Sharepoint 2010 custom webpart paging - sharepoint

I am trying to implement simple paging on my sharepoint webpart. I have a single news articles list which has some simple columns. I want to be able to have then five on a page and with some numerical paging at the bottom. I have gone through the net trying to understand splistitemcollectionposition but with no luck. If anyone can help please can you give me a simple code example or some guidanc

I would suggest using SPDataSource and a SPGridView, together they will implement paging and many other cool features with minimal or no code.

Use this a a guide for some of the classes/methods/properties you might need to use to get paging to work. Be aware that this code does not compile, i have just pulled together various code snippets that i have in my own list results framework, which includes paging, sorting, grouping and caching. It should be enough to get you started though.

Best Practice to limit NotesViewEntryCollection from getAllEntries

I want to create better web service that display collection from NotesView with pagination.
And I have found some performance issue of View.getAllEntries from bigger view.
On MongoDB, I can use findAll() with skip() and limit().
How can I do like that on Domino ?
Use the ViewNavigator class. If you are paging through a large view, it is much faster than view.getAllEntries().
You can acquire an instance of ViewNavigator with view.createViewNav() or a similar method. For best performance, call view.setAutoUpdate(false) before you acquire the navigator.

First of all create first an array that should make your life easier. Instead of manually doing it one by one.

I try to store all data from an object called BinNews, to a vector called binN. But when I do debugging, I found that BinN has null value, because "binN.addElement(bin)" doesn't work.
Please advise.
First, you don't actually call setBinN until after the while(i < 10) loop completes. So when you say binN.addElement(bin) then binN will be null.
However your setBinN(binN) call doesn't make sense because you're passing in binN and then setting it to itself which isn't going to do anything.
What you can do is have binN = new Vector(); at the top of the constructor and then it won't be null later on. I don't think the setBinN call will be necessary later on if you're adding the BinNews objects straight to binN.

Recursive linkscraper c#

I'm struggling with this a whole day now and I can't seem to figure it out.
I have a fucntion that gives me a list of all links on a specific url. That works fine.
However I want to make this function recursive so that it searches for the links found with the first search and adds them to the list and continue so that it goes through all my pages on the website.
How can I make this recursive?

Anyone knows how I can either make that function recursive or can I make the ReturnLinks function recursive? I prefer to not touch the LinkFinder.Find method as this works perfect for one link, I just should be able to call it as many times as needed to expand my final url list.
I assume you want to load each link and find the link within, and continue until you run out of links?
Since it is likely that the recursion depth could get very large, i would avoid recursion, this should work i think.

This should be working. I've tried your code on my 2010 farm and it works fine (should also work for WSS3).
Did you forget to do an iisreset after updating the assembly ?
Your best chance to finding a solution is to use the debugger. You can attach the debugger to the right w3wp.exe process. If you don't know which one, select them all. Then set a breakpoint on your event handler and check where you lose your selection.
You don't need to override OnInit, you can put EnsureChildControls() in btnSubmit_Click.
