What are the codes related to CDMA phones? Like we have IMSI,IMEI,CellID in GSM,do we have any such codes that can be retrieved from a CDMA phone?
And can anyone suggest how to retrieve them from a phone(programatically)?
There is still no standard J2ME telephony API, so either see what the cbs connection in JSR-120 can give you or use system properties.
I would suggest trying to retrieve the same codes on a GSM phone and on a CDMA phone. It might just work.

I'm trying to make my windows computer a valid output for bluetooth audio from my phone. Enabling the actual audio was easy enough using the winrt AudioPlaybackConnection, but I'm trying to get metadata working and running into dead ends in the Windows UWP documentation. I'm familiar with the MediaPlayer class, but I can't see how to set the source to the AudioPlaybackConnection. My next thought was to create a MediaPlayer and handle the controls/metadata myself, but I can't see how to access the metadata for the AudioPlaybackConnection either. I tried getting the BluetoothDevice matching the same phone since I see the properties for the actual device list AVRCP Transport and A2DP SNK as two separate hardware "devices" making up the phone device, but I have no more luck accessing metadata with the BluetoothDevice. I know Windows 10 supports Bluetooth's AVRCP and can handle metadata/controls (source), but I'm beginning to think it's under a different device in winrt and I don't have the winrt know-how to track it down.

I am trying to make it so that my ESP32 board can detect my phone when I approach it based on RSSI. However, the ESP32 cannot see the phone unless the phone is in discovery mode, which is not super useful. To solve this, I was hoping to pair my phone with the ESP32 so that the phone would always be looking for the ESP32, and connect when it is found without any human intervention.
I decided to try the Arduino integration, but as I was working through all of the examples I couldn't find any with this functionality, so I'm kind of lost. If this is not possible or easy with Arduino, I am willing to switch, but I was unable to find anything about pairing in the normal phone interface for ESP-IDF either.
So, basically, using an ESP32, how do I pair to a phone?
The easiest way is to make the esp a gatt server and advertise a specific service. The phone will look for that specific service and connects if found.
You could make an app for your phone, like for ios its pretty easy. But keep in mind for mobile devices a continuous search for devices could be power unfriendly if misused.
If you use esp-idf instead of arduino, some examples are included. (You could use the vscode integrated esp-idd) Check learnesp32.com for an easy step into the basics, coming from Arduino.
I need to get the friendly device name from a ble sensor. I want to find the device and tell the user they are connected to "My Home Sensor" for example. I can find the device, but I don't know how to find that data.
In regular bluetooth, I believe I can use BLUETOOTH_DEVICE_INFO or winsock.
Is there a bluetooth low energy equivalent to bluetooth's BLUETOOTH_DEVICE_INFO?
If possible, could you please provide an example for how to get the information (i.e. device name)?
I'm using Windows 8.1, c++ and visual studio 2013. I've been referencing windows dev docs, but I haven't found anything useful yet.

Assuming that you are able to get connected with the GATT Server, when you parse the GAP profile of the device, you will find an attribute for Device Name under Generic Access Profile (GAP).
This is a list of all the standard GATT Services and their UUIDs. UUID for GAP is 0x1800.
You can look for the list of all the standard Characteristics and their UUIDs. For the Device Name Characteristic, it is 0x2A00.
This explains that the Device Name characteristic is a part of the GAP.
I am using a generic BLE plugin for PhoneGap when developing a BLE enabled application. It gives me beacons identification and RSSI, but reading more advanced attributes like battery status or TX power require specific communication with a beacon, which is manufacture dependant as far as I know. Does anybody of you know, how to read for example the battery status from Stick'n'Find BLE beacons. So far I have been able to discover, that it's necessary to connect to the beacon and after it a characteristic has to be read. But here, I am lost.
