I just want to show multitab on each node page. and want to pass node id to each tab. each tab should load content either via ajax if noscript it should load via url
Please help me with this any tutorial or reference
Thanks,
Edvin
Create a View that use the node id as an argument. Then you may use Panels to display your view at the desired nod, using tabs style.
Let me know if that was enough to solve your problem. :)
this module will do exact thing , though its more like an api, you have to create link using the function this modules provides .For example
l_ajax("add page", "node/add/page", "#content-content")
OR
<a class="ajax_link" href="node/add/page" rel="#content-content">Add page</a>

I'm trying to add a custom link to the menu on MODX Evolution by using DLMenu snippet. Menu displays pages, and after the second point I need to add an anchor link on the main page ... is it possible to somehow implement this at the template level, or apply certain filters?
Thanks for the help,
Alexey
Please share your DLMenu snippet call. If I understand correctly you need to use rowTpl/ rowHereTpl parameters, please use chunk here instead INLINE code and specify the next (snippet If is used):
<li[+classes+]>[+title+]</li>
[[if? &is=`[+iteration+]:=:2` &then=`<li>Home</li>`]]
I really hope I'm making sense with this one.
I'm trying to create a widget from a custom webpart that I created. It's nothing special at all as you can see:
<h3>Header</h3>
<p>Intro Copy</p>
<ul>
<li>List item one</li>
<li>List item two</li>
<li>List item three</li>
</ul>
I now want to be able to create a widget from this and create new fields that will be used to populate the above DOM. What do I need to do in order or do this.
In an example I saw for the demo site, they populated the bg image with:
style="background-image: url('{% ResolveUrl(PathToImage) %}');"
That was however done on the front facing part of the CMS and I'm trying to do it within the solution.
Any thoughts?
It's all in your layout or code behind. Your layout can have that code (but in ASCX format) and it will work just fine. OR you can add literal controls to the page based on the fields and what the user has entered.
Doing it in your layout is more restrictive and specific to that one application but allows you to use multiple new webpart layouts. Using the code approach allows you to be more dynamic but doesn't allow you to use the built-in layouts of the webpart/widget.
I would just use the Transformable Web Part in the Marketplace...it does exactly what you want it to do. Create a custom web part, and you use a Transformation to style the Web Part Properties into the DOM elements.
https://devnet.kentico.com/marketplace/web-parts/transformable-web-part
Reason why i built it!
I've done something similar in the past, using what I call generic web parts. I wrote a blog on it last year - it might help out with what I think you're trying to achieve:
http://www.mattnield.co.uk/Posts/Show/generic_web_parts_for_rapid_development
Why are you choosing to go with Widgets? If you want to access any field inside the transformation within the web part it's feasible by the same way as you define in inbuilt web parts.
If you want to perform any function like onload etc. then you need to use kentico API to access any data.
If you provide more insight on what is required, I can help further
i have purchased a website template and i need help concerning the website translator using google translate.
The translate works well but after selecting a language, a google drop down appears and when i scroll down, it still appears and hides my main header titles.
Can something be done like removing this drop down when i translate a language or can someone suggest me another method.
Thanks a lot.
The problem is the the contents in this bar are inside of an iframe, So you cant use javascript to trigger the close button.
Solution
Once the user chooses a language the an iframe with a class named 'goog-te-banner-frame'
is added.
You can use javascript to detect if it present and hide it
$(document).ready(function(){
if($('.goog-te-banner-frame').length > 0){//check if the iframe exsits
$('.goog-te-banner-frame').css('display','none');
$('body').css('top',0);//google adds top to the body so the bar wont cover website content
}
});
because this code uses jquery. make you sure you load it like this:
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
I'm trying to create a CSS documentation library in Orchard. I want to save a description, CSS snippet and HTML snippet against each content type. The first view would show the description and CSS and HTML code written out. The second view would show a preview of what the CSS and HTML look like rendered.
cssdocumentation.com/content/item1
cssdocumentation.com/content/item1/live-preview
I've created the content type and the first view. But I'm not sure how to create the second view. I can see if I can create the alternative URL I can use the Url Alternates module to create an overriding .cshtml
To create an alternative URL I've looked at the autoroute module but this only allows you to adapt a single URL (unless I'm missing something?) and I've looked at Alias UI but this forces me to manually create an alternative URL everytime I create a content item.
Is this possible in Orchard without writting too much C#? (I'm a frontend developer so I only dabble in the behind the scenes stuff)
Thanks for any help
Best solution is to do this within your own module. But as a secondary option instead of having a second page, combine this content with your first page and hide it with CSS. When the user clicks a button to navigate to the next step render the CSS/HTML result on the same page. You can do this in many ways, here are a few ideas:
Render the CSS/HTML result out straight away on the same page but hide it. Show it when the user clicks a button
using jQuery to render the result on the client side. More dynamic if you allow editing of the HTML and CSS.
Redirecting the user to the same page with specific url parameters which you can pick up in your alternate to modify the output.
I tried to add facebook like button to my veiws, which lists a particular node-type. I used views custom field module to add the iframe code.
The problem is when I click like..
it shows Nikhil liked http://example.com/node/44
instead it should have shown Nikhil liked node title on example.com.
Where am I going wrong.
Use Open Graph tags:
http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like
oK , well I was able to achieve the above feature by following methods:
Created a cck field url-alias under a content type for which views is being created.
Using views-custom-field module, I put in the facebook iframe code.
in my views I included the url-alias field in hidden form and used it to form the url in the like code.
I also used the fb-social module and after that all my likes button were working as expected.
You can check out how I did it here: http://www.jerryjr.com/adding-facebook-like-button-your-drupal-site
