Thanks
Try putting those last 2 lines before the first rule, so you end up with:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} page=135
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ http://www.ourdomain.co.uk/about-us/$1? [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

I have one question and I dont find the solution.
I habe a subfolder in my web root an I want to redirect all URLs to this subfolder without changing the URL.
Ex: domain.com/article123.html ->redirecting-> domain.com/subfolder/article123.html but in addressbar stays domain.com/artcle123.com
so I put the following in my root htaccess:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^(www\.)?domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule !^subfolder/ /subfolder%{REQUEST_URI} [L,NC]
But now when I test an URL with http://httpstatus.io I get the following
301 → Error while fetching URL. 11 redirect
in subfolder i have another htaccess:
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} =GET
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} "(.*)index.php"
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ %1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.(.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://%1/$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} ^(.*)\.(php|css|js|gif|jpg|jpeg|png)$ [NC]

I'm trying to set up some 301 redirects for old Kayako helpdesk URL's. The old URL's were;
example.com/index.php?/rest_of_url
I've set up rewriting so the URL's are prettier example.com/rest_of_url, and I'm trying to 301 redirect all old URL's to new. I've tried the following but they don't appear to work;
RewriteRule ^index.php?/(.*)?$ /$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^index.php\?/(.*)?$ /$1 [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^index.(.*)/(.*)?$ /$2 [R=301,L]
I can't quite figure it out.
EDIT:
Here is the whole .htaccess file
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule .* https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^/(.*)$
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ /%1? [R=302,L]
RewriteCond $1 !^(admin|api|console|favicon\.ico|robots\.txt|sitemap\.xml|index\.php|tiny_mce_gzip\.php|cron|onsite|staff|rss|setup|visitor|winapp|wallboard|__swift) [NC]
RewriteCond $1 !\.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif|js|css|htm|html)$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
RewriteCond $1 !^(favicon\.ico|robots\.txt|sitemap\.xml|index\.php|tiny_mce_gzip\.php|__swift) [NC]
RewriteCond $1 !\.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif|js|css|htm|html)$ [NC]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9]*)/(.*)$ $1/index.php?/$2 [L]
</IfModule>
The part after the question mark is not in the RewriteRule url.
You have to use %{QUERY_STRING}:
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^/(.*)$
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ /%1? [R=301,L]
%1is the first (.*) in the last RewriteCond.
In your case, without loop, use:
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} \s/+index\.php\?([^\s&]+) [NC]
RewriteRule ^ /%1? [R=302,L,NE]
I'm trying to do an .htaccess redirect from /modules.php?name=Farmtoschool
to a new URL.
I've looked at the other posts here but it doesn't seem to work. (full htaccess below, redirect at the bottom)
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteRule ^wp-admin$ wp-admin/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $1 [L]
RewriteRule ^(.*\.php)$ $1 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/modules.php$
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^name=Farmtoschool$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://mynewdomain.com/modules.php?name=Farmtoschool [R=301,L]
this is the link that I want to redirect:
http://myolddomain.com/modules.php?name=Farmtoschool
Any ideas? Thanks
Reorder your rules by keeping redirect rule before WP rules:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^name=Farmtoschool$
RewriteRule ^modules\.php$ http://farmtoschoolbc.ca/modules.php?name=Farmtoschool [NC,R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
# add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
RewriteRule ^wp-admin$ wp-admin/ [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
RewriteRule ^ - [L]
RewriteRule ^(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $1 [L]
RewriteRule ^(.*\.php)$ $1 [L]
RewriteRule . index.php [L]
The following redirect is preventing a form with php_self from running functions on the same page properly.
I was having trouble removing the trailing slash for some reason on this server so I went this route. Found it interesting! The page refreshes but runs no code. Changing the page to prevent redirect goes back to working. Any thoughts?

RewriteEngine On

RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/([0-9]+)/$ moreprod.php?id=$1&topid=$2&catid=$3
Still it does not work
I get: http://www.lebmotors.com/new/moreprod.php?id=107&topid=4&catid=8
What AM I doing wrong
Many Thanks
First of all, you don't need to repeat RewriteEngine On directive.
Then, when you add your rules, you still can access your pages via moreprod.php (but you can also access it from new clean url).
Here's how your htaccess should look like, assuming moreprod.php is also in new folder
Options -MultiViews
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /new/
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /moreprod\.php\?id=([^&\s]+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule . moreprod/%1/? [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /moreprod\.php\?id=([^&\s]+)&topid=([^&\s]+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule . moreprod/%1/%2/? [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /moreprod\.php\?id=([^&\s]+)&topid=([^&\s]+)&catid=([^&\s]+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule . moreprod/%1/%2/%3/? [R=301,L]
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /morenews\.php\?id=([^&\s]+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule . morenews/%1/? [R=301,L]
RewriteRule ^morenews/([^/]+)/$ morenews.php?id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^moreprod/([^/]+)/$ moreprod.php?id=$1 [L]
RewriteRule ^moreprod/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/$ moreprod.php?id=$1&topid=$2 [L]
RewriteRule ^moreprod/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/$ moreprod.php?id=$1&topid=$2&catid=$3 [L]
With this code, if you try (for example) to reach http://domain.com/new/moreprod.php?id=123&topid=456&catid=789 then you'll redirect to http://domain.com/new/moreprod/123/456/789/
Conclusion
You can now access your pages via clean urls like
http://domain.com/new/moreprod/123/ (id=123)
http://domain.com/new/moreprod/123/456/ (id=123 and topid=456)
http://domain.com/new/moreprod/123/456/789/ (id=123 and topid=456 and catid=789)
Resolved, just moved these lines to the bottom of .htaccess
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /new/
....
RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /moreprod\.php\?id=([^&\s]+)\s [NC]
RewriteRule . moreprod/%1/? [R=301,L]

RewriteRule ^moreprod/([^/]+)/$ moreprod.php?id=$1 [L]
.....
RewriteRule ^moreprod/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/([^/]+)/$ moreprod.php?id=$1&topid=$2&catid=$3&cagid=$4 [L]
# THIS TO THE BOTTOM

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.php -f
