REDHAWK_DEV FAILED on 2.0.0, CentOS 6.7 - redhawksdr

I've installed REDHAWK 2.0.0 from rpms on CentOS 6.7, run shell scripts as required, configured omniORB as required, updated SDRROOT permissions as required, and run cleanomni from a terminal command line, but cannot get REDHAWK_DEV to launch in the REDHAWK IDE. Right-clicking on Target SDR > Launch Domain... brings up the "Launch Domain Manager" dialog box with: red 'x" over the label 'Domain Manager'; default Device Manager visible and selectable; and "OK" button greyed out.
Attempting to connect via right-clicking REDHAWK_DEV > Connect throws error: 'Connecting Domain' has encountered a problem. Failed to connect to REDHAWK_DEV', and Details>> gives:
org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Error while executing callable. Caused by org.omg.CORBA.ORBPackage.InvalidName'
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

You should be able to check the error by hovering over the red x marker in the launch domain dialog. But it's likely one of two problems:
Stale info in the naming service (try cleanns at the command line, then re-open the dialog), or
The naming service isn't running (try stopping it, clearing out /var/log/omniORB, and starting it)
The other issue you mentioned (right-click, "Connect" from context menu) is to connect to an already running domain. It doesn't launch it.

Thanks for that advice. But hovering over the red 'x' does not make visible any dialog box or tooltip.
I removed the files error.log, omninames-avl.bak, and omninames-avl.log from the directory /var/log/omniORB, ran cleanns, cleanes, and cleanomni, stopped and restarted both omniNames and omniEvents.
But none of these procedures had any effect on the symptom; the default domain is still visible and selectable, but not launchable.

django.db.utils.DatabaseError: Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-01804

Q1. What versions are we using?
Ans.
Python 3.6.12
OS : CentOS 7 64-bit
DB : Oracle 18c
Django 2.2
cx_Oracle : 8.1.0
Q2. Describe the problem
Ans. While running server with "python3 manage.py runserver"
application is able to contact Oracle DB and show the Django Administration page and login also works.
But when we access the application using the Apache (HTTPD) based URL over secure SSL port, we do see the Django page and the admin page as well but Login to Admin page with Internal server error.
In the logs, we see
"django.db.utils.DatabaseError: Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-01804"
cx_oracle is otherwise able to connect to the database properly, another application is also using the same database behind the same httpd proxy and works fine
Q3. Show the directory listing where your Oracle Client libraries are installed (e.g. the Instant Client directory). Is it 64-bit or 32-bit?
Ans. 64-bit
Q4. Show what the PATH environment variable (on Windows) or LD_LIBRARY_PATH (on Linux) is set to?
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/srv/vol/db/oracle/product/18.0.0/dbhome_1/lib:/lib:/usr/lib
PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:/srv/vol/db/oracle/product/18.0.0/dbhome_1/lib:$PATH
Q5. Show any Oracle environment variables set (e.g. ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_BASE).
ORACLE_HOME=/srv/vol/db/oracle/product/18.0.0/dbhome_1
TNS_ADMIN=$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.AL32UTF8
ORACLE_BASE=/srv/vol/db/oracle
CLASSPATH=$ORACLE_HOME/jlib:$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/jlib:$ORACLE_HOME/lib
Any suggestions/help is highly appreciated.
Thank you
I found the problem
So I just removed all the variable declarations from /etc/sysconfig/httpd and checked, the application was still able to access the lib files, so these were now redundant.
Then undid all variable declarations done earlier in .localsh and .localrc files for the os users. To start from scratch, and go step by step to see where it breaks.
So now, cx_Oracle was looking for the lib files in wrong directory
$ORACLE_HOME/client_1/lib
instead of
$ORACLE_HOME/lib
DPI-1047: Cannot locate a 64-bit Oracle Client library: "$ORACLE_HOME/client_1/lib/libclntsh.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". See https://cx-oracle.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_guide/installation.html for help
I did not have any subfolder named "client_1" inside dbhome_1
so I just created a symlink client_1 that points to dbhome_1 (still unsure on this, but at least it works :) )
So, now, this error was gone but now again ORA-01804 was coming. 😑
I had read somewhere that this error can be fixed by adding "libociei.so" but I did not have one on my instance, so I generated it using these commands:-
mkdir -p $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/install/instantclient/light
cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib
make -f ins_rdbms.mk igenliboci
Then I just moved this libociei.so file from
$ORACLE_HOME/instantclient to $ORACLE_HOME/lib
Now there was a new error (so.. progress 😉 ):
ORA-12546 - TNS Permission Denied.
This was easy to solve 😀
I used this command to address this :-
setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect on
And...... That was all! It worked.

Unable to remove module of node-red

I am having issues with node-red and can no longer run any flows, i am not sure what to do anymore.
i get the following error
Imported unrecognised type: mqtt-env-broker
Flows stopped due to missing node types. Check logs for details.
Tried to remove this module from the palette but get the following error, i am also unable to disable it
Failed to remove: node-red-contrib-mqtt-env
Error: Type in use: mqtt-env-broker
Check the log for more information
I have installed the node-red-admin and tried to remove it from command line, so i issued the following command
sudo node-red-admin remove node-red-contrib-mqtt-env/mqtt-env
i get the following error
404: Cannot DELETE /nodes/node-red-contrib-mqtt-env/mqtt-env
this is what i get when i ran the following command
node-red-admin list
Nodes Types State
node-red-contrib-mqtt-env/mqtt-env mqtt-env in error
mqtt-env out
mqtt-env-broker
node-red-dashboard/ui_audio ui_audio enabled
...
...
node-red/mqtt mqtt in error
mqtt out
mqtt-broker
The flows are stopped because they are trying to use a node type you have not got installed - or in this instance, it appears, is hitting an error when it tries to start
The runtime won't let you remove the node because it is referenced in your flow.
To fix this you need to delete any of the nodes referenced by this module from your flow. The name mqtt-env-broker suggests it is a configuration node rather than a regular flow node. Open the Configuration Nodes sidebar panel (from the drop-down menu) and look for any unknown config nodes. Double click on them and delete them. Once you've removed them, hit deploy and things should start working again.
You should then be able to delete the node module from your runtime.

DataStax Opscenter Agent doesn't connect: "Unable to locate cassandra.yaml configuration file"

I have installed Datastax Community Edition v2.0.3 on a Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter machine.
After a vanilla install, I can't connect to the database with OpsCenter because the agent failed to start: it says "0 of 1 agents connected" in the top of the page. I can connect to the database itself using CQLSH. This problem does not occur with v2.0.2.
My datastax_opscenter_agent-stderr.log file contains the following:
2013-12-05 16:16:54 Commons Daemon procrun stderr initialized
Exception in thread "Initialization" clojure.lang.ExceptionInfo: throw+: {:type :bad-permissions, :message "Unable to locate the cassandra.yaml configuration file. There is in fact a cassandra.yamlfile in the C:\Program Files\DataStax Community\apache-cassandra\conf directory, where it is supposed to be. The message above states that it looked in C:\\Program Files\\DataStax Community\\apache-cassandra\\bin\\conf\\cassandra.yaml, though (notice the \bin).
Setting the conf_location option in the opscenter\conf\clusters\local.conf, as per the log's suggestion, results in the same error.
The Windows Firewall has been turned off through all this.
Edit
I've been tinkering a little bit, and now I get the same exception in the log, except the path where it's been looking for cassanda.yaml has changed from
'C:\Program Files\DataStax Community\apache-cassandra\bin\conf\cassandra.yaml'
to
'C:\Program Files\DataStax Community\utils\conf\cassandra.yaml'
I have no idea what I did to change this.
I have tried copying cassandra.yaml to the directory above. This gets rid of the exception in datastax_opscenter_agent-stderr.log, but OpsCenter still says "0 of 1 agents connected". However, the Dashboard is now showing data in the graphs. I am also able to add a keyspace to the schema, but it won't show up after I created it. It is accessible using CLQSH, though. Obviously having cassandra.yaml in two different places is not ideal, either.
I fixed this problem by setting the conf_location property as below:
conf_location = C:\Program Files\DataStax Community\apache-cassandra\conf\cassandra.yaml
Initially I was using quotes around the path, which didn't work. Removing the quotes did the trick.
I had the same problem in Windows 7 x64 while installing DataStax Community Edition v1.2.15. I got it working and then after backup and rollback I used Beyond Compare to identify exactly what change actually fixed this. There is some ambiguity in khaledh's otherwise correct answer and in the equivalent SF question, thus I am providing a more complete answer.
In C:\Program Files\DataStax Community\opscenter\conf\clusters\local.conf, the default contents of ..
[cassandra]
seed_hosts = 127.0.0.1
.. should instead be ..
[cassandra]
seed_hosts = 127.0.0.1
conf_location = C:\\Program Files\\DataStax Community\\apache-cassandra\\conf\\cassandra.yaml
Restart the services and then in OpsCenter if it still says "0 of 1 agents" click on the "Fix now" link. In my case it was not until I clicked on this link that it self-updated and showed "1 of 1" without any prompting or alerts.
I fixed this issue by adding entry in the agent configuration file address.yaml,
Steps,
Login to Agent machine
Stop agent
Add the JAVA_HOME if not already added
Edit ( create if not exists ) address.yaml
( located at /etc/datastax-agent/ if you have installed OpsCenter Agents using package manager )
Add entry as
cassandra_conf:
Start the agent
Restart the opscenter - the new agent wonts show up until you restart opscenter
cassandra_conf: /usr/lib/cassandra-2.0.5/conf/cassandra.yaml
Create the if not exists
( For DataStax version 5.0.1 for both Opscenter and Agent )

Issue resolving initial reference 'NameService'

I have followed the install instructions and gone over them multiple times with a fine comb and I am still unable to determine why I cannot resolve the NameService. I have the omniNames service running, but when I run omniEvents I get the following
omniEvents: [32190]: Warning - failed to resolve initial reference 'NameService'. Exception NO_RESOURCES
I receive this same error message when I attempt to connect within the Sandbox in the IDE, but I am still able to run components and connect them while running in the IDE Sandbox.
I ran nameclt list and received the following output
Cannot resolve the root context.
Have you set up the configuration file properly?
my config file contains the following
InetRef = NameService=corbaname::127.0.0.1
InetRef = EventService=corbaloc::127.0.0.1:11169/omniEvents
I have also verified that the services are being started on the correct ports using netstat.
What am i missing to get connected to the name service?
It appears that your error might be due to a typo in /etc/omniORB.cfg. In your example you use "InetRef" when it should be "InitRef".
Double check the settings and then restart omniNames and omniEvents and try nameclt again. If you get an error such as this:
$ nameclt list
Caught a TRANSIENT exception when trying to validate the type of the
NamingContext. Is the naming service running?
Double check that omniNames is indeed running (i.e. ps -ef | grep omniNames).

Can't get azure web role to run locally using the emulator

I have a web role that I'm trying to run locally using the emulator. I have it working on another computer, but I cannot get it working on a different one, and have gone as far as to reformat it and start from scratch.
When I launch the site from Visual Studio, Chrome shows the following message:
This webpage is not available
The connection to 127.0.0.1 was interrupted.
There is also an error code listed at the bottom:
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.
One interesting thing from the build output are these lines:
Starting process 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Microsoft\Windows Azure Tools\v1.8\Debugger\WindowsAzureDebugger.exe' with arguments '"C:\Program Files\IIS Express\iisexpress.exe" /trace:error /config:"C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\dftmp\Resources\159c7254-b7d0-4076-a4fd-820b00feca5f\temp\temp\RoleTemp\applicationHost.config" /site:"deployment18(27).AzureApp.MyApp.Web_IN_0_Web"'...
Process 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Microsoft\Windows Azure Tools\v1.8\Debugger\WindowsAzureDebugger.exe' exited with exit code 0.
If I run C:\Program Files\IIS Express\iisexpress.exe" /trace:error /config:"C:\Users\brian\AppData\Local\dftmp\Resources\159c7254-b7d0-4076-a4fd-820b00feca5f\temp\temp\RoleTemp\applicationHost.config" /site:"deployment18(27).AzureApp.MyApp.Web_IN_0_Web" from the command line, I get the following message:
The system cannot find the file specified.
Unable to start IIS Express in background.
I have no idea what file it cannot find, but I've verified that the config file I'm passing does in fact exist. Anyone have a clue what's going on here??
While I can not tell you what could be the actual root cause of your problem I can suggest a few ways to troubleshoot it:
Try changing IIS Express to Full IIS and see if it changes the behavior. You can do it by going to your Windows Azure Application project properties and look at "Web" option.
Try running application without debugging it
Launch CSrun at command prompt with /launchDebugger parameter of the /run option to verify that debugger does run without any issue
Try using IE as default browser
Clean your dftemp folder completely for any residual configuration and then launch Azure Emulator separately to verify there are no issues
Procmon "http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645" may help you find the file that is missing...
Hopefully someone stumbles upon this answer with similar symptoms. When removing in role caching the <dataCacheClients> section was removed from . Somehow there was a left over <dataCacheClients> section left in the web.config. Everything and compiled and deployed to the emulator successfully. However, the role would fail to start since applicationHost.config was missing.
The fix was simply remove the unnecessary <dataCacheClients> section from the web.config file.
