IIS error 403 not logged and showing unknown error page - iis

When I try to access a page on my IIS web I get an error 403. The error is not logged to the log file and the error page shown is not the one that's defined in the config.
That's the content of the error page:
<html><head><title>403 Forbidden</title></head><body>Access denied</body>
Can anyone help me to find this error page and get the error logged?

The 403 Forbidden error is an HTTP status code that means that accessing the page or directory you were trying to reach is absolutely forbidden for some reason.
To resolve this issue, you need to enable directory browsing for your application. To enable directory browsing on IIS, check out the steps from this Microsoft document.
If you still can’t solve the problem, you can use failed request tracking to view detailed error information.

/CMSPages/PortalTemplate.aspx throws 404 errors but site still works fine

I have a situation here, on iis logs I see the /CMSPages/PortalTemplate.aspx causing 404 errors but the requests are still fulfilled.
The question that I have is how do I stop these 404 errors from being logged since the website still works. I only want to see the real 404 erros which occur when the request URL is invalid
I am using the Portal Engine approach
In the IIS log, find out what the parameters after the /CMSPages/PortalTemplate.aspx causing the 404. You may be able to see these 404 errors in the Kentico Event Log as well. The majority of the requests to deliver page content goes through the /CMSPages/PortalTemplate.aspx page which is why you're seeing it in the IIS logs.
Once you find the record which has the 404 info, you should be able to find the path to the file and resolve it.
Check your network tab in your favorite browser. Usually there is a favicon or woff font not being served.

Joomla Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

From administrator panel I can't find my plugin css or js file. In console log it's showing :
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403
(Forbidden)
Now when I access this file from console login the browser showing me following message :
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /plugins/system/helix3/assets/css/bootstrap.css on this server.
Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Can you guys tell me how can I solve this problem. For this error my plugin is not correctly displaying :(
Thank You.
There is little information you give about your problem, but I will try to help you the same. I had a similar problem and with some research I was able to figure out what my problem was.
First check if file exist /plugins/system/helix3/assets/css/bootstrap.css
Second check the access permissions of your /plugins/system/helix3/assets/css/bootstrap.css in joomla and in the folder permission.
Third check if the css you are using does not need anything else to work. Example in mine was a problem with a plugin for firefox.
Sorry for my English but this is not my native language.

IIS 7.5 HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error. Live website is functioning but has a /test url unknown to our developers which gives error 500.19

I am an intern in an interactive media company, my employers have many websites they host for small businesses. When any of the websites URL's is accessed on the web it works great, altough when you place "/test" behind the url and enter it comes up with the 500.19 internal server error, stating the configuration file path is invalid. While it should just be giving the 404 error.
We did not create the /test site. We also have URL rewrite installed and functioning but we really need to know what is causing this error. As I said it needs to give a 404 error and than perhaps we can have it rewrite this URL.
If anyone has any idea what is going on here please help. Searching the web has yielded zero results. Below I will paste the full error report.

Custom 404 error page generates 403

IIS 6.1 - Custom Error pages.
The web site is defined as www.url.com/mysite. Custom error pages have been defined for mysite. 404 and 500.100.
I can redirect to /mysite/500.htm and /mysite/400.htm.
I can set 500.100 to redirect to /global/500.htm and this works.
When I redirect 404 to /global/404.htm I get a 403 access denied error. (I also tried redirecting 404 to /global/500.htm just to make sure it was not file-specific rights.)
Directory browsing is enabled.
The page works if you browse directly to it.
Checked the iis log file for oddities.
Can anyone offer an explanation that might lead me in the right direction?

where can i find the default 404 error page for windows sharepoint service 2.0

Where can i find the default htm file, mapped to show the 404 error in Sharepoint service 2.0. Currently whenever the request for a site hits the 404 error, it goes to the default page, but the point to note here is, which is not the one we set in IIS custom error option.
My requirement here is to make few modification in the 404 error page. I tried mapping the request to a custom error page with <customErros> tag in web.config. But unfortunately, its still showing the default 404 error page. When i checked the viewsource of the error page i can see some comments like, res://shdocvw.dll/http_404.htm#http://www.DocURL.com/bar.htm
Any idea about this? Thanks in advance
I haven't had to do this but this entry looks quite reasonable: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jingmeili/archive/2007/04/08/how-to-create-your-own-custom-404-error-page-and-handle-redirect-in-sharepoint-2007-moss.aspx
Basically when you install WSS it hi-jacks IIS. You can still do most of the things you would expect but you need to go through the Central Administration pages and the XML files that control many aspects of SharePoint.
