another both image and text.
Look at the table walker example in the 26 original exercises. It does mostly what you are looking for (conceptually). You won't need multiple editable areas. Whatever is inside the repeat gets repeated.
What you want to do is to give the control a custom property "boolean editMode" so you can render that one line to be edited - if that's the UI pattern you want to follow.
You also could consider a dojo table with Ajax which allows for a familiar spreadsheet UI

SharePoint 2007 - add additional menu to Global Navigation in a Master Page

In the source code for a master page, there is a section that has the following ASP.NET item: . This contains the "Welcome (User Name)" and Site Actions menus.
How do I create an additional menu that is similar to the look and feel of the Welcome menu? I've tried to create Front End HTML that behaves similar to the out of the box SharePoint menus, but it isn't quite right. I would prefer to utilize an ASP.NET or SharePoint control that acts similar to the SharePoint menu if that is possible.
For example, is <SharePoint:AspMenu> the appropriate control to use?
Thanks,
Robert
i am sure you will get better answer than this but just wanted to point what i have done to do this
i have added javascript library (JQuery) (for some other reason ) and when time come to do this thing i just added a JQuery code that creates another item in the navigation list with appropriate style and css class with the needed link and caption.
You could try another instance of the PersonalActions control with a custom GroupId. But when the control is rendered, it might also say "Welcome, [User]" just like the original.

How do I remove items from the Site Actions menu in SharePoint?

How can I customise the Site Actions menu to remove or rename 'standard' menu items? Where are the site actions menu items defined?
The site actions menu is defined in the Siteaction.xml in Template\layouts\editingMenu under the 12 hive. The following link shows how to manually remove items.
Customize Site Actions Menu
I have added options to the menu using features, but have never tried to hide OTB option in code. I would be interested in your results.
Good luck!
I was able to hide the menu item I wanted to hide by using ConfigMenu="Delete" in the relevant XML node of SiteActions.xml. e.g.
<ConsoleNode ConfigMenu="Delete" ChangedNodeID="wsaCreateSite" />
The valid values for ConfigMenu are documented at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.sharepoint.publishing.webcontrols.configmenuoptions.aspx
I have used a control that runs javascript to hide the entire site actions menu for users of a certain privelege level.
That approach may be an option if you need to remove items for particular users.
It is not the worlds classiest approach however.
