I have a legit license of 3D Studio Max 9, I tried to install it in Windows 10.
Now, when launching it, it freezes at the welcome screen, and doesn't display some UI elements.
I already had this issue before, and I solved it by installing DirectX 9, but now they're installed and the problem came back.
Should I reinstall DX9? If so, how to remove them before?
And if not, what could I do?
Thanks in advance for any help, I'm attaching a screenshot.

P.S.: I forgot to mention, I can't move any 3dsm window, and I can stop it from task manager only.

Heys guys,
I just installed eclipse with e(fx)clipse and got some problems with the exspecially the layout. First of all the cursor does not being visually updated when doing horizontally movements(vertically works just fine). But this is only visually, when I edit the code it is on the correct position.
Aswell I have to click on the error warning at the line numbers to get the code complementation window longer then about 0.1 seconds. But even the it only shows up in the left top corner.
At last I have to close eclipse in the console or it will just freeze.
OS: Arch Linux always updated,
Eclipse: Version 4.5.1, java version,
Java: java-8-openjdk
Installed plugins: e(fx)clipse.
Hope you guys can help me,
Armin
So guys,
I figured out the solution for myself. The problem is GTK. With disabling it all the problem were solved. To do this start eclipse with the command line:
SWT_GTK3=0 eclipse
Sadly I have not yet found out how to do this permanently, but I will edit this answer as soon as I find out.

I updated all the drivers of my PC. Tried all the resolutions, but still the problem exists. I am not able to access the buttons bellow. Please help.
Here is the screen shot, trying to create new project.
This is a bug that has plagued Android Studio users for months now running on lower resolutions, such as 1366 x 768. The window in question cannot be resized.
To progress to the next screen, simply press Enter.
Edit:
I can say from experience this bug exists in version 1.3, however I can't confirm if it exists in 1.4.
I have just installed new Android Studio. But when I open Android Studio, it shows weird kind of characters. Text and Labels in Menu bar are scrambled / appears to be some kind of garbage characters. Can anybody help me solving this problem? TIK
P.S I am using Windows 10
I'm running Win10 and haven't got the nightmare you are into. My sympathies. Try this and see if it works.
Navigate to your user data folder. My user name is "Joe", so my folder is c:\Users\joe\AndroidStudio1.3\config\options . See screen shot #1 below.
Open ui.inf.xml in NotePad ( I use notepad++ here ).
Change FONT_FACE to "Consolas" - see screen shot #2 below.
Let me know if this works!

I found out the cause of the issue for the same issue happened in my system. It was caused by the windows font which was somehow not supported by Android studio. I changed the windows font to a standard font e.g. Verdana to fix the issue.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue with visual studio (or a VS extension because I have a few installed) and what is causing this? The number goes away when I close visual studio and I have not been able to figure our what is causing this. The number is overlayed on my desktop and not just visual studio. It covers all other windows I have open as well telling me it's set to be always on top.
Anyone else come across this issue or what is causing it?
I figured it out!
This has been bothering me for years. I finally just sat down and solved the problem. Basically, VS has this little known feature where you can navigate through code lens with just your keyboard. If you press Alt for a couple of seconds, you will see numbers just like the ones that appear at the top of your screen above your current method. To fix it, just long press Alt again and the number should go away. If you have many VS instances open you might have to go through them one by one.
I don't have significant reputation to comment, but I am experiencing this both with VS2013 and VS2015 too. The only extension I have installed is Resharper.
My research shows that it is caused by the hover text / overlays from various components. The only way I have found to get rid of them is to close the Visual Studio IDE window responsible.
I've been trying to figure out why my app isn't working, but I can't find Logcat! I just uploaded the new Android Studio release. I've researched and found out where to look to get this message:
ddms: Can't bind to local 8610 for debugger
All the answers I see on SO are for Eclipse. I looked at the developer page, yet for DDMS, it sends you to another page that is full of information for running DDMS in Eclipse!
Please, need some help here! I mean if the dev page is wrong, can't someone show a little love? (Instead of knocking me down 4 points like yesterday. should left in the note I couldn't find my logcat but I was embarrassed.... now not so much .... )
thanks in advance.
I had to open the Android Device Manager to get at the Logcat. It would not scroll through the regular window when the app quit working like it used to (previous to yesterday's and today's updates to Android Studio). As such, I cannot copy and paste code, but can use snagit to capture pngs to post. Thank you. This question is closed.
Check if you have hided it...If it is hiding problems the go through given image to display it or ALT + 6
