How to make multilanguage views (Views-module) - drupal-6

I've been building a website with a whole bunch of articles in Dutch and English. But now I want to make a nice list of it according to their language.
I can fill in the path to a page (in the views-module) to nl/article_list but it doesn't follow that link when I click the Dutch translation which goes to nl/article_list. It doesn't show me any Dutch articles. Only English ones pop up here... :(
Can anyone say how to make this work with the language switcher?

Oh, I've found the answer myself. So for anyone who needs an answer on the same subject: http://www.computerminds.co.uk/multilingual-views-drupal-when-using-i18n-module
This is very useful in this position.

Appearing in google search result as default answer

When I search something in google like the following link, some default answers appear. https://www.google.com/search?q=integration+of+sin%5E2x&oq=integration+of+sin%5E2&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.19079j0j4&client=tablet-android-samsung&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#duf3=0,duf3-1-0
How can I register some of my site contents to appear as a default answer to some questions or phrases in google searches? Thank you
By being the best answer for that question.
How Google figures that out is a mystery they don't make entirely clear. So there is no magic bit of code you can add to your site, or tool you can submit your site to to get this. Just depends on Google.
Try googling for "SEO Google Answer Box" and you'll get plenty of opinions on how to improve your chances of this.

Why translation in liferay doesn't work - asset publisher

I start to use Asset Publisher in liferay. I added an article with some text in english. Then I want to add translation but there was no my language. So I added into portal-ext.properties next lines to enable more languages.
locales.enabled=ca_ES,zh_CN,en_US,fi_FI,fr_FR,de_DE,iw_IL,hu_HU,ja_JP,pt_BR,es_ES,cs_CZ,sk_SK
My language then appear, but the problem is the translation doesn't work. Not to my language, it doesn't work to any other languages. All it did is it just changed the font of the text. That's all. Can you help me and tell me what should I do? Thanks a lot.
Seems to be solved on the Liferay forums: You'll need to provide the translation yourself. Liferay offers the functionality to enter translated articles, but it doesn't translate the articles itself.
If I may add a personal remark: "...luckily". Automatic translation is not that good.

How to translate XPage application "on the fly"?

On IBM's website, I found a nice tutorial about localization of XPage applications. If you look in the comments, you'll see I added a couple before figuring out how to make it work.
For the fun of it, change the language option to French, and take a look at my comments below. My comments were translated! Not super well, but I was able to correct the French text, without changing the original English text. Based on the French, I don't believe the original wiki page was translated, either.
With localization, you can change the properties files, reimport them, etc... but what about the comments or text entered by users? Does anyone know how IBM did this?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Translations on the IBM wikis are machine translations that use n.Fluent from IBM Research for real-time translation. See the wiki help for details and the IBM developerWorks group for n.Fluent for more info.
Thanks, Doc! In my work group, we have offically certified translators who work with English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Arabic. They'll be able to translate all the programmatic terms, and we'll look into the Google API if we need to modify a lot of user entered text in the applications I'm building.

How to configure Search Module in Joomla to search in specified category?

Hey,
I'm newbie to Joomla
I would like to edit search module for searching in one category. How could i do that?
Thanks
I really doubt that you can do that with com_search.
The basic search is old and outdated, probably it will be soon dropped.
Check Smart Search (com_finder). It has lots of cool features and it may work very well for you.

Different link for a menu item in another language

I have a menu item in a Joomla 1.5 site that needs to have a certain link when it's in Greek (default language) and another link when it's in English.
I have seen this question which maybe gives me a hint, but I would need more detailed help. I don't even know in which files I'd need to insert the code. How do I find out what's the language id?
Why complicate it, I know in 3.0 and I think right back to at least 1.5 in the Menu item you can select which language the link appears for. So you have two link items, one which displays for English viewers and one for Greek.
Ps why are you still using 1.5, it is now officially unsupported, I strongly suggest you move up to at least 2.5 Joomla 1.5 end of life
I don't know are you use SEF on your site... But using JoomFish for multylanguage it very simple to make different links for the same menu item for different languages. Just make translation for menu item you need and enter different alias for this. For example you have a link www.mysite.com/gk/contacts. When you'll translate menu item Contacts on English and enter alias conatact-us you'll get a link like this: mysite.com/en/contact-us. I hope it will be helpfull for you.
