How to add Submenu to Tabulator Context Menu? - tabulator

I am trying add a submenu to decrease the height of a rather long menu. I looked at Menu module documentation but could not find any clues

At the moment there is no way to do this built in to Tabulator.

Extension-Specific Context Menu

I'm trying to add an item to the right-click menu on my extension. I've tried to find a method which would work, but a lot of the results seem to deal with context menus on the actual page, not the extension icon itself. The contextMenus API doesn't seem to work for this, unfortunately.
There is currently no API for that. Head for Chromium Issue 78631 and click the star to cast your vote for it and receive updates by e-mail. In the meantime, you could create a popup with a menu that lists both the primary action and the actions you would have put in the context menu.
(I assume you're trying to add the context menu item to your browser action. Your question is a little ambiguous.)

OrchardCMS - Can't find correct alternative to render widget

I'm trying to add a image carousel to my CMS site and in the process learn about Alternatives.
I've go the following content types
BannerImage (TextField and a MediaPicker field)
ImageGallery (Container)
I've created a bunch of images, added them as 'Containables' to a new ImageGallery and
I then create a widget, put it in BeforeContent and it renders as an ugly list (default rendering)
I have been able to customize the images by using the alternative Content-BannerImage.Summary.cshtml, sweet.. so far so good.
BUT I'm not able to customize the rendering of the ImageGallery at all. The alternative
Content-ImageGallery.Summary.cshtml or .Detail or even Widget-Container.cshtml do not work at all.
The alternative that IS being used is Widget.Wrapper.cshtml which came with the theme I'm using. I'm not able to find the correct alternative so I can prevent the ImageGallery from rendering it's name/title (which it does by default from the Widget.Wrapper.cshtml alternative.
Any help is greatly appreciated and before it's mentioned... I've read http://docs.orchardproject.net/Documentation/Accessing-and-rendering-shapes which is a great doco, but I'm too dumb to figure it out :)

To create an alternate (not alternative) for a widget, you first have to activate the Widget Alternates module.
Once you have done so, create your widget, and activate the Shape Tracing module. Go to the page where the widget appears, click on the shape tracing button on the bottom right corner to show the shape tracing and select your widget.
You should now see a list of possible alternates for your widget. Select one and click the link to create it. Now you just have to edit it to your taste.
Depending on how the image gallery module you're using is working, the shape that you need to override to render the list of images. It is probably the List shape that you need to change. Android googledocs app component name

I am planning to provide menus for my app similar to the sliding menu shown in the below image when clicking on the button in the list view. Could you give me some pointers on, how it can be achieved. Is it SubMenu ?

I got it, the behavior or pattern name is QuikActions.

How to add subpages in Orchard CMS

I added a new page in the main menu, e.g. Products. Now I want to add a subpage e.g. Sub Products below a Products page. I tried all possible options in the dashboard but it didn't work for me. Any ideas how to handle this?
Thanks.
here is a quick solution for this
Go to your dash board -->Gallery -->Modules
search for Hierarchical menu and install it
after installing then go to Configuration -->Features and enable it.
Go go to Navigation .give position like 2 for "Products" and 2.1 for "Sub products".
you will see Sub products appear under Products page.
As of Orchard CMS 1.5 this is supported by the core navigation module. Now you can simply drag and drop menu items under one another in the Admin -> Navigation view. You can then control level rendering under the widget settings for the menu by setting the "Start level" and "Levels to display" properties.
See release notes for further details.
The navigation documentation doesn't seem to be up to date though :(
Take a look at: http://orchard.codeplex.com/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=242327
The module to support this (along with many other modules) is available in Orchard's module gallery.

Prototype menu

Does anyone know of a good javascript menu using the prototype library.
I need to produce a list of links available for each row of a HTML table as a hover/click dropdown menu.
Constraints
The list of links is the same for every row, however, a link needs to post an id param unique to the row.
The table is in a scroll pane, so the menu needs to know if if should render itself on the other side of the associated HTML element (e.g. TD) if necessary for visiblity.
I've found some a nice plugin for the JQuery library, but don't currently use JQuery and would like to avoid adding it if possible. I am already using prototype 1.6.
The author of the blog post below has used prototype to create a drop-down JS menu. I don't think it fits the bill for everything you're looking for, but it should give you a starting point.
