I am uploading EML files to sharepoint document library.
The problem is that after uploading the file when i click on the link of the EML file from the document library, it will be opened in html format, so i can't see the attachment,cc...
How to solve this problem?
I want the eml file to be opened in windows mail.
I believe this is more of a client integration issue than a SharePoint issue. What is the default association for .EML files on your system?
Check this link to associate .EML files with a particular program, e.g. Windows Mail so they open with that program:

I was emailed an excel file with a number of links to install direct printer queues. If I open the excel attachment directly from the email the links work, but if I save the attachment to my desktop the links no longer work and I get an error “Cannot open the specified file”.
If I copy the link into Windows explorer, it works fine. Is there a way to ensure the links still work from excel when the file is saved in a shared location so anyone with access to the file can click on the links without having to copy the link into Windows explorer?
I am trying to delete a file in SharePoint 2013 Library.
The file is not checked out to anyone and I am the site collection administrator of the site.
when I open the folder using explorer view, it is blank.
When I open it using SharePoint designer then it says
SERVER ERROR: CANNOT REMOVE THE FILE. ERROR CODE:2.
Could you delete the file through the SharePoint document library UI?
Whether the file has unique permission? How many characters does the name of this file have?
Please check whether the file is published and approved.
Try to create a new file on your computer with the same file name and extension and then upload it to the same document library then delete it.
I have deployed a SharePoint webpart (SharePoint Framework) to Microsoft Teams. In this web part, I have a list of files that I want to open directly in Teams.
I have tried to get the link from the "Files" tab (https://teams.microsoft.com/l/file/7FFA7D9D-CBF1-4679-9C80-76446AE11ABD?tenantId=0f48c6f4-52a5-4553-b476-4ee2ee0aecca&fileType=docx&objectUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fxyz.sharepoint.com%2Fsites%2FAZRTZ%2FShared%20Documents%2FGeneral%2FArchitecture%2FTest.docx&baseUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fxyz.sharepoint.com%2Fsites%2FAZRTZ&serviceName=teams&threadId=19:0d1f6f397c51421189e791a9ab436a48#thread.skype&groupId=98edc5a8-02ac-4f58-8638-ea88ac6aaa4d) and put it in the href="" of the link. It does not work, it opens the file in the browser.
I also tried to put the direct link in the href (https://xyz.sharepoint.com/sites/AZRTZ/Shared Documents/General/Architecture/Test.docx). It downloads a copy of the file in the browser.
I want to open the file directly into Teams, the same way the files are opened if the user goes to the "Files" tab (eg. if the user opens a .doc file, Word Online in Teams must open, if the user opens an image, a previsualisation in Teams must be opened, ...)
Succeed with a shorter version of the Deep Link syntax myself, in a message card from an incoming webhook connector, provided I used the OpenUri action syntax and not a plain markdown link:
https://teams.microsoft.com/l/file/?fileType=<extension>&objectUrl=<absoluteUrl>
this was linking to Sharepoint files.
Using the Deep link I managed to open the file directly in Teams. I had to format the URL :
https://teams.microsoft.com/l/file/{file-id}
?tenantId={tenant-id}
&fileType={file-type (jpg, xlsx, docx, ...)}
&objectUrl={file-encoded-link (SharePoint link, aboslute URL)}
I am trying to download a .rar attachment in Gmail with .exe files, But Gmail virus scanners blocked the attachment from downloading. How can I download it ?
Have the sender remove the exe file extension or change it to a "dummy" one, then when you download the file, change the extension back to exe. For example, if you have a file called "virus.exe", rename it to "virus.virus" (or "virus" with no extension). Then after downloading rename the file back to "virus.exe".
Open email click the down arrow at right and select show original and save file as eml.
Here is the source which shows complete setup by step process and with video also
Download blocked gmail files easy way
Gmail's Android app lets you download blocked files or save them to Google Drive.
I just saved it to my drive and yes, its working.
We would like to be able to upload files with a .std extension to a list on our SharePoint Foundation site, but get an error message when we try: "Unable to read cabinet info from". I assume it is because SharePoint templates use the same extension.
My question is thus, is there a way to enable upload files with .stp extension without breaking SharePoint, possibly on a list-by-list basis?
Best regards, Egil.
The problem is that the STP extension is the web/list template extension of SharePoint, which is basically a CAB (cabinet) file (a kind of compressed file format). SharePoint will attempt to open the cabinet to extract data from it, such as template title and language. As your STP files are in the wrong format, this fails. I would suggest changing the extension prior to uploading (e.g. zip the files).
