Security warning on custom Preview Handler - security

I wrote my own preview handler on .NET for Outlook 2007/2010 and XP/Vista/Windows7
When an e-mail with an attachment requires my handler to visualize it an alert says:
"you should only preview files from a trustworthy source"
I tried signing the EXE and the alert is still there.

The answer is setting this key on the registry: HKCR\Software\Microsoft\Office\Previewers\\PONTState = 1

I'm getting this Docusign Error CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY

One of my colleagues have originally posted this question at Salesforce StackExchange but we were also advised to post it here since there might be more devs familiar here on DocuSign.
We're creating a Salesforce app that sends a PDF file to DocuSign for signing. However, when DocuSign returns the PDF, it gives us an error.
We've configured the DocuSign sandbox to return the document back to Salesforce using the information in this link: https://support.docusign.com/articles/DocuSign-for-Salesforce-Adding-Completed-Documents-to-the-Notes-and-Attachments-New
Here is the error we get in the Docusign logs when it tries to return the document back to Salesforce:
SFIntegration unable to add attachment to SF ID: 8001X000000TvWdQAK,
SF Table: Contract, Error: Unable for insert (ShareType=I)
ContentDocumentLink for Test_Completed.Error:ErrorCode =
CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY, fields = .Unable to insert
(ShareType=V) ContentDocumentLink for Test_Completed.Error:ErrorCode =
CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY, fields =
Can anyone help us what is the error all about? Thanks.
I had the similar issue. I changed the version to 39 using 'Reconfigure Login' link for the connection and it worked !
Do you have a salesforce trigger? it's probably failing and then trying to roll back the changes.
Also, check if you have "Use Content Files" checked and what version of the API you're using. If you are using V2.1 with this checkbox - you may be getting this error.
(Later Edit):
You Must install Connect for Salesforce with 39 selected. If you had 21 selected and later change to 39 - that won't work, must have it from the beginning.

display sharepoint app in outlook 2013 and owa

I have created an SharePoint- hosted app and using office API’s within the start page. The app is added in exchange and enter image description hereapp web links are referred in appmanifest.xml.
1) On click of link, page renders as expected in OWA every time except for 1st time, following error occurs .
"App Error Something went wrong and we couldn't start this app. Please
try again later or contact your system administrator." console log
shows:“Uncaught Sys.ArgumentNullException: Sys.ArgumentNullException:
Value cannot be null.Parameter name: conversationId “ in
outlook-web-16.00.js:
It works as expected in subsequent calls.
2) The app doesn’t load in outlook client. Following error occurs in Microsoft Office Alerts :
App Error This app could not be started. Close this dialog to ignore
the problem or click "Restart" to try again. P1: Apps for Office P2:
15.0.4719.1001 P3: 0x80010105 P4: following is displayed in fiddler: X-MSDAVEXT_Error: 917656; HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized ........ ..
Access+denied.+Before+opening+files+in+this+location%2c+you+must+first+browse+to+the+web+site+and+select+the+option+to+login+automatically.
.....
All suggestions are highly appreciated.
This issue appears when we debug outlook apps in debug mode and the app exceeded the allotted time to load required office 365 js files into your app.
One thing i am doing to avoid this issue, in the browser you are using to authenticate using o365 account, check the box to login automatically to save time and load client js files faster post authentication step.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM display error returned from plugin through javascript

I am using Microsoft Dynamics CRM (off premise)
Microsoft Dynamics® CRM Online Spring '14 (6.1.0.575)
Via the javascript SDK making a call to create an entity which fires off a plugin. We do our custom validations in the plugin in pre-validation.
Javascript create call example from here -> http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg334427.aspx
//Create the Account
SDK.REST.createRecord(
account,
"Account",
function (account) {
writeMessage("The account named \"" + account.Name + "\" was created with the AccountId : \"" + account.AccountId + "\".");
writeMessage("Retrieving account with the AccountId: \"" + account.AccountId + "\".");
retrieveAccount(account.AccountId)
},
errorHandler
);
And then I can handle the error using that errorHandler function, like this:
function errorHandler(error) {
writeMessage(error.message);
}
However, I am trying to get the error to display in the CRM error dialog box from InvalidPluginExecutionException. It displays it when I create the entity from a form, but when I make the call through javascript I can't seem to get it to display in the CRM error dialog box. I want to keep with the CRM theme, not use alert() in javascript, and have users be able to download the full exception that we are sending back.
Is it possible to call the dlg_error.aspx page in CRM and populate it with our error message? I am grasping at straws right now, anything would help out a lot. Thanks!
If you are using CRM 2013, I would suggest you to use Workflow instead of JavaScript to create record.
Create a new workflow and un-tick the checkbox "Run this workflow in backgroung (recommended)".
Create record from newly created workflow.
Save and publish the record.
Now go the the ribbon and select 'Run Workflow'.
Select the newly created workflow and click 'Add'.
If there is an error thrown by Plugin, It will be displayed in standard CRM Error dialog box which will allow you to download the log file.
You can try to execute a synchronous jQuery ajax method, without catching error and see what happens. Creating a record from jScript you are using RESTful endpoint of CRM service, I am not sure if the error is going to be promoted in the same way. Try to use Fiddler if you would like to try opening error dialog yourself. Using new synchronous workflow feature might also do the trick.

Error in SPUtility send email

I am trying to send an email in the button click event in the webpart.However, the email sending is failed and error is logged in both sharepoint logs and event viewer of the machine.
The error is : Cannot connect to SMTP host
Outgoing email settings in central admin is already configured. Alerts are also working fine.
Below is my code:
StringDictionary headers = new StringDictionary();
headers.Add("to", "someone#abc.com");
headers.Add("from", "MySharePointEmail#myfatblog.co.uk");
headers.Add("subject", "How to use SendEMail from SPUtility");
headers.Add("content-type", "text/html");
string bodyText = "This is the body of my email, in html format.";
SPUtility.SendEmail(SPContext.Current.Web, headers, bodyText);
Thanks in advance
Try running your code without the System Account (if you are).
Try also disabling the LoopbackCheck:
To set the DisableLoopbackCheck registry key, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
Right-click Lsa, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type DisableLoopbackCheck, and then press ENTER.
Right-click DisableLoopbackCheck, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.
I got that fixed. Anti virus was causing the problem. But i am wondering how is SharePoint able to send mail then?
