I have many .eps files in a folder . I just want them to see how it looks. So i tried to open .eps file using document viewer it doesnot open. Again i tried through gv file.eps still it gives error like undefined Obj.....again when i tried to open through gimp file.eps there is also some problem like opening failed: Could not interpret PostScript file. I donot know why such types of problem exist in ubuntu 20.04(may be library problem). If it is required to install some extra packages let me know. I hope some solutions from experts side. Thanks.

I made a python script on linux, which uses the pulsectl library and it works just fine. When I tried to run it on windows i got an error: FileNotFoundError: Could not find module 'libpulse.so.0' (or one of its dependencies). Try using the full path with constructor syntax.. I have pulsectl installed on both systems. I searched for the file on multiple sites, but I couldn't find anything. Not even a single thread about this error. Here is the traceback message: https://pastebin.pl/view/17da8815
Ok, I found a solution. If anybody has the same problem, go to this site, download the preview binaries, extract items, open the bin folder and then copy all the items to your C:\Windows folder. If asked for permission from UAC just click 'Allow'. And that's it.
i am so much confused i am opening a file in python directly by using
f=open('RouteDB1.dat','r')

I am trying to make the CoqIDE Vim plugin work on Windows 8.1. When I source the plugin from Vim, I get this error message:
coqtop.opt: command not found.
So I looked up the plugin documentation, and found the part that seems relevent:
"coqtop" should be accessible on PATH. If "coqtop" is not in your PATH, add 'let CoqIDE_coqtop = "/path/to/coqtop"' in your "~/.vimrc".
I'm not sure what this means, but I'm guessing that there is some file or directory named coqtop that must be made visible to vim. So I opened my Coq installation directory and searched for coqtop. The search hits are:
coqtop
coqtop.cmi
coqtop.1
coqtop.byte.1
coqtop.opt.1
The obvious first candidate here is coqtop. When I click it, it opens an interactive Coq console. But when I use the let CoqIDE_coqtop command to link this file to Vim and load the plugin again, I get:
C:Program Files (x86)Coq^Hincoqtop.exe: command not found.
Another thing that looks problematic is the file type. As you can see from the error message above, the coqtop file has an .exe extension, which is specific to MS-DOS and Windows. But I don't think the plugin was written to work with .exe files...
I also tried using all the other search hits as coqtop, to no avail.
Does this mean that the plugin is useless on Windows? If someone can confirm that I'll just give up and use other IDEs. But if possible I'd really, really like to keep using Vim.
I am running into errors with opencv. I downloaded a package online and compiled each of the folders by cd into them and running make through the command line. But when I try using one of the functions, I run into this error: libopencv_core.so.2.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
The file its trying to reach is indeed there, since I checked this, but for some reason its saying its not. I am pretty bad at figuring out path problems but I think this is one of them. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks
I am using idle (python 2.5) via cygwin on a windows vista machine and when I try to open an already existing .py file I see the full file path
/home/aaron/C:/cygwin/home/aaron/script.py
on the banner of the freshly openned file window when I expect simply
/home/aaron/script.py
In addition, the file appears blank which makes sense...basically idle is opening up a nonexistent file in some fictitious path. So what is causing the problem and how to fix? Anyone?
I have the same problem, but I found a workaround is to use File->Path Browser menu. From there I can find the .py file and open it by double clicking the file name.
