I need to add a new base currency (SEK) into our NetSuite system.
I'm able to find those that are already configured as USD, Euro, Canadian Dolar..but I can't find where to add a new base currency.
Thanks in advance!
Go to the currencies page and press the "New" button.
Type currencies in the global search and select Page: Currencies from the list that comes up so you can review the current ones before adding another. As well on this page click on the ? Help button and review the topic that comes up (Currency Management) and it's sub topics.
If the page mentioned in the previous paragraph doesn't come up or the New button doesn't appear then the role/account you are logged into doesn't have the permissions required to add new currencies.
I have created the Outlook Web Add-in project and trying th create the dropdown menu by following the link under
https://github.com/officedev/outlook-add-in-command-demo
It seems that dropdown menu just take static list. What i want to do is i have webservices which is returning some destination and link of that destionation . I want to display the list of all those destination under the dropdown and by clicking one of it, it opens the link into task pane.
Any tips ? how to display from webservice in dropdown menu.
It is not currently possible to dynamically populate the dropdowns, your best bet would be to have a single taskpane action, then render a selector page that dynamically shows the available options, then navigate to the page associated with that option. I do not have access to SPD.
I only have access to creating lists and libraries from the site settings menu
My requirement is to
1. Create folders under a document library - Acheived
2.Create a list with columns
a. Name
b. folder name
c. primary contact
of the above folder naem should be looking up to the Document Library
when A User clicks on the folder name, it should redirect to the respective folder.
My Problem : Clicking the folder name opens a pop up window with options to edit the item
instead of redirecting the user to the folder
I setup this up the same way in SharePoint 2013. Upon clicking on the folder name in the list it opened the dialog box with options to edit the item which is By Design. But, I also had an option on the Ribbon Bar in the dialog box to "Open" the folder directly.
There might be a way to create a Hyperlink column in the list and create a workflow to update the column with the actual URL of the folder location which would resolve your issue but since you do not have access to SharePoint Designer this will not be an option.

I'm trying to make a custom list for inquiries, where users will fill in some information such as "Name", "Reason" etc. When they've finished filling in the information and added the item, the administrator will then go through the item, and fill in some new columns that the user hasn't been able to fill in.
I hope you understand me, otherwise you're more than welcome to ask questions!
With SharePoint designer 2007, you can use the SPSecurityTrimmedControl who enable you to show/hide form field (or site action...).
Syntax :
<SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl PermissionsString="ManageLists" runat="server">
WHAT_YOU_WANT_TO_HIDE_HERE
</SharePoint:SPSecurityTrimmedControl>
For the PermissionsString, all values HERE
You'll need to use SharePoint Designer. You will create custom new and edit forms. This way when the user fills in the new form, only certain fields will appear. Then when the administrator edits the item using the edit form, they will have access to more fields.
Please see this link for more information.
Try making a copy of the form you wish to edit by copying and pasting to the same folder. Then click on the web part for the form and the code above will highlight . Look for tags IsVisible and change it from "true" to "false". This will hide the default form. Do not delete the original form.
Click on the web part in the design view then press your right arrow. This will move the cursor to right after the web part but still within the web part zone. Go to the Insert menu, select SharePoint Controls then Custom List form. A small dialog window will appear, select the list name from the first drop down, then select the content type from the second drop down. Finally select which form you want to insert, New, Edit or Display. Click OK. The new form will be displayed under the default form, and you will then see all of the fields in order and you can add or remove as you like.
If one did not want to edit the pages, couldn't one use Jquery to hide the fields? I have done this with SPservices. to check the user credentials if you will and then if matched display the hidden fields... all this is done from a web part...just a thought...I actually learned something great today.. great replies.
How do I add an item in a column as a link in a list in Sharepoint Server 2010?
What is the type of column which is showing link to another document?
Let me see if i understand you correctly.
You have seen the browse for document link in publishing sites, and you want this functionality in your standard list.
Unfortuately you cannot do this, the standard data types are:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-sharepoint-services-help/create-a-site-column-HA010157769.aspx
So you are left with just plain old Hyperlink, which doesn't have the browse for document box.
If you try to create a site column with the datatype Publishing Hyperlink, and add it to your list, you should get an error message when you try to browse
"Cannot complete action"
You can add Calculated Value column in the list, and specify the formula for the column which will redirect you to the desired location.
You can do this with jQuery by parsing the link from the title with link or edit button. But also, if you want a non client side solution, there is a good article here http://www.sharepoint911.com/blogs/jennifer/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=70 on how to add a column and using a workflow fill that column with a "quick link" that the user can provide to people wanting to link to there document. It is a general approach that I think you can see could be adapted to various needs.
For a head start on a jQuery solution check out http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointcustomization/thread/ebda8a32-a6cc-49fa-b7e4-81f762b26266/
In order to link document with list item, you can create "Hyperlink with formatting and constraints for publishing" site column and add it to any list.
If you need to browse and upload multiple files per list item, you can use 3rd party add-ons like Sparqube Document column.
