VSCode Theme wont publish to Azure - azure

Im trying to publish a VSCode theme to Azure. When I use the command:
vsce package
I get the error:
WARNING A 'repository' field is missing from the 'package.json' manifest file.
Do you want to continue? [y/N] y
WARNING LICENSE.md, LICENSE.txt or LICENSE not found
Do you want to continue? [y/N] y.
However, I have a repository field in my package.json file, I also have a License.md file.
When I attempt to use the command:
vsce publish
I get the errors mentioned above, as well as:
WARNING A 'repository' field is missing from the 'package.json' manifest file.
Do you want to continue? [y/N] y
WARNING LICENSE.md, LICENSE.txt or LICENSE not found
Do you want to continue? [y/N] y
ERROR Missing publisher name. Learn more: https://code.visualstudio.com/api/working-with-extensions/publishing-extension#publishing-extensions.
However, I have a publisher name in my package.json file. I seem to be getting errors for requirement I have already met?

The issue was due to me not having a publisher name on azure. Make sure to create a publisher name on https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/manage/. As for the errors regarding liscence.md and repository field, I used VSCodes built-in terminal instead of my local one. The errors were resolved. The file directory path was correct, not sure why my local terminal didnt work properly. Ill leave this post up incase anyone has this problem in the future.

Why is my Node.js package missing the main file when installed globally?

This feels like an embarrassing question to ask but having recently published a Node package to the NPM registry, I now find it doesn't work.
The issue seems to be that my main file, ./src/index.js, isn't being included in the global install.
I know this because when I call the package from the command line it
runs ./bin/cli.js in the package as expected, but then throws:
Error: Cannot find module '../src/index.js'
Require stack:
- /usr/lib/node_modules/diffcraft/bin/cli.js
The error even references the line in ./bin/cli.js where the index
file is required, so that's definitely where the problem is.
I also know this because I checked the folder where the module is
installed globally and while the bin folder is there, the src
folder isn't. So the main code for my package just isn't there.
After discovering this, I even patched package.json to ensure that ./src/index.js was explicitly whitelisted in the files array. I hadn't done this before as NPM guidance states that whichever file is listed under main is also automatically whitelisted. But even including the file in files explicitly hasn't worked.
For reference, I don't have an .npmignore file.
I've got a horrible feeling I'm missing something simple and basic... Any ideas why my main file might be being skipped?
The package is diffcraft.
It works if you omit the ./ in front of the files (tested with npm 6.14.4 on Windows):
"files": [
"bin/cli.js",
"src/index.js"
],
This might be a bug in npm.
You can check this without publishing by running npm pack and checking the archive file.
Alternative is using an .npmignore file.

Vue-repo "Module build failed: Error: No ESLint configuration found"

My Vue project is running fine locally, but when upload it to github repo, download it back from there and npm install, then npm run dev, it throws error Module build failed: Error: No ESLint configuration found.
When I unzip my downloaded repo-files, there's no .eslintrc etc. files that are present when I'm uploading my project, and to my knowledge that is one reason causing this ESLint problem.
Here's the very basic vue init webpack HelloWorld.vue uploaded to my test-repo without any modifications to show how it fails to build after downloading.
Link to my test repo to reproduce the error: https://github.com/tuuchen/vue-movie-app
How can I fix this issue with eslint?
EDIT: I made a fresh project without eslint, and when downloading it from my git repo, It's throwing Failed to compile error, asset optimization[copy-webpack-plugin] WARNING - unable to locate '<path>\myvueapp\static'
EDIT 2: Also .postcssrc is missing when initiating npm install
EDIT 3: Problem solved. I was using webpack for creating my vue project, and it caused all kinds of issues when downloading the project back from git repo. npm install -g #vue/cli did a project that worked without issues.
Sorry for being such a noob.
This issue came up as I created a new project by copying from another project on my Mac. However, the hidden files were not copied!
Solution
The issue got resolved by having these hidden files as well in the new project:
.babelrc,
.editorconfig
.eslintignore
.eslintrc.js
.postcssrc.js
There are other solutions that many have proposed in this Vue Issue that you can refer to if this does not solve your problem.
In my case, I just delete the folder Node.Js and try reinstall node modules using yarn/npm.
if it still did not work, you can try to add file .eslintignore on the root folder and add there the path to the folder we want to omit.
For example, in this scenario, .build/test.js is the desired file to allowlist. Because all dot-folders and their children are ignored by default, .build must first be allowlisted so that eslint becomes aware of its children. Then, .build/test.js must be explicitly allowlisted, while the rest of the content is denylisted. This is done with the following .eslintignore file:
# Allowlist 'test.js' in the '.build' folder
# But do not allow anything else in the '.build' folder to be linted
!.build
.build/*
!.build/test.js

Activating extension `ms-vscode.wordcount` failed: Cannot find module 'd:/VSCode/vscode-wordcount/out/extension'

I try to build and debug an extension in Code.
I downloaded the sample of word-count from https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-wordcount.
When I clicked F5, ./out folder was not generated and I saw failure: Activating extension ms-vscode.wordcount failed: Cannot find module 'd:/VSCode/vscode-wordcount/out/extension'.
I found the post
https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode-go/issues/35
and I think this was because I failed to build the extension.
And I checked my path that node and npm were both set.
I found there were 2 possible issues.
I could not find .\node_modules folder in my extension folder. The folder structure is like
.vscode\
-- launch.json
-- settings.json
-- tasks.json
image\
test\
typings\
-- vscode-typings.d.ts
extension.ts
package.json
tsconfig.json
My node version is v0.12.2.
Could you give me some hints how to investigate the issue?
You probably downloaded directly from GitHub.
You will need to run npm install in your project's folder in order to create the node_modules directory and add the required dependencies.
If you simply want to install the extension to use it, you will also need to:
Move the folder to the correct place
npm install
OR
Install the built version directly from the Visual Studio Marketplace through the command pallet.

Error with network connectivity when install Phonegap

I'm trying to install phonegap with command:
npm install -g phonegap.
I get the following error:
Verify that your .npmrc file does not contain any unnecessary configuration. An error like the one you have above states that you are unable to connect with the npm registry. Sometimes that requires configuring a proxy, other times your configuration is just incorrect. Look inside the .npmrc file (which is contained within your home directory -- C:\Users\nir) and verify the configuration settings are correct. Delete any incorrect ones (proxy settings that are invalid, etc), or just rename the file and test it out.
Seems like you have problems with connection.
I've it installed same way right now.

Adding dependencies from a single file, without composer.json

I am struggling around a wrong usage of composer, for sure.
I set up this repository: https://github.com/alle/assets-merger
I forked the project and was just trying to make it a kohana-module, including all the dependencies.
As for it would need the YUI comporess JAR, I was trying to make just that JARfile as a dependency, and I ended to declare it in the composer.json file (please, look at this).
Once I need to add my new package to a project I add it in the require section as follows:
...
"alle/assets-merger": "dev-master",
...
But the (latest) composer update command says:
Loading composer repositories with package information
Updating dependencies (including require-dev)
Your requirements could not be resolved to an installable set of packages.
Problem 1
- Installation request for alle/assets-merger dev-develop -> satisfiable by alle/assets-merger[dev-develop].
- alle/assets-merger dev-develop requires yui/yuicompressor 2.4.8 -> no matching package found.
Potential causes:
- A typo in the package name
- The package is not available in a stable-enough version according to your minimum-stability setting see <https://groups.google.com/d/topic/composer-dev/_g3ASeIFlrc/discussion> for more details.
And my story ends here.
How should I configure my composer.json in the https://github.com/alle/assets-merger repository, in order to include it as a fully satisfied kohana-module in other projects?
Some things I notice in your composer.json.
There is a version of that CSS minify available on Packagist which says it is just a copy of the original Goole-Code hosted files, but with Composer: natxet/cssmin. It is version 3.0.2, but I think that shouldn't make a difference.
mrclay/minify is included twice in the packages with the same version. It also is available on Packagist. You will probably already use that (version 2.2.0 is registered, and because you didn't turn of Packagist access, it will be generally available for install unless a version requirement or conflict prevents it).
You are trying to download a JAR file (which is a java executable without and PHP), but try to get PHP classmaps out of it. That will fail for sure.
You did miss the big note in the Composer documentation saying that Composer cannot resolve repositories mentioned in sub packages, only in the root package. That means that whatever you mention in your alle/asset-merger package will not be used if you use that package anywhere else. You'd have to duplicate these repositories in every package in addition to adding the package name itself as "required".
What this means is that you probably avoided missing mrclay/minify because it is available on Packagist, you might as well have added the cssmin by accident, but you definitly did not add YUICompressor.
But you shouldn't add this in the first place, because it is no PHP software. You can however add post-install commands to your projects. All your Composer integration does is download the JAR file. You can do that with a post-install or post-update command. See the documentation here.
