How can I define global links in Rust documentation? - rust

It seems that if you define a link in an item's doc comment, it is evidently only defined for that particular item. As an example:
/// This is some example [documentation]
///
/// [documentation]: https://www.rust-lang.org/learn
If I try to use [documentation] in the doc comments for another item, it says that the link is unresolved. Is there an easy way to define links globally, or at least within the same file such that they can be used in the doc comments for multiple items? This seems like something that should be common and easy, but I could find no information about it, and this was no help either. Having to redefine the links in every item's doc comments would be a lot of unwanted duplication.

Add XML documentation for named elements in ValueTuple

With ValueTuple in C# 7, it is now possible to write methods and properties that return or consume composite objects without explicitly declaring a type. These named tuples can however be potentially confusing when no documentation is provided.
As the primary and probably most convenient way of documenting libraries is by using XML documentation, is there any way using XML documentation to provide a description of the variables in a named tuple?
I know the obvious solution is to declare a type and document it accordingly. However, granted that due to some 'reasons' that cannot be done, is it possible to XML document the data members in a ValueTuple?
NB: A similar question was asked before the advent of the ValueTuple.
C# has no special syntax for documenting named elements of a tuple, you will have to use the normal <returns> and <param> elements and explain in words what each named element contains.
Though there is a proposal for adding this capability to the language.

Filtering GetEntries by another Entry ID's existence within array of links attribute

I have a content type post where the entries have a categories attribute, which is an Array of Links (to a category content type).
I want to fetch all posts that have been tagged with a certain category. That is, Post entries where fields.categories[any link sys.id] = MyCategoryId.
I can only find an example only where the reference field is a singleton, not an array.
Would love any help, thanks!
You could specify your query like this:
/spaces/YOURSPACEID/entries?content_type=CONTENTTYPEID&fields.categories.sys.id=SOMEID
Notice that a content type restriction is necessary as we are filtering on a field property.
Also note that this only works because we're filtering on a system property directly accessible from the actual entry returned. If you wanted to filter on another property of the Category content type, for example title or description that is not currently supported.
Here's also a link to the official documentation including examples and explanations for the search api: https://www.contentful.com/developers/docs/references/content-delivery-api/#/reference/search-parameters/query-entries

drupal search for a specific content type along with its node type for comments

I have a content type called 'ticket'; its Node type for comments is 'interaction'.
I want a search interface which searches through only these two (ticket,interaction) content-types; and output the node-link/title
Also, even though matches are found in interactions, i should be displaying the respective ticket node-link/title. (since interaction are actually the comments for the ticket node)
Can anybody please help me achieve this?
Thanks!
You should try using the Views module in conjunction with the core search module. You can create a view, filter the content type to ticket, and then add an exposed "Search: Search Terms" filter to your view.
Of course you could also write a quick custom module and do your own query.

Why the OnWorkflowItemChanged is different between List and document library?

I am doing a workflow for a document library. I put a OnWorkflowItemChanged, and I want to get the value of the column which is changed. I use the workflowProperties.Item["name"] and use the afterProperties. But when I use the workflowProperties.Item["column name"], I still got the original value. When I use the afterProperties, it's NULL.
Then I make another workflow that is the same as above for a list. I can use the workflowProperties.Item["column name"] to get the new value in OnWorkflowItemChanged.
Has anyone come across this problem before? Can you give me some help?
The question seems to mix up Item with ExtendedProperties. As to why a difference is seen on a List/Document Lib, it might have something to do with versionining or perhaps the internal serialization is different. Anyway, some of my experience is outline below. I hope it may be of use:
Use the GUID (as a Guid object, not a string) to access the Before / After ExtendedProperties field. Using the Display Name in the ExtendedProperties will not work. The documentation on it is wrong. You can use SPList.Fields to go from Display Name to Column ID (Guid).
I bind all "Before" to MyWhatever_PreviousProperties and all "After" to MyWhatever_Properties, only accessing MyWhatever_[Previous]Properties after the appropriate event(s)).

Change document library "Type" after it has been created from list definition

When beginning to develop against SharePoint I did not fully understand all the ins and outs initially. I created a list definition (for a document library) and associated various custom actions to it. Unfortunately, I used the following for the list definition itself:
<ListTemplate...
...
Type="101"
...
And to register the CustomActions against the list:
<CustomAction...
...
RegistrationType="List"
RegistrationId="101"
...
Of course, this means that the custom actions are visible for all document libraries where the feature is activated which is undesirable behaviour. Also, there are lots of these document libraries that have been created from the above list definition in production.
What is the best way to fix this problem? My assumption is that I somehow need to change the "Type" attribute of the already existing lists, but I do not know how to do that. Can it be done via some direct SQL manipulation perhaps? Or is there a better way?
Note: I can see that the AllLists table has a column tp_ServerTemplate, is that the right thing to change?
Modifying the SharePoint database is completely unsupported by Microsoft. Please do not do this on production!
Another option is to create a content type and associate the custom action with that. You may need to write a simple console application to iterate through your existing document libraries and add the content type so it is available for use. The existing documents that you'd like the custom action to apply to would need their content types changed as well.
From some quick initial testing it does look like changing the AllLists table does the trick.
So steps to resolve:
1) Change List Definition Type attribute to be a unique value (for example 11000)
2) Change the CustomAction RegistrationId attributes to be the same (11000)
3) Update the tp_servertemplate column in the AllLists table to be the new template Type (11000) for all the relevant lists.
