I recently moved to a new hardware and had to port all my settings from my old macbook to the new one.
On sublime text 3 I had two lines of tabs on my old laptop and only one line in the new one.
Top tabs level was with the directories that I have opened (like different projects have their own tabs), while the second line of tabs had each file I had opened from this directory (very useful). On the old macbook the top line with tabs appears when I open a second directory (so two tabs for 2 projects). On the new one just a new window is open for each directory I open.

Currently all folders I open are opened in their own window.
I tried the solution that many people provided on the internet and added a custom setting for the "open_files_in_new_window" to false, but this does not work.
Both macbooks are running Sublime Text 3.1.1, Build 3176
Does anyone have an idea how to have the top level tabs back.
It is not SublimeText3 option but MacOSX option.

Very strange issue here, it's not causing problems but is aesthetically annoying. I had the kindle plugged into my windows machine as to edit the kindle's files. One of the kindle file names is now listed after the name of the python program I'm working on in sublime text. To paint a picture, above the menu drop downs in sublime text, there is the path to the document (IE python program) I'm working on, followed by the random file from the kindle.
The kindle file is no longer on my computer and never had anything to do with sublime text. I've tried restarting the computer and reinstalling sublime text, neither worked. Any ideas what might be going on??? Thanks!
The sublime text window caption shows you the name of the currently open file, followed by the name of the current project in parentheses (if you have a project open at all), followed by the name of the program.
Based on the screenshot in your image:
You currently have the file softmax.py open and it is stored in a folder on your desktop named machine learning\python programs\test\newyorktest\
The name of the Sublime project file is Casting the Circle_A Woman's Book of Ritual_B009FKTQD8_sample.sdr.sublime-project (the caption doesn't show the sublime-project part because that's redundant).
I would imagine that when you set up the project you accidentally chose that name as the name of the project file.
In order to fix your problem, select Project > Save Project As... from the menu and enter a different name for it. The location that you save the file in doesn't matter (it can be inside the folder of your project or in some other location), all that is important is that it has the extension .sublime-project.
Once you pick the new name, Sublime will immediately swap to using the new project file instead of the old one, which will keep your current set of open files, etc, and the caption will change.
You can then seek out and delete the other project file if you want.
A few days ago I've been suffering a serious issue with a Soft Hyphen hidden in my Java code in a variable name and a column name of the Entity. My OS is Ubuntu 14.04 and the only way of seeing them was editing this file under Yudit editor. When looking into the same file under Eclipse (luna) or Sublime Text 3, even pasting them on Skype or any other IM I was not able to see this character. (I lost a whole day searching for that hidden "-").
However... when a Windows user receives my message on Skype containing Soft Hyphenated text can actually see this freaking character. Copy-pasting the text from a wiki page containing Soft hyphenated text into ANY text editor (notepad, notepad++, Eclipse, InteliJ, even an addres bar of the Web Browser... ) actually make this character visible.
What is wrong with Ubuntu (or Linux in general?) that not showing it, and ... the most important thing.... how to force Ubuntu to act like a Windows in this case and always show a Soft Hyphenated words.
Example: (I can't see a "-" after "e" here, even when copy and paste it into some text editor): email.

Where can I find these folders on Mac (Sublime Text 3)? I succesfully found them on my PC (Sublime Text 2) and modified the theme to where now console and editor are the same background, but I cannot find the Packages\Theme - Default\Widget.sublime-settings path on my Mac. I did notice that the build window was a different color from the main editor on my PC until I updated the config's below, however on my mac and ST3 the build menu automatically is the same (console is still not though, whereas it is on the PC post-changes).

In Sublime Text 3, a Widget.sublime-settings file is located in Packages/Default and Packages/Theme - Default. Install PackageResourceViewer from Package Control, then access its Open Resource function through the Command Palette to open whichever file(s) you're interested in editing. You can simply save the file(s) when you're done.
The RTL languages are not supported in the sublime text editor
I tried this plug-in Bidirectional text support
on windows os
Copied all files from the zip Sublime-Text-2-BIDI-master to the ST3 folder and changed the font type and size.
then I copied the unicodedata.pyd to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 2\Packages\Bidirectional text support\bidi
now the Tools > Bidirectional text part didn't look gray anymore but it is still disabled.
also I copied these two lines but it didn't work

In order to get Sublime Text to work with Arabic characters using Sublime Text BIDI plugin on Windows correctly, ensure you've done the following:
Copy the plugin folder to the following path C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 2\Packages\
Copy unicodedata.pyd from ST installation directory to both, the main plugin folder which in your case is Sublime-Text-2-BIDI-master and inside bidi folder.
Set your sublime user-settings to the following:

Reload the plugin by viewing rtl.py and saving
In the case that doesn't fix it, you can read what sublime console log outputs when you click on Bidirectional text for a given Arabic text, console log can be accessed through ctrl+~.

1- Download the Sublime-BIDI-master folder from Github of solution
2- Extract it and paste under \Sublime Text Build (whatever)\Data\Packages(the downloaded folder).
3- open sublime wit any RTL Language file and right click anywhere you'll new options (Bidirectional text) .. Click it :).
However, in my Sublime version (build 3126), Arabic letters will be reshaped when switching to Bidi.
Initially in the range U+0621-U+064A, which are the usual Unicode codes for Arabic letters, characters will be mapped to the range U+FE70-U+FEFC, which are codes for each (isolated, initial, middle, final) Arabic connected forms. These latter codes, called Arabic-Presentation-Forms-B, are deprecated by Unicode and their usage should be very limited.
For example, before switching to Bidi, the word كتب, looks ب ت ك, from left to right U+0643 U+062A U+0628. This is the memory order. (It is up to the final rendering tool to display the string in visual order by connecting letters.)
After Bidi switching in Sublime, the word will appear good as كتب, because the codes are ﺐ U+FE90 followed by ﺘ U+FE98 followed by ﻛ U+FEDB. In this order. That means, in a Bidi enabled tool like a browser, it will appear ﺐﺘﻛ as the final visual order. This is not what the user expects.
So, not only Bidi switching changes the letters code, it also changes the memory order.
Personal experience.
When editing a source file (HTML and other languages or formats) containing some RTL characters, it is really tricky to navigate in the text edited. So the mode "before" (logical or memory order) might be very helpful than the mode "after" (visual or display order). With logical order, it's useless to join letters, it doesn't make sens.
Check this link, I had the same problem but solved it with the Sublime Text BIDI plugin.
I was still facing an issue because of the editor's font. It will be recommended to use a fixed-width font like Courier New. This should ensure the plug-in works as expected.
