problem installing the latest MonoTouch 4.0 update - xamarin.ios

i have have a problem when I try to run the latest monotouch 4.0 update, the installer starts running the installation and show me a screen about "configuring the installation" then just abort the installation with the screen "Installation Failed". Can anyone help to figure out this problem ? where should i go to see what's my installation problem id ? by the way, I can install monotouch 3.2.6 just fine on my system

May be you file is corrupted and you have to download it another time
be sure that you turned of monodevelop and run then the installation

Try making sure you quit the iOS Simulator first. When the simulator is open, many programs fail to install for some reason (regardless of whether they are related to iPhone development or not)

Cannot uninstall / repair / install Node.JS to my system

I installed node.js to work on a discord bot with VSCode but it didn't work.
I reinstalled it but ticked the 'install chocolatey' box this time, halfway through the installation I got 3 trojan alerts from my AV, and cancelled the installation.
Since then, I have been unable to uninstall, repair or reinstall Node.JS, through the Windows 10 uninstall function or from the Node.JS .msi file.
Each time I try, I get the same error message:
"The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed."
I've removed all instances of Node.JS from my program files and %appdata%, I've ensure the Installer Service is running, and yet the Node.JS application still shows in the Uninstall Tool and when I try to uninstall / modify / reinstall, it shows the same error, and seems to think it's still installed on my system! Not even Node.JS commands work in my CMD!
I've got no idea how to fix this, and I don't want to use glitch anymore to write my bot, so please help- or it seem's I'll have to factory reset my PC and hope that resolves the issue.
Thanks in advance, guys.
Godspeed.
EDIT: I tried installing a newer version hoping it would overwrite old Node.JS files. Didn't work. Issue still occurring.
Do these:
Open command prompt as Administrator and run /sfc scannow. It will scan and replace corrupted files.
Restart your PC when the scan is done.

Nodejs - Another installation is in progress

System - Win 7 64 bit.
Nodejs - node-v6.9.4-x64.msi
Installation error - Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one.
Solutions that did NOT work - Run as admin, Run via commandline as admin, log had same error i saw in installer, don't install online docs option,
Please help me to fix this. Thank you !
This will not be an issue with your NodeJs installation, it might be because of your previous installation (might be any other software) which might be still in progress or not exit properly.
To solve your issue, please try restarting your machine once and install. This will indirectly kill your previous unstable installation and allow you to install NodeJs
I had this issue with '2017-03-21, Version 6.10.1 'Boron' (LTS)'. Restarting my PC solved the issue.
P.S. However, this issue seems to be specific to the NodeJs installer. I tried installing other programs after the NodeJs installation threw up this error and they installed fine (even before the restart).

"Gradle sync failed: process finished with non-zero exit 2"

I have found nothing to help me solve this problem, even though similar issue have been described in Stackoverflow, none which solve my problem. So here we go again.
I installed Android Studio in Ubuntu 14.04 (switching over from Windows 10). Followed the instructions as posted on Ubuntu site. Started a blank project and immediately got the following Gradle error:
Gradle sync started
8:54:11 PM Gradle sync failed: Process 'command '/opt/android-studio/jre/bin>/java'' finished with non-zero exit value 2
This is an empty project. All default settings. I'm at a loss. Maybe the ease with which I managed to get projects going in a Windows environment has led me towards unreasonable expectations with this Linux version... dunno.
I had this problem 2 days ago and changing the JDK path worked for me..
I downloaded Oracle jdk..
I hope that helps you
and Happy coding.
I have just solved the problem ,I think there is a problem in the default jre that comes with the android-studio (..../android-studio/jre) you can change it and see if it works for you.
find the java installed directory readlink -f $(which java) will reveal the path, in my case /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle/jre/bin/java
right click on project > open module settings then go to sdk location in the left panel set your jdk location.
if you don't have oracle jdk installed then you can try with openjdk .If it shows the same kind of error ,remove open jdk and install oracle jdk.
Hope it helps.

cant't get NetBeans to compile Java ME

I've been trying for the past 5 hours to make my java ME application to compile without any luck.
System:
W7 64X
NetBeans 7.0
Java JDK 32X
Error Message:
Execution failed with error code 1.
I've done the following things trying to fix it.
Added runMidlet to DEP.
turned off my anti-virus/firewall.
reinstalled and rebooted 5 times prolly.
and something I found on google.
Please edit <javamesdk_installdir>\toolkit-lib\modules\bootstrap\conf\system.properties and reconfigure the device-manager.object-registry.host=localhost to: device-manager.object-registry.host=127.0.0.1
And one other thing that can be the causes for this issue is the Port 1299 might be taken
Please edit <javamesdk_installdir>\toolkit-lib\modules\bootstrap\conf\system.properties and change
device-manager.object-registry.port=1299 to: device-manager.object-registry.port=1999
the only thing that has changed since I started is that now I get the error after 10 sec and before it was after 24sec.
Any kind of help is appreciated!
mine solved by installing standalone Java ME SDK http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javame/javamobile/download/sdk/index.html then in the netbeans go to Tools > Java Platform then remove default J2ME Platform, next click Add Platforms and locate your new Java ME SDK.
if that still failed try uninstall Java ME Plugin in Tools > Plugins > Installed then install Mobility in Available Plugins Tab
I do not know how you added JME SDK 3, but check bellow my setup

Fix MonoTouch install?

My MonoTouch install is screwed somehow (MonoDevelop won't even open).
So yesterday I deleted /Developer/MonoTouch off my Mac because that was the only directions I could find for uninstalling it. Today I tried reinstalling both it and MonoDevelop. Both installers ran fine, but I still have the same issue so I went to "uninstall" it again...and that directory doesn't exist this time.
Then I went to install an older version (2.6.7) and that installer tells me that I have a newer version already installed.
So....what do I do?
I am in a very, very bad mood because of all this right now. A months worth of work is now pointless unless I can get this running again.
EDIT
I finally got an older version of MonoTouch to install. Version 2.6.7 that was downloaded off of their site. Now when I run MonoDevelop I get an error that says "MonoDevelop requires the Mono Framework version 2.6.7 or later" and gives me the option to "Cancel" or "Download".
This is the error that I got that started this whole thing. I installed 2.6.7 but it doesn't recognize, and if I install 2.8 it just won't launch (icon bounces 3 times then does nothing, no error, no app).
EDIT 2
The other thing of note is that no matter how many times I install/uninstall/reinstall any version of the Mono Framework, nothing at all shows up in /Developer/MonoTouch.
I don't know how important that is, but considering something used to be there until this problem started I thought it worth mentioning.
Also since this problem started, I can no longer open any .xib files inside of Interface Builder. Whether that means one created in XCode or opening Interface Builder then creating a new View. Interface Builder runs fine, but as soon as I try to open any .xib it crashes with this error report.
I notice it says something about libxml2 in there which WAS installed yesterday and is probably the root cause of this...but I have uninstalled and reinstalled that as well with no luck.
You need to install Mono 2.6.7 or later, please download and install:
