I have a problem with the Create View in the SimpleRepository example in Subsonic 3. I get an error at line (28):
<%=Html.DropDownList("CategoryID",new SelectList(Blog.Category.All(),
"categoryid", "description")) %>
Basically, .All() is not known. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Not that should make a difference for this error but I am using VS2008 with the GDR installed.
This is still an issue in 3.0.0.1 (latest download) , although the download doesnt look any dif from the original release.
This was resolved in 3.0.0.1

I have import a fully Refined model in my latest version of Rodin Platform and I am trying to use a IUMLB with ProB animator in this project. But since the project already had a preconfigured AnimB animator which the latest Rodin Software does not support. The error states "unknown configuration org.animb.valuation.valBase".
How to remove or fix this AnimB configuration from the project?
I managed to Fix this problem myself :).
Not all that I had But this specific problem was fixed by opening the file in Text Editor where the error was showing in and I just deleted the org.animb.valuation.valBase from the eventb.core.configuration as shown below:
Earlier:
<org.eventb.core.contextFile org.eventb.core.configuration="org.eventb.core.fwd;org.animb.valuation.valBase;de.prob.symbolic.ctxBase;de.prob.units.mchBase" version="3">
Later:
<org.eventb.core.contextFile org.eventb.core.configuration="org.eventb.core.fwd;de.prob.symbolic.ctxBase;de.prob.units.mchBase" version="3">
This fixed my problem. No more errors :)
Was amphp/thread discontinued? amphp/amp is working perfectly but when I run ANY of the example coding from amphp/thread git, I get all kinds of errors. Not one example is working. I noticed last update was in 2014.
Is there any way for me to get amphp/thread working? Was it replaced? With what replacement?
I have php 7.0 installed on mac, built with thread safety. EV, EVENT, UV are all enabled.
My .jason file looks like this
"amphp/amp": "v0.17.0", "amphp/thread": "v0.8.1"
Much appreciated.
I found the answer to this question in a discussion here:
https://github.com/amphp/thread/issues/14
amphp/thread is no longer being supported but there is hope that it will be picked up again in the future to work with amphp/amp v2. No concrete timeline on when this will happen was given.
Also, amphp/parallel is considered to be the replacement for amphp/thread.
I have this query in my UWP project (I use EF7 and Sqlite in my app):
var query = (from s in db.tblStudent
join h in db.tblTests on
s.NameTest equals h.NameTest
select( s.NameTest)).ToList();
When I compile my project with .net native I got this exception:
'System.Reflection.MissingMetadataException' in System.Private.CoreLib.dll
'System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable>' is missing metadata.
I studied http://dotnet.github.io/native/troubleshooter/type.html and
http://dotnet.github.io/native/troubleshooter/method.html links but I can not create a correct directive for default.rd.xml.
Can anybody help me to write the correct directive?
Fortunately, these problems have been solved in the Updated version of Visual Studio 2015.
Using Installshield 2011, we're creating a major upgrade and having problems upgrading software with this Product Version format - 2009.727.1365. We keep getting the standard 'Installed software is newer than product to be installed' message. With IS 2011, the major version has to be less than 255, from what I can gather, and I think the old format we're using is breaking the check for upgrading.
I've created a test IS project upgrading from 1.00.0000 to 2.00.0000 with no issues, so I'm thinking the issue has to be related to the format of the product version already installed.
Is there a way to use InstallScript or something to compare our old format with the new one and then do an override?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
**I ended up using Christopher's reply in the link he provided below (Exceeding Version Limits). This seemed to handle the uninstallation of the existing product very well. Thanks again Guys!
It sounds as if you'll need to remove or modify the ISPreventDowngrade major-upgrade item, which is what detects and prevents this kind of version downgrade (and which is usually what one wants).
(Posted follow-up to question here, too: http://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?t=195076.)
Your ProductVersion property is invalid. The SDK says:
The value of the ProductVersion property is the version of the product in string format. This property is REQUIRED.
The format of the string is as follows:
major.minor.build
The first field is the major version and has a maximum value of 255. The second field is the minor version and has a maximum value of 255. The third field is called the build version or the update version and has a maximum value of 65,535.
I also recommend reading Exceeding Version Limits.
There are hacks to work around this if you understand how FindRelatedProducts and RemoveExistingProducts works.
Even though this is an older I'd like to add my two cents.
I am creating an Installshield 2012 Spring project and I had the same issue.
Our previous installers had a Product Version in the format 2005.xx.xxxx. Obviously this 2005 was an issue.
Instead of setting the ISACTIONPROP1 property to any value (as mentioned in http://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?195076-Old-Product-version-in-2009-727-1365-format).
I added a major upgrade item with the following values:
Product code of the old installers: xxx (enter yours here)
Minimum version: 2005.001.0001
Maximum version: 2005.255.65535
Version Range Inclusive (might be overkill)
With this, the system does allow the 2005.xxx.xxxx format here. It detected and removed the previous installation. For our newer installations we will use our "normal" versions:
5.008.0001
5.009.0001
...
Note, I have used subsonic 2.2 extensively and love it. This is my first experience with 3.0.
I want to add subsonic to my class library rather than the website. First when I do this, and try and run the custom tool to compile the template files, I get errors saying there is not app.config file. In subsonic 2, I was able to do this and point it to my web.config file. So first question is can I use the web.config file when adding subsonic to an external class library?
The second thing that I'm experiencing are 44 identical compile errors.
This is the error from VS 2008:
Error 44 'krazyCommon.model.atDB' does not contain a definition for 'Provider' and no extension method 'Provider' accepting a first argument of type 'krazyCommon.model.atDB' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) C:\dev\krazybuys\krazyCommon\model\StoredProcedures.cs 175 100 krazyCommon
and this is the code that is causing it. The end of the line this.Provider is where the error is being caused. In VS it has a squiggly line under it.
public StoredProcedure aspnet_UsersInRoles_RemoveUsersFromRoles(){
StoredProcedure sp=new StoredProcedure("aspnet_UsersInRoles_RemoveUsersFromRoles",this.Provider);
return sp;
}
I'm perplexed as I think I'm doing everything correct. Any help would be appreciated.
Many Thanks.
Update, I did find the cause of the compile error. I changed the namespace in the settings file. However, the namespace did not update in the storedprocedure.tt output. It does change for activerecord and content, but not storedprocedures. I manually changed the namespace and it compiled without error.
Is this a bug in the template or subsonic?
Is it possible to change the namespace in settings? And if so, should subsonic pick that up if you right click on activerecord, content and storedprocedures and "Run custom tool" again.
Thanks
Sorry I forgot to add that I did add an app.config file to the class library and added a conn string before I got the 44 errors.
