What is documentLink from the readDocument function? - azure

I want to get a document in a stored procedure by partition key and id.
I guess readDocument is a function for point reads.
readDocument(String documentLink, RequestOptions options)
It needs a "documentLink" string as the first argument.
What is it?

From the docs,
The format for documentLink is always "dbs/{db identifier}/colls/{coll
identifier}/docs/{doc identifier}" only the values within the {}
change depending on which method you wish to use to address the
resource.
You can generate one in code
String documentLink = String.format("/dbs/%s/colls/%s/docs/%s", "yourDB", "yourCollection", msg.getId());
msg is the document

How do I delete a string object element stored in Redis?

I am trying to delete an entire object stored in Redis using LREM, but I don't think I am doing it right, below is the code I tried:
GraphQL mutation:
deleteImage: async(_,args) => {
let data = await client.lrem("postedImagesList",0,JSON.stringify(args.id));
return data
}
postedImagesList is a redis collection of all the object elements stringified:
1) "{\"id\":\"aadc8456-a5c9-46b9-a58c-670446d95c70\",\"url\":\"chas\",\"description\":\"asd\",\"posterName\":\"asda\",\"binned\":false,\"userPosted\":true}"
2) "{\"id\":\"a24d6d1b-224f-400d-8b84-dac83d8eaf92\",\"url\":\"ihir\",\"description\":\"helped\",\"posterName\":\"bhi\",\"binned\":false,\"userPosted\":true}"
I am given the id as an argument and I have to delete the entire object, how can I do so? I am adding the elements using lpushasync.
Please see the LREM docs.
LREM key count element
The element argument has to have an exact match, so you can't match by ID.
You might want to consider using the RedisJSON using the JSON.DEL you should be easily achieve what you're looking for.

Where is my error with my join in acumatica?

I want to get all the attributes from my "Actual Item Inventry" (From Stock Items Form) so i have:
PXResultset<CSAnswers> res = PXSelectJoin<CSAnswers,
InnerJoin<InventoryItem,
On<CSAnswers.refNoteID, Equal<Current<InventoryItem.noteID>>>
>
>.Select(new PXGraph());
But, this returns me 0 rows.
Where is my error?
UPDATED:
My loop is like this:
foreach (PXResult<CSAnswers> record in res)
{
CSAnswers answers = (CSAnswers)record;
string refnoteid = answers.RefNoteID.ToString();
string value = answers.Value;
}
... but i can not go inside foreach.
Sorry for the English.
You should use an initialized graph rather than just "new PXGraph()" for the select. This can be as simple as "this" or "Base" depending on where this code is located. There are times that it is ok to initialize a new graph instance, but also times that it is not ok. Not knowing the context of your code sample, let's assume that "this" and "Base" were insufficient, and you need to initialize a new graph. If you need to work within another graph instance, this is how your code would look.
InventoryItemMaint graph = PXGraph<InventoryItemMaint>.CreateInstance<InventoryItemMaint>();
PXResultset<CSAnswers> res = PXSelectJoin<CSAnswers,
InnerJoin<InventoryItem, On<CSAnswers.refNoteID, Equal<Current<InventoryItem.noteID>>>>>
.Select(graph);
foreach (PXResult<CSAnswers> record in res)
{
CSAnswers answers = (CSAnswers)record;
string refnoteid = answers.RefNoteID.ToString();
string value = answers.Value;
}
However, since you should be initializing graph within a graph or graph extension, you should be able to use:
.Select(this) // To use the current graph containing this logic
or
.Select(Base) // To use the base graph that is being extended if in a graph extension
Since you are referring to:
Current<InventoryItem.noteID>
...but are using "new PXGraph()" then there is no "InventoryItem" to be in the current data cache of the generic base object PXGraph. Hence the need to reference a fully defined graph.
Another syntax for specifying exactly what value you want to pass in is to use a parameter like this:
var myNoteIdVariable = ...
InventoryItemMaint graph = PXGraph<InventoryItemMaint>.CreateInstance<InventoryItemMaint>();
PXResultset<CSAnswers> res = PXSelectJoin<CSAnswers,
InnerJoin<InventoryItem, On<CSAnswers.refNoteID, Equal<Required<InventoryItem.noteID>>>>>
.Select(graph, myNoteIdVariable);
foreach (PXResult<CSAnswers> record in res)
{
CSAnswers answers = (CSAnswers)record;
string refnoteid = answers.RefNoteID.ToString();
string value = answers.Value;
}
Notice the "Required" and the extra value in the Select() section. A quick and easy way to check if you have a value for your parameter is to use PXTrace to write to the Trace that you can check after refreshing the screen and performing whatever action would execute your code:
PXTrace.WriteInformation(myNoteIdVariable.ToString());
...to see if there is a value in myNoteIdVariable to retrieve a result set. Place that outside of the foreach block or you will only get a value in the trace when you actually get records... which is not happening in your case.
If you want to get deep into what SQL statements are being generated and executed, look for Request Profiler in the menus and enable SQL logging while you run a test. Then come back to check the results. (Remember to disable the SQL logging when done or you can generate a lot of unnecessary data.)

Firebase Invalid document reference. Document references must have an even number of segments

What is wrong with this query?
const db = firebase.firestore()
const query = db.doc(this.props.user.uid).collection('statements').orderBy('uploadedOn', 'desc').limit(50)
I get the following error:
Uncaught Error: Invalid document reference. Document references must have an even number of segments, but FrMd6Wqch8XJm32HihF14tl6Wui2 has 1

Since you haven't described what exactly you're trying to query, I'll just point out that all documents must be in a collection, without exception. So, if you say this:
db.doc(this.props.user.uid)
Firestore assumes that the string you're passing to doc() contains both the collection and document id separated by a slash. But this seems to be highly unlikely in your case. You need to determine which collection the uid is in, and use that first when you build the reference to the collection you want to query. Assuming that you do have a statements subcollection in the uid document, and that some other collection contains the uid document, you'll have to specify the full path like this:
db.collection('that-other-collection').doc(this.props.user.uid).collection('statements')
Of course, only you know the actual structure of your data.
If you want to get a collection of documents with querying, you don’t have to specify a document id. Below code should work in this case.
const query = db.collection('statements').orderBy('uploadedOn', 'desc').limit(50)
Or if you want to get the document, you can pass the document id to doc() method. In that case, the code should be.
const query = db.collection('statements').doc(this.props.user.uid)

For others having this issue, make sure that no document reference has an empty string.
I had this issue when using a get method with uid input as below and forgot to check if uid is empty
private fun getFullRef(uid: String): CollectionReference {
return ref.document(uid).collection(FireContact.SUB_PATH)
}

Values pass through request to other classes in node js

I am using mongoDB to store the document. In my http get request i pull the particular document record and save it request object to process on it(using middlewear). Later when there is any patch/put request come then i use the same request object and modify the paramater. But problem lies when i want to use the previous request stored values after modifying in put/patch request. Even i tried to store in different variable under request parameter, but when i change anything on req values, all request values get modified. Below is chuck of code.
req.PreviousStoreData = _.head(data); //data object
req.currentData = _.head(data); // copy data object
req.currentData.status = req.body.status;
// now if try to see the PreviousStoreData then it also got modified with latest status (modified only in currentData param)
If anything not understood well, please ping me back
Use Object.assign(), like that:
req.PreviousStoreData = {};
Object.assign(req.PreviousStoreData, _.head(data));
req.currentData = _.head(data);
req.currentData.status = req.body.status;
By typing "=" you set a reference to an object, which is the same object that currentData uses. Changing this object will cause both values to change.
Object.assign() copies all parameters from a source object (last argument) to the destination objects (not-last arguments), so you're actually duplicating an object instead of referring to it.
Object.assign() does seem to be the way to go. But the first parameter needs to be an empty object, to be the source object so that you dont affect the reference.
req.PreviousStoreData = Object.assign({}, _.head(data));
req.currentData = Object.assign({}, _.head(data));
req.currentData.status = req.body.status;
Here you are duplicating the Object, rather than assigning it the reference.

Can I set the default value of a custom list column to be a new Guid?

I tried setting the defaultvalue property of the field to Guid.NewGuid() but every item created has the same guid so I guess the Guid.NewGuid() is being stored as the default rather than being run each time.
Is the only way to achieve this to add an event handler to the list for OnAdded?
I'm assuming you're using a Single Line of Text field for this. The standard default for such a field is always a constant, you can't assign a variable or function via the object model. All that would do is assign the static result of that particular call of the function.
While text fields can support a calculated default value, it uses the same functions that are in Calculated columns, which do not support random numbers.
Your best bet is to use an Event Handler, I would recommend ItemAdding over ItemAdded as well. You'd be assigning to properties.AfterProperties["fieldname"] instead of field.DefaultValue, of course.
If you are creating the field through code and setting the field.DefaultValue = Guid.NewGuid(), this will run the Guid.NewGuid() and store the returned Guid as the default
It is the equlivant of running the folowing code:
Guid newGuid = Guid.NewGuid();
string newGuidString = newGuid.ToString();
field.DefaultValue = newGuidString;
I dont know of any method you can use to set the field to generate a new Guid on item creation other than using an Event handler.
It should be posable to genrate a random number using the field.DefaultValue = "RANDBETWEEN(10,20)"; but i have not tested this
