I have a little problem with Android Studio and the JAVA_HOME. It is set right with the environment variables and is saying it's on a whole another drive
This is the Error Message
ERROR: JAVA_HOME is set to an invalid directory: D:\IDES
Please set the JAVA_HOME variable in your environment to match the
location of your Java installation.
(IDES is where I saved Android Studio and other IDEs)
Is there something I'm missing. It came out of nowhere was coding something in dart(flutter) and then tried to test it then this message came. Before that, I already started the app once to make sure everything works.
I somehow got it working i moved the JDK into a separate folder into the drive where Android studio is and changed the folder name where it's stored i dont really know what of those 2 things repaired it

I just started to install Android Studio, but I am finding it difficult. Now I'm stuck trying to enable an AVD at the emulator.
As you can see at the image below, variables are set and SDK tools and environment are updated. I'm using Windows 10 with AMD (HyperV virtualization enabled). What more can I do?
Well, it's solved. The issue comes because of Windows 10 Spanish version sets as default username Tú. Creating a folder at C:\Users\Tú
The accent breaks the AVD giving the error at the picture. We should change our username, rename the folder and swap all the windows registry entries referencing to the folder.
If you have this issue, maybe this video would help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=35&v=J_rTOA4gXJI&feature=emb_title
I installed Android Studio , but I can not run first app.
Of course, I downloaded jdk before, and then I created a new variable named JAVA_HOME ,assigned the value C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-12.0.2\bin,
and also add this to Path (using ; ).
Then I downloaded Android Stdio and installed it , intending to create my first app. But I get nothing but a blank screen with no option for running , and no simulator.
Moreover, I can see that it's syncing forever...
You should provide some image in order to see what is happening to you...
I am facing an issue which I am trying to solve for 2 days now and seem to be missing something out.
I have reinstalled Android Studio into custom location to save some space of my C: drive, and made the necessary adjustments to my environmental variable. However, the AVD is not picking up my new installation in the correct way. The following picture shows the problem:
I am in complete loss on where to start to troubleshoot this problem and get to figure out what I have done to miss it up.
Any thoughts ?
Try to Sync project with Gradle files
If that doesn´t help, restart and invalidate caches and sync again.
Below is the error that I is displayed when in tried to run Orchard (1.10 and 1.10.1) source from Visual studio 2015 community version.
I know that it is somehow related with configuration settings, but I am unable to solve it.
The same files, when placed in the local IIS runs without any problems. Is there anything that I am missing in visual studio 2015?
How to resolve this error?
Is the displayed 'Config file' path corresponding to your folder?
Because it doesn't seem to be a folder coming from the source code.
Sometime, IIS Express messes up when you try to launch a site with the same port that a previously used one.
Try to read your applicationhost.config (see IIS Express in tasks bar to get the path).
You could also try to change the port in Orchard.Web properties.
I have updated my Android Studio to 1.2.1.1 and now i am trying to create a new project and it shows an error:
"Error Loading Default Project "
Fatal error initializing 'com.intellij.openapi.vcs.changes.shelf.ShelveChangesManager'
Please suggest a solution. Thanks in advance
Experienced the same problem on Ubuntu/Linux.
In my case the solution was to change the save path of my project from relative, to absolute.
Trying to create a new project in ~/AndroidStudioProjects/MyApp would generate this error
But if I specified the full path /home/myusername/AndroidStudioProjects/MyApp, the problem was resolved.
You have to reset Android Studio and this is a configuration problem.
Uninstall android studio and install again.
This link will help you with all steps of reinstall.
Unable to create new android studio project?
I just came across the same error:
'com.intellij.openapi.vcs.changes.shelf.ShelveChangesManager'
Make sure that you have permissions to write to the project path.
android studio stores the project in the last location you loaded from and in my case it was a Flash Drive...
#Garima Mathur's answer suggests that is a 'configuration problem'
If it's a 'configuration problem' you can delete(*or better rename) the configuration folder.
which is located in the c:\users\CURRENT_USER\.AndroidStudio1.2
but in my case the solution was to change the path of the project to be saved.
I had the same error of "Error Loading Default Project"
Fatal error initializing
'com.intellij.openapi.vcs.changes.shelf.ShelveChangesManager'
and I figured out where the error was coming from. Previous I was running my project from a USB key labeled volume F. Later when I opened Android studio after unplugging, the default storage path was still F. Make sure your path is okay.
I also had the same problem. Following process worked fine for me:
Open your any old project in android studio.
Go to File > New > New Project.
Set Name to your Application.
At bottom of window there is "Project Location TextField".
Just change the Location Path to the desired folder and click Next Button.
I had the same issues, I tried to figure it by my self and it worked.
Try this, open your old project, then in your old project window, go to file > new > new project, and it will show the new project window to let you setup your project, after you finish your project setup, click finish and your project will start building and it will bring you to your new project window.
That's all, it works for me.
