I have a Sharepoint Site which saves all files that i upload, or just edited, very slowly. This happens every time i want to save something. Additionally Excel files are only saved if i close all other excel files, otherwise it doesn't save them at all. This bug also occures if i work on files by myself, not only when i work with others.
I already did some resarch by myself, but couldnt find anything similar to my problem. This seems to be very specific.
Did anyone else have this issue?
Regards
Viktor

I recently started making music using GarageBand's MIDI software. I've made it up to a certain point, where losing all my progress would be disastrous.
Here's the issue I have:
When I go to File > Save/Save As or just cmd+S or cmd+shift+S, or Share > Export Song to Disk, instead of functioning and saving the file (I checked in Finder; last time I exited the app without saving due to this issue, the untitled garageband file disappeared) properly onto the app, it would either do nothing or give me the rainbow wheel of death for 10-20 seconds and then proceed to not function.
I've searched online for answers to this, and there were several (2) users I found that had the same problem. Their post either had no answer or the answer was unintuitive (such as always using a different, more complicated method to save, like messing around with the garageband files themselves everytime to save).
I'm looking for an answer to this issue that would result in slightly more convenient, one-time edits to the app / any software beneath that would fix this issue, if there are any. However, if the community has any alternate way to save the file right now, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also:
Since I'd assume most of the solutions would involve closing the app and then making edits, then reinstalling it, please tell me if I could just copy the notes (not the tracks) onto a text document and paste it into the new file after. I would prefer to save my music.
Try this . . .
First QUIT Garageband (yes you will lose unsaved work).
Find the Garageband folder where all the .BAND files are saved. Usually it is in Users -> Username -> Music -> Garageband.
Move older .band files into another folder (EG: "Garageband OLD")
Then start a new project (or open a project still in the Garageband folder).
Save and Save-As should now work.
It seems there is some sort of file limit for the Garageband folder. In my case the file limit is either 170 .band files or about 125GB.
I am currently using Garageband 10.3.5 on High Sierra.
I'm currently working on my data using Ms.Excel.
But suddenly the file that I'm working in was broken. when I tried to open it again I get error where it contain "ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ" (See Picture).
Screenshoot Corrupted Excel File
The data was not really big, it's only arround 130KB. Besides, Autorecovery Mode was Turned On every 10 minutes. But I don't know How To use it.
I tried to solve the problem many times using below method:
First, I tried to check the "Ignore .... " in Excel Option.
Second, I tried Open and Repair the file, but still can't open it.
Third, I tried to use a third party, Using 2 Software (Stellar Phoenix Excel Repair And Recovery Tools For Excel). but Both not Working.
So I wonder if anyone can help me to get my data back? is there any way to recover the file? or is there a way to get the data within the file?
Thank you for all the suggestion you gave me, From the last comment I tried to get and extract the data using Programmer editor and using VBA, but both not give a good result, basically when you tried to extract the data when the file is corrupted it only get a unique character.
So here is my solution, since i'm using windows, I tried to Reinstall my Ms.Office and recover my Excel file on mac, and boom the magic worked.
Once again, thanks for your help.
I have a 20 excel files with Automation written in VBA where the workflow is similar but there is some customizations in each of the files. I would like to have 20 files, each file per task, but I would like to put all macros into one file, with all the customizations. This will simplify fixing/changing the automation.
I want to have basically one file GlobalMacros.xls somewhere in a shared drive which contains all the modules that do not contain customizations, and only have references to it in the proper files.
Personal.xls is not an answer as I do not want users/team members to feel the changes at all.
Please tell me if there is a solution and what are downsides.
Solution 1:
My solution is to make the module in GlobalMacro.xls and then add just a reference to the module in each file. The downside is it could slow down the execution of the macros because the GlobalMacros.xls will be opened and closed in the background each time any module is called out. Also is it possible for several users using these macros at the same time?
Has anyone got any better solutions? Maybe someone had a similar problem in the past.
I'll go into a bit more detail about how to use XLAM files properly.
In a network environment, you will want to keep a local copy of the XLAM where you make changes and updates, and once all glitches are worked out, you then copy it to the server where everyone else accesses it. You will want to also make the server copy read-only, which must be reset each time you copy the file to the server. If you dont make it read-only, you will not be able to copy the updated file to the server while anyone has Excel currently open.
In addition, when the users add the Add-On to their Excel, they will be prompted to copy the XLAM file to their local computer, to which they should reply No, as they want to be able to run off the server copy so they can get your updates. I have found that most people instinctively think they should answer Yes to that question.
If they end up answering Yes, then the only way to fix it is to edit thier registry and remove the reference, and then re-add the Add-On.
I had a text file to save all my important credentials, links and notes. Today when i was working on it, all of a sudden notepad++ crashed. when i reopened np++ the file was empty with zero bytes. I am so stuck now as it has all my credentials.
Is there a way to recover this?
Many thanks
Well you need to recover the file from your latest backup, but I'm guessing that because your asking this question, you don't have one?
If that's the case, then your pretty limited in what you can do. If you have saving of previous versions turned on in Windows you may be able to load an older version by right clicking on the file, go to properties and look at previous versions.
However, more than likely you are going to have to accept that it is gone, learn your lesson and start doing regular backups.
I have one excel sheet but it's not opening, it showing one error message that the file extension is corrupt.
Please kindly go through the screen shots and suggest me some solution
This indeed means the file is corrupted. You still have some hope to open the file. If you have LibreOffice installed, this has worked for me in the past (then just export it as a doc and try opening it again). If you don't have it, you can also try uploading it to google documents and seeing if you can rescue the file that way.
Your file must be corrupt. It happens when not downloaded completely or uncomplete transfer of data.
