Copyq is a linux program that let you save your "copy/paste"s for future use.
I removed copyq because I've just realized that my kubuntu 20.04 version has a prebuilt clipboard app that do the same job.
After removing copyq with the terminal:
sudo apt remove copyq
I keep getting a little distracting notification message at the bottom right of the screen, it pops up almost every 5 seconds. It says exactly the following:
! Command "copyq onClipboardUnchanged"
Error: execve: No such file or directory
copyq onCkipboard Changed
Does anyone have an idea on how to stop the notification from popping up.

I have installed the latest ubuntu 20.04 and recently noticed a bug that whenever I close my lid the screen only goes blank instead of going into hibernate or suspend.
I noticed that there is no longer an option in gnome-settings as it was in ubuntu 18.04.
I have tried changing the values in /etc/systemd/logind.conf.
I tried changing values in gnome-tweaks.
How to resolve this?

I have just started learning the Linux system and I need some help to translate the following to English:
grep WARNING readme.txt
and
grep WARNING readme.txt > warnings.txt
This is a homework question that i have researched myself but having trouble learning exactly what it means.

Try making a file on your computer named readme.txt. Put some lines of text in there, and make sure that some lines say "WARNING" while other lines do not.
Then run your first command and observe its output.
Then run your second command and observe its output and observe what was written to warnings.txt.

I installed Ubuntu 16.04 yesterday and since then I have a problem with the mouse cursor.
It starts randomly disappearing and flickering a lot mostly when you try to close the window.
I have searched for a solution on Google and here but didn't find anything.
I had the same problem some time back when using ubuntu 14 version. You can fix it manually by going to Open System Settings > Displays. In the Displays window, you will see an Unknown monitor. Click it and disable it.
If you have 2 built in display in red and green color.. Disabling the green built in display will solve the issue.

After I installed windows 10 on my machine I am facing a big problem operating the computer.
Problem : It gets stuck every few seconds.e.g while typing a message I have to wait to notice when the cursor will start/stop blinking so I can start/stop typing. I am really getting frustrated. Any ideas how do I revertback to win7 or apply a patch for this bug.
Well same happened to me but after hiding Cortana "Ask me anything" box the trouble gone. To do this TaskBar==>right click==> Cortana==> hidden. Hope this will help you.

I am just installed Fedora20 in VMWare. my computer is win8 64bit. But I can't start Xwindow.
I already login root. try "startx". "command not found". what's mean.How to start Xwindow on Fedora20.
If you have X installed, and everything is more or less "out of the box", then you can shift to runlevel 5.
init 5
Note that it must be ran as the root user.
You did not mention what type of install it was. Providing the X Windows system was installed, you can check the inittab settings by sudo vi /etc/inittab (or cat /etc/inittab if you just want to view it)
You are looking for the last line. It should say " id:5:initdefault: "
In order for Gnome/KDE/etc to load when Fedora starts.
If you edit the file to change the last line, reboot the system and it should open the graphical login.
