We have a SharePoint Online site https://mycompany1.sharepoint.com in prod tenant which is being used by Teams.
We are planning to migrate our on-prem SharePoint 2016 sites to SPO.
Can i able to use a different domain (https://mycompany2.sharepoint.com) within the same subscription for production?
Thanks
Venky
Per my knowledge, you cannot use a different domain within the same subscription for production.

I'm looking at the possibilities of azure ad self service sign up.
https://learn.microsoft.com/nl-nl/azure/active-directory/external-identities/self-service-sign-up-user-flow
I want to share a SharePoint online team site with 1000 people via self-service sign-up. Is this possible?Or does sharepoint online not support this
SharePoint supports self-enroll service.
But it only supports to create a B2B extranet to collaborate with a partner organization that uses Azure Active Directory.
It means that your customers have to be AAD users and you have to configure self-enroll separately for all tenants of AAD customers.
License requirements
Using this feature requires an Azure AD Premium P2 license.
Specialized clouds, such as Azure Germany and Azure China 21Vianet,
are not currently available for use.
See details from Use SharePoint as a business-to-business (B2B) extranet solution and Create a B2B extranet with managed guests
It is not yet supported to configure self-enroll for any customers (from any domains) at one time.
I am a student following an IT course at University and now proceeding to the final year of the course. I will be doing my dissertation based on ERPs and BI within digital health environment. The ERP chosen for this project is Acumatica.
How to check if I am eligible to deploy Acumatica on Microsoft Azure with my current University email? If so, what services and procedures are required in order to deploy the said ERP on Azure? If I am not eligible, would it be possible to suggest alternatives in which I could utilize/deploy Acumatica ERP?
Moreover, I have accessed Microsoft Azure using the University email account and linked it to my personal account in order to access Azure; and now need to verify if with my University email privileges I could deploy Acumatica on Azure.
Also, I have researched on how to deploy it, however, they state a storage account is required which I currently do not have.
I am not sure which kind of Azure services that you but for the deployment with Azure you can get the references with this link https://help-2019r1.acumatica.com/(W(1))/Help?ScreenId=ShowWiki&pageid=6bdba7d6-1b17-4a20-82e6-c66542a4f5dd
I have a requirement to make a Single Sign-On between the SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-Premise. I have read some articles on google which shows the process of synching the On-Premise users to the SharePoint online and then use that user to login in to the SharePOint Online site.
But My Scenario is reverse, I want to sync the SharePoint online user into the SharePoint On-Premise. So that the user which is created in SharePoint Online sync in the Sharepoint On-premise and , that user can use the SharePoint On Premise Site.
Is it possible with the same process of Synch for the SharePoint Online and SharePoint On Premise? is it work reverse way too? or I need to do some other thing for that ?
Please advise?
Microsoft supports different types of SharePoint Server 2013 hybrid environments and the hybrid solutions. You can refer below link for the supported Hybrid Topology by SharePoint:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/dn607308.aspx
Using SharePoint Hybrid One-way Inbound Topology, you can setup connection requests from SharePoint Online to SharePoint On-Premise, But again it has some limitation and you can use this for below scenario only:
Inbound hybrid search (displaying search results from SharePoint Server 2013 in Office 365)
Hybrid Business Connectivity Services
Hybrid Duet Enterprise Online for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP
If you want to use SharePoint Online user as a logon credential for SharePoint On-Premise, then it's not supported yet.
For Inbound topology you will have to setup reverse proxy device, which will authenticate SharePoint Online requests to SharePoint On-Premise, but again for the authentication it uses federated users (Intranet User). You can refer to below links to get more familiar with concept and configuration of Hybrid Technology:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn607304.aspx
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/library/dn607311.aspx#syncuserprofiles
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/library/dn607316.aspx
Hope these details will help you to understand that we can not use SharePoint Online user in SharePoint On-Premise environment.
Hie everyone,
Can anyone tell me how i can create an application for SharePoint online please?
I'm using Azure AD and there is no option(1) for sharepoint online, i only see the graph application for the unified API.
Thanks a lot
(1) 2 weeks ago there were an app called Offfice365 Sharepoint, but it disappeared
Based on the image it looks like you don't have SharePoint enabled for the account that was used to login to the Azure Portal. You need to have an active license for SharePoint to be able to register an application in the Azure Portal that accesses SharePoint data.
I know this is an old question but I am going to try answer it. With Visual Studio 2015 you can create to types of SharePoint Add-ins, SharePoint Hosted and Provider Hosted. In order to create a Provider Hosted Add-in that you want to host on Azure you can use the Publish feature in Visual Studio. Right click the Web Project and Select Publish. When creating the Publishing Profile select the target for Microsoft Azure App Service. From there you will be ask to provide the information for your Azure account and can create Resource Groups and App services that will host your Provided Hosted Add-in in Azure.
I’m currently testing the Microsoft Azure and SharePoint 2013 ability.
In our office, we have an Office 365 account, and I have created a Azure 30-days trial subscription. I have connected those two, so our Office 365 users are visible in Azure AD.
We need to install a virtual server with SharePoint installed on it, with access to a SQL server in Azure as well.
Is it possible to use the Azure AD as authentication for SharePoint users?
If possible, we would like to avoid installing an On-premises AD in Azure. We simply need the authentication for our SharePoint users, so we can keep everything in the cloud, without Site to site VPN to our in house AD.
I am aware, that the virtual machine in Azure with Sharepoint on it, will run in a Workgroup, but I have a hard time figuring out, how I can access the Azure AD to lookup users. I don’t know if this is possible.
Best regards
