Excel export all the text content

I need your help. Because currently I have a project which is a database of all the information of our client, all those information are stored in excel so we have a thousand of excel(30-40 sheets per excel file) information from the customers. the problem is how can I extract all the information from the excel? so that I can stored it in the database using import templates on postgresql. right now im doing manual but I end up 10 excel import per day. I already created the front end. I am tired of doing it manually and I don't know if I can finish it on the given date. Many thanks

Connecting Powerquery to multiple Powerpivot files

I have around half a dozen Powerpivot files containing data extracted from an SQL database. Each file has around 30 million lines of data in an identical format. I do not have access to the underlying database but each powerpivot file contains the data.
I would like to connect to all of these files in one new workbook using Powerquery so that I can append them, add them to the data model and work with them in Excel.
I have found various solutions on how to get the data into CSV format using DAX studio but I would prefer to avoid this as it seems an unwieldy solution to export hundreds of millions of lines of data to CSV and then import it back to Powerquery when I already have the formatted data in Powerpivot.
I also don't have any experience of using SQL so would prefer to avoid that route.
I've tried creating a linkback as described here https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/linkback-tables-in-powerpivot-for-excel-2013/ but when I connect to this it only returns 1,048,576 lines of data (i.e. what Excel is limited to).
Is there an option for Powerquery to use Powerpivot data in a separate workbook as a source or another straightforward solution?
Thanks
You can either materialise the data (which you've tried, using Linkback tables), or you can copy the queries. There's no other way to reference powerpivot model data.

Excel PowerPivot from two different files

How can I create a PivotTable from two different excel files. They have the same column names and data types. I tried from the Get & Transform data menu, but without success. Exactly which options
should I use, step-by-step?
Thank you!
Create one Query for each Excel file (Connection Only), then combine those two queries into one new Query which you load into the Data Model...

Drill down in excel while exporting the data from Tableau crosstab to excel

I have created a Tableau dashboard which has certain drill down. I am exporting the data from Tableau to excel using Export to crosstab option. Only the data gets copied but not the hierarchy. Is there a way by which I can not only copy the data but also its hierarchy to excel.
Any help will be appreciated.
Make sure that you are selecting all of the data you want before clicking "export to crosstab" (ctrl click to select multiple fields).
Alternatively i would create a sheet with the desired data, upload it and then use a trick like this -> http://www.vizwiz.com/2014/03/the-greatest-tableau-tip-ever-exporting.html

Excel Source in SSIS Column limitations

Can we import data from Excel with more than 256 fields in to a SQL database using SSIS. If so is there any trick for this, as I couldn’t see more than 255 columns in the column selection at Excel source in SSIS
Yes, I had to save the Excel file as CSV, and then I had access to all 360 columns in my import file.
NOTE: Because I wanted to save errors out in the same format, I needed to have my ERRORS file in CSV as well, and the error file had to exist when I set up the connection to it, with only the column headings in the first row, so that all the columns would map automatically in SSIS.
If you mean you couldn't see more than 255 rows in the Data Source Component's preview within SSIS then that is expected since I believe that is the most it will show you. Of course all the rows will be imported.
As i tried all avenues with no success, i tried converting the excel file in to a tab delimited text and tried the import. It worked superb..
you could use two data sources to load the data then join them together as explained in this Post
