Excel power view is not working on my computer

When i try to create a power view report it just generates the following image:
Only after i close and re-open the excel i get the power View tab, but this image is still there and the data i want to visualize is not. Does anyone knows how to fix this issue?
i found only 1 related page on the net but this solution does not make a lot of sense, and anyway it only works with 2 computers:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_excel-mso_winother-mso_2013_release/excel-powerview-error-image/28564661-ebc1-426c-8f56-e6bb96d14d4a
Any help will be highly appreciated!!
Best regards,
Mihail
For anyone who might need this in the future.
You need to install Silverlight on your computer: https://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/Get-Started/Install/Default
If issue is till not fixed, install the enable controls from here: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Registry-keys-to-reenable-7cd9f723
Now it should work!
Best regards,
Mihail
The same happened to me in Excel from MS Office Professional Plus 2016.
I downloaded the EnableControls pack and executed EnableSilverLight.reg.
Then I was able to click the Power View button and create a "Power View1" tab, but instead of Power View panes I get only that same image.
But then I found, by this (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/powerview-image-error-in-office-365-online/81baa2c5-1c9c-4d36-b424-60ad59696005) answer in Microsoft Community, that I didn't had SilverLight installed.
After installing by Mihail's link (item 1) it worked fine!

3rd party Program focus

thanks for your amazing support!
Now i have again a question. To get access to some raw datas (i'm working in a call center) we using a website to get an CSV/xls file from our SQL Database (the IT Department doesnt allow me to get direct access to the SQL database).
For an automatic update of my sheet i use an shell command to trigger chrome with the right parameters in the link (chrome starts the download).
Everything works fine but, when i trigger Chrome per shell, i have to minimize chrome again (otherwise you can't see the Excel screen). So i can't find an command to minimize external windows so i'm using shell to minimize all, after that i maximize excel again, works great, but after excel has done the updates, it should activate "VLC Media Player", i tried to use AppActivate for that, but its just blikink orange in the taskbar and dont get focus.
Can you help me?
I can share you the code but it's really just the AppActivate() line that interest you :)
Thanks again!

NirCmd from NirSoft is what you need.

Datastax DevCenter Dialog Window Size Issue

I'm trying to use Datastax Devcenter for the first time. Unfortunately, no matter what I set my screen size to I am unable to see all of the text fields in the connection dialog window (see highlighted area in screenshot). It seems there are 4 "hidden" fields below the "Connection name" text field. I am unable to scroll to see them or tab into them to force them to scroll into view, nor is the dialog window resizable.
Would someone who is able to see them be kind enough to tell me what those "hidden" fields are?
Create new connection dialog
I've attached a screenshot of the dialog. Unfortunately without entering at least a host I'm not sure you'll be able to get over this step. Please see the 2nd part for a possible workaround.
Could you please tell me:
what os are you using?
what's the screen resolution?
Workaround
There might be a workaround for this issue, until it is fixed.
In your home directory, look for a file .devcenter/connections/connectionList.xml.
If it's missing create an empty one.
Add a connection details in the form described in this Gist
If you want to provide multiple hosts you can have multiple <hosts>NODE IP</hosts> elements.

Embed Powerpoint in web page without conversion as per Confluence

Confluence automatically shows Powerpoint slideshows without any conversion you just use a built in one line macro and it shows up embedded in the page using a Flash solution.
I've tried searching extensively but everywhere tells me I need to convert to some other format or host on Google Docs or Youtube etc.
Can someone suggest to me another Flash based solution where I don't need to convert from PPT first or tell me which one Confluence uses (I have also tried to find this myself)?
It's not feasible to view or create a slideshow of the PowerPoint slides on a web page without converting them to images. You can convert the slides to the required image format. The output format will depend upon your particular scenario i.e. whether you want to show high quality and scalable output or you want to show low quality and low size output. You may then create a slide show from those images even using JavaScript.
Find information about embedding a PowerPoint slide at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Embedding+PowerPoint+Presentations+in+a+Page
The View File macro may be the one you're looking for:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/View+File+Macro
{viewfile:ExampleFileName.ppt}
The results are much better if you export to PDF from PowerPoint then use the Confluence macro for PDF.
This tool turns confluence into powerpoint https://bigpresentation.bigquant.com/ , conflucne + reveal js.

An automated way to load multiple images into PowerPoint on different pages?

I need to load about 60 images, each on a different page, in to PowerPoint.
Does anyone know of an "automated" way to do this. I don't want to go through slide by slide, and have to click "load image" on each one.
If it was a one-time thing, I wouldn't worry about it, but we're summarizing results from some analysis that is ongoing and we'll have to do it many times.
Thanks.
edit: After brief discussion with co-worker, it seems that "insert -> photo album" does this easily.
From PPTools: Insert -> Photo Album works well in PPT 2007. There are a few Problems in older Versions, because the images are linked, not embedded if you do not choose the right settings.
The site mentioned above also features a macro for doing this.
There are a couple of open source programs, both hosted on sourceforge.net, which were developed for just the situation you describe. They are:
Powerpoint Picture Insert Command Line Interface (a console program), also known as P3ICLI.
There's also a GUI wrapper for P3ICLI, called Powerpoint Picture Insert, or P3I for short (I can't link to it due to forum posting restrictions). If you want to use the GUI, you must also install P3ICLI.
=================
FWIW, my wife invokes P3ICLI from JMP (a stats package) to dump multiple graphs into a single PPT presentation...no point and clicking required.
