I generate a SVG which is then embedded into a PDF. The SVG contains a hyperlink to an external URL according to this structure: <a xlink:href="..."><rect></rect></a>
When the SVG is rendered by a browser (FF in my case), clicking the rectangle would correctly open the hyperlink. When rendered by MPDF the rectangle would be displayed but the hyperlink doesn't work.
Is there any way to achieve this?

I made a logo from SVG, and it looks and works fine. The only problem is that when I go into dev tools and then use the select an element tool, it also shows the elements inside of the SVG image as separate elements, rather than the SVG being A single element. I am using an embed tag so the custom font loads. Is there a way to make the SVG show as one image rather than many elements? Thank you!
My svg image renders on it's own, but will not display on lightbox. In other words, if you click the link, lightbox opens up but NO image. If I replace the svg with a png version, it shows. And like I said before, if I stick the svg image anywhere else on the site without using lightbox, including opening it on a page by itself, it renders perfectly. Are there any svg limitations with lightbox that I'm not aware of?? Thanks!!!
I would like to link icons into svg as external source.
The reason is that I change this images on client side with javascript.
If icons are jpg or png or similar, I can click "Link" checkbox when place external file. But my icons are in svg format. And checxbox is disabled when I would like to place the svg as external link. I need to have icons as svg since I change also color on the client side(beside different icon).
How can I embed svg icon as external file?
I didn't find a way to do this with adobe illustrator. The workaround is to link to some jpg and then open svg file in notepad and replace external jpg link to external svg link. This way it works.
Would like to take my logo made in illustrator then turn it into a svg so that i can then use Raphael to animate it. I know how to make a simple image by creating my own path using lineTo.
Didn't know if this is possible or not.
Thank you
Once you save your logo created with Illustrator as svg file, there is a way to convert the SVG into a Raphael object and then you can use it with Raphael library.
Chack out this website: http://irunmywebsite.com/raphael/SVGTOHTML_LIVE.php
If you can, open the page with Firefox. Chrome messes up the page. Good Luck.
Well, if its just the path you need without the colors, stroke widths etc, i would save the illustrator logo as an SVG and then open it with a text editor(say Notepad).
From there i would extract the d attribute as a path and manually add the rest of its ''features'' like colors, stroke widths etc.
In a web page there is a gradient (in body tag) using CSS3. Moving next and adding image (logo with site name) I realized page gradient and image both has different colors. It is because web page has a background generated by CSS3 and image has a fixed color as background and both are different.
What I have tried ?
add image as background of a div and also as a img tag.
applying gradient on div
but no luck.
How it can be managed ? Please guide.
Thanks
Cant you just save the text of your logo as a .png with a transparent background? If you've added the gradient to your body tag it will change when the browser window expands and contracts
you have to save your logo image with transparent background....you open the psd file of the logo and disable the visibility of the background layer and then save it as a png image.
