JIRA: Searching for all issues with a given link type - search

Is there a way to query for all issues with a particular link type?
For example, let there be a dependency link where an issue can "depends on" another issue. Is there a query to find all issues that depend on some other issue (aka. all issues with the "depends on" link)?
I know there is the linkedIssues (key, linkType) function that returns the key of all issues that have the linkType with the issue with key. I want to find all issues with a linkType with any issue.
Thanks!

You can use Script Runner plugin - Edit: It unfortunately is no longer free. The last version before 4.0 still is, though. Details here https://www.adaptavist.com/doco/display/SFJ/Downgrade+ScriptRunner
It sports a ton of incredibly useful functions, one of these is hasLinks()
Usage example:
issueFunction in hasLinks("blocks") OR issueFunction in hasLinks("is blocked by")

You can hack it with Craftware JQL's linkedIssuesFromFilter, where the filter would be "all issues"

The included function mentioned by Alexander is ideal for its purpose but if you want something more advanced check out the commercial JQL Tricks plugin: https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JQLT/Issue+Link+Functions

If you need a JIRA On-Demand solution - you might find this paid Add-On useful
It exposes MongoDB syntax and some conditions builder UI, so you should be able to search for the issues:
linkedIssuesHaveStatus([status])
subtasksHaveStatus([status])
linkType([linkType])
workBetween([started|created|updated], [from], [to])

Node.jar : release status and expected roadmap

Ive been looking arround stackoverflow for informations about nashorn lately and node.jar too. But i noticed there is still nothing covered about node.jar.
Does anyone have a document or extended resource about current project status as well as its roadmap ?
p.s: i suggest someone creates a node.jar tag
Oracle decided not to use node word in this project name because of legal reasons. Current name of this thing is Project Avatar. Most like Avatar.js is exactly that you're looking for.
You can find more details here https://avatar.java.net/

JIRA plugin to view previous issue status

I am looking for a JIRA plugin that will show the status of issues at a previous date I give it. So if I tell it Monday of last week, I would like all of the issues that existed at that time with their status at that time. I was wondering if such a plugin existed or if there is another way to go about this. Thanks for reading and for any help you provide.
*Note, I made a excel macro to basically do this but it includes a gigantic mysql query that I would not like not to use if such a plugin already exists.
I don't think that such a plugin exists at all because this would involve issue statistics to show how the issue changed over time.
You can post an feature request with the Atlassian JIRA team to see if this is possible or not. They could also include this feature in a future release or a proprietary plugin if they see that there is enough interest.

Export list of Sitecore items as Excel (or other formats)

I noticed that sitecore has the option of exporting users in an Excel format.
I need to have similar functionality for exporting 'participations', (a users can enlist to take part in an 'event', and if their entry is approved via a sitecore workflow, a 'participation' item is created in the content tree)
Since mostly everything in Sitecore is in essence based on items, and I want to export items to Excel, my question is - what are some of the best ways of doing this?
Questions:
Is there a way to re-use this functionality for regular items?
Would it be a good idea to create a custom admin page (any tips on doing this?) which has some custom code that reads the items from the database using the API?
are there sitecore plugins/shared source projects that can help me achieve this?
Or does anyone have a better idea? - would it be better to just store the participations in SQL? I'm mostly doing it this way because I want to make use of the 'free' functionality offers, for example workflow, but if that leads to me using anti-patterns please shoot me ;)
Link is different now: https://marketplace.sitecore.net/en/Modules/Advanced_System_Reporter.aspx
P.S. Couldn't leave a comment to original answer as I don't have enough reputation. Oh well :)
Found a most excellent shared source module which does exactly this (and much more)!
Basically it allows you to configure (and easily extend, if you need to) any kind of table based report on 'items'.
The report module shows up as an application in the sitecore menu (like the user manager tool) and comes with features such as xml, csv, xls export. It's also really easy to set up, once you get the hang of it.

Google docs viewer url parameters

Is there any sort of documentation on exactly what parameters you can put in the url of Google viewer?
Originally, I thought it was just url, embedded, chrome, but I've recently come accross other funny ones like a,pagenumber, and a few others for authentication etc.
Any clues?
One I know is "chrome"
If you've got https://docs.google.com/viewer?........;chrome=true
then you see a fairly heavy UI version of that doc, however with "chrome=false" you get a compact version.
But indeed, I'd like a complete list myself!
I know this question is very old and perhaps you already solved your issue, but for anyone on the internet who might be looking for an answer...
I have been looking for this recently, following a guide I found on GitHub Gist
https://gist.github.com/tzmartin/1cf85dc3d975f94cfddc04bc0dd399be
More specifically, the option to embed a certain page of pdf using
<iframe src="https://docs.google.com/viewer?srcid=[put your file id here]&pid=explorer&efh=false&a=v&chrome=false&embedded=true" width="580px" height="480px"></iframe>
The best I could fing was this article (I suppose from a long time now)
https://weekly-geekly.github.io/articles/111647/index.html
HOWEVER, I tried modifying the attributes and the result was simply a redirect to
https://drive.google.com/file/d/[ID]/edit
https://drive.google.com/file/d/[ID]/preview or
https://drive.google.com/file/d/[ID]/view
AS OF MAY 2020, THIS SOLUTION PROBABLY DOESN'T WORK
I'm also on a quest to discover some of the parameters of the viewer.
the "chrome" parameter doesn't seem to do anything, though. Is this
supposed to be the same as embedded=true?
Parameters I know of:
url= (obviously)
embedded= (obviously)
hl= set language of UI (tooltips)
#:0.page.1 = jump to page 2 (page 1 is numbered 0) - this is unreliable and often requires a refresh after the first load,
defeating the purpose.
That said, when I use the Google Docs viewer on my site, "fit page to
screen" is the default view without any parameters. So maybe I'm
misunderstanding your question.
Source: For convenience, this is a full quote of the sole answer (it is from user k3david) to the crosspost of this question #Doc has posted to the Google support forum in 2011.
You can pass q=whatever to pass a search query to the viewer.

Bug template in Bugzilla

Is there any way to enforce a template in Bugzilla to guide users fill in bugs descriptions ?
Actually, i'd like to put some markup texts in the bug description field and avoid the creation of custom fields.
I've installed version 3.2rc1.
Indeed, just check ../enter_bug.cgi?format=guided , which forms an example of the template feature. Half the work is already done for you.
The mechansism described under 6.2.5 Particular Templates (under the section called bug/create/create.html.tmpl and bug/create/comment.txt.tmpl) works pretty well for us. Even though you say you don't want to create custom fields, adding some arbitrary HTML is easy enough.
