I have created an "Expandable/Collapsible" structure using VBA. I have added some form controls, like a dropdown or option buttons in each of the section, but the issue is that, when the whole thing is collapsed, the form controls are visible in the button. please check the screenshot and advise a solution.
Yes that is because you have not selected Move and Size with cells.
That option is greyed out when you right click on the control and then click on Format Controls | Properties | Move and Size with cells for Option Button and Combo Box as shown below.
You need to use a different way to activate it.
Click the control and then click as shown below
And then from there you can set those properties.
Now those controls will hide when you collapse the rows.

This seems like it should be easy but I can't seem to figure out how to do it...
In Excel, it is possible to add a Form directly to a Sheet. For example, under Developer > Insert > Active X Controls > More Controls > Microsoft Forms 2.0 MultiPage. How does one now add a control (say a push button) that is associated with one of the tabs within the MultiPage? So that, say, PushButton1 is on Tab1 and PushButton2 is on Tab2 when you exit Design Mode and actually select the tabs?
In VBA it is trivial. Create a User Form, add a MultiPage to it, and then just plop the push buttons onto the desired tabs. How do you do this with a form that's on an Excel sheet?
Thank you in advance!
In design mode:
Right Click on MultiPage -> MultiPage-Object -> Edit
Right Click again -> toolbox
I have two groups of radio buttons on the same Excel worksheet that I want them to work exclusively from each other.
I tried to search online for answers, and got to know there was GroupName Property which can be used to group the radio buttons, however, I haven't been able to locate this property.
Can anyone tell me how to find it?
There is only object positioning under the property tab of the format control window.
You need to add a group box control and then insert the radio buttons into that group box.
See here for more info: Add a group box or frame control to a worksheet
Use ActiveX controls
and in developer mode right click on RadioButton
and in properties box
When editing the action button properties, it allows an #if statement to flip/flop two choices (lock/unlock). i.e. #If(enlock=1;"Unlock";"Lock") for the "Label" of the action button.
At the bottom of the Action properties, icons can be None, Notes, or Custom. When I select Custom, I want the #if to use either the Locked/Unlocked Notes icons. (actn084.gif and actn085.gif, respectively) Or numbers #62 (locked) and #(I don't know/can't find, the # for the unlock icon).
I've tried formula with the icon number, like in a view, "display as icons" for view column. Using an #if, I've tried the gif on local and server replica's and it didn't give any results.
Please see the example image below.

You have to add actn084.gif and actn085.gif to Resources/Images.
Then, you can use a formula
#If(enlock=1;"actn085.gif";"actn084.gif")
for calculating icon.
As an alternative, you could create two buttons and hide-when them depending on field enlock. You could assign label and icon direct to buttons without formula then.
The hide formula would be enlock=1 for first button and enlock!=1 for the second. In both buttons you would have to add #Command([RefreshHideFormulas]); at the end of your action formula to refresh the action buttons (or Call uiDoc.RefreshHideFormulas for LotusScript action code).
I am trying to align two text boxes with two buttons in a panel, and I am unable to find anything about how to force positioning inside the MFC Ribbon Panels.
Here is a picture of what I have currently.

The Change View Date box has the box associated with it sitting below it and the change system date box is up in the top right in the second "column" of controls. I would like to fix this so the Box with the spin controls sits next to the CHange View Date and the box without the controls sits next to Change System Date.
Thoughts? Thanks!
I think yow cannot do it.
What you can do is to put a Ribbon Separator after the Box with the spin controls and then set the property 'Center Column Vertically' on the Panel.
Hope it can help.
I have a dashboard that I am displaying, and whenever my users click on a pivotchart or pivottable the field list automatically pops up. How can I prevent this from occurring?
If you wish to use ad hoc analysis tools such as pivottables and charts in a dashboard like this, the field list will always appear.
If you are able to use static data then render it out to that format and replace what you currently have with it.
Edit the chart in Dashboard Designer. In the Commands and Options dialog box select Chart Workspace in the drop down list. Once you do that, the tab Show/Hide should appear. On that tab you can clear the checkbox for the Fields List. Clear any other checkboxes in that dialog, and close the window. Click on your chart in DD and make sure the fields list (and any other dialog boxes - ie Commands and Options, Drop Zone, etc) don't appear. Publish your chart and you should be good to go.
