I was searching for solution one by another and still have some problems, i am open to change even a whole schema, but i have time till weekend. If you have new solution show me, if i did something wrong please tell me.
This is where it happens
Also earlier i had problem with just initializing variable and puting there value from excel, but now i guess i am on right way. Earlier program told me that i am setting string to my int variable.
Yep, so i did that but still i receive:
InvalidTemplate. Unable to process template language expressions in
action 'var_name' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template
language function 'int' was invoked with a parameter that is not
valid. The value cannot be converted to the target type.'.
I don't know what it meens and what to do, what i know is that i can still see and show what i got from my excel, also in excel file every cell i get is set to be Integer.
Can someone help me? I can show You more if its necessary.
I changed type of cells to intiger in my excel, also i made this function, and still none. Help, i do not have time and i worked on it for too long.
I could REALLY use your help with this one.
I'm trying to make a sort-of voice command operated menu for a toddler's learning app and kivy is giving me a headache
all of my screens are correctly defined and load as intended if the buttons are pressed but the voice commands, even though they register correctly and carry over their variables as intended they don't seem to have the desired effect when asked to act upon ScreenManager when the if statement is fulfilled
def on_enter(self):
....
Command.start()
Command.introMenu()
......
if Command.sel == "shapes":
ScreenManager().switch_to = "shapes"
elif Command.sel == "colours":
ScreenManager().switch_to = "colours"
......
else:
pass
the variable Command.sel is captured from a dependency, defined as a string and carried correctly as far as I can tell from the variables view in debugging
yet even though everything seems to be in order (in fact no error messages appear at all) the desired screen is not called when the if condition is met
what am I doing wrong here???
full code here
(please ignore the Greek bits in the code... it's just strings, imagine it's any other language for that matter...)
thank you!
issue resolved
correct command was
self.parent.current = "your_screen_name"

I have a very simple if statement that is looking to see if $_FILES[] is set and if so create a variable. Here it is:
if(isset($_FILES['photo']['name'])){$image="yes";}
So if it finds the files is in fact set, give $image the value of yes. At the moment, regardless of if its set or not, the value is being passed to $image. Its driving me nuts. Doesnt matter if I drop the ['name'] part even. Ive been doing every incarnation of the if statement I can think of to make it behave but Im at a loss.
It turns out that checking to see if $_files isset will return a value in that even with no file being uploaded the array will contain information. If you were to do var_dump on $files['photos']['name'] you will see that the value for that bit of information is 0 and therefore when checking to see if its set you will get a positive response. This is how I overcame my problem:
$foo =$_FILES['photo']['name'];
$foopoo = $foo[0];
if (strlen($foopoo)>2){$image= "yes";}
I have a house with rooms that are defined with connections for when you can go from one room to another eg.
connection(garage,sidehall).
connection(sidehall,kitchen).
connection(kitchen,diningroom).
canget(X,Y):-connection(X,Y).
canget(X,Y):-connection(X,_),
write('player goes from '),write(X),write(' to '),write(Y),nl,
canget(_,Y).
Im trying to figure out how make it so the player can only get from one room to another when they have a specific item, such as you can only be in the kitchen when items = gloves.
canget(X,Y,Item):-connection(X,Y,Item),canbein(Y,Item).
canget(X,Y,Item):-connection(X,Somewhere,Item),canbein(Somewhere,Item),canget(Somewhere,Y,Item).
tried defining canbein with:
canbein(kitchen):- item(sword).
canbein(sidehall):- item(hat).
but that doesnt work!
Have defined my items as such, not sure if this is right either:
item(gloves,sword,helm,cheese).
Basically, have i declared my item values correctly?
How can i use the specific item value to make canget x to y false?
Thank you!
Well, I see a few problems with your code. Firstly, you call canbein with two arguments (from canget predicate). However, canbein is defined as single-argument predicate. Therefore, the call always fails as no canbein/2 predicate exists.
I suggest the following modification:
canbein(kitchen, sword).
canbein(sidehall, hat).
Than, the item definition is not required. Let's think about what happens during the unification of
canget(X,Y,Item) :- connection(X,Y,Item), canbein(Y,Item).
Let's assume the following setting X=sidehall, Y=kitchen, Item==sword. This predicate should be OK. Assuming the conection predicate is OK, prolog tries to find canbein(Y, Item) i.e. canbein(kitchen, sword) and it succeeds.
On the contrary, if the Item is different the unification fails, hence it works as expected.
The second problem is the item predicate. By your definition, it expects 4 arguments. That's nonsense, of course. You should declare it like
item(gloves).
item(sword).
item(helm).
item(cheese).
However, I don't think this predicate is necessary at all. Just to be clear, try to call item(X) and obtain all results (the four declared). Try it with the prior definition - what should you even ask for?
I hope it helps :)
I'm creating a macro that opens a file that everyone has on their computer and in order to do so must know the person's username / work ID.
To get the person's work ID I've tried using the following:
sso = IIf(InStr(Application.OperatingSystem, "Windows") = 1, Environ("UserName"), _
'MacScript("(user name as string)"))
Running this on windows returns an error because of the Macscript (I think) and I'd assume the same would happen vice versa, even though the error part of the IIF is never actually accessed I'm guessing seeing as the whole line is executed this is why there is a problem, thus On Error Resume Next would not really help here.
I know this can be easily overcome by just using an if and else statement but I just want to know if I'm right / why this problem occurs and if there are any other more sophisticated ways of achieving what I want.
Thanks
The IIF function evaluates both the true and false parts, or rather it attempts to do so. There is no short-circuit. Your assumption about why it's failing (and also that you can't use an OERN) is correct. You may take a look at conditional compilation logic, if certain parts of your code will not compile on Windows (or Mac, respectively).
