Make sure NPM is install in your machine. to check npm version run npm -v in command propmpt
Then you have to run,
npm config set registry https://registry.npmjs.org/
Then run npm i geolocation

npx start, npx install npx init is not working

I have been working with react for years using NPX and yarn and I just got assign to built an app with react-native using react native-cli so i tried setting up my environment using the react native docs and some YouTube videos. But after following the instructions like downloading android studios and adding in my new environment variable, I'm getting an error every time i tired to run
"npx react-native init AwesomeProject" which gave me this error
[![npx react-native init result][1]][1]
I also tried npm install and i got this error on git bash and also on my commandline
npm ERR! syscall spawn bash

and also npx react-native start is showing this error on git bash
```openssl config failed: error:02001003:system library:fopen:No such process
Command `start` unrecognized. Make sure that you have run `npm install` and that you are inside a react-native project.```
I have tried running "npm cache clean --force"
but still nothing changed
I can't even run npx create-react-app anymore because i keep getting this error
npx creat-react-app test
I'm currently using a windows 10 device
node -v 16.13.0
npm -v 8.1.3
[1]: https://i.stack.imgur.com/OTLYj.png
It's create-react-app.
Not totally sure but another issue could be that your Git bash isn't in your PATH.
Plus, npx start and npx install doesn't sound right, maybe you meant npm start and npm install.
On top of that, it seems you have node v11 and not node v16, maybe you have different versions of node, some in Windows' PATH and some only accessible from bash.
It could help to clean up and reinstall your node versions and Git bash, also check your environment variables for remnants of previous versions, and make sure to not confuse npm and npx.
laravel 8 instalation error - npm run dev throws error
I am trying to install a fresh laravel 8 project. After downloading frontend scaffolding when I try to run npm run dev it gives me an error. This problem also happens during installing jetstream in this npm run dev. I am giving error below.
I experienced the same problem a few weeks ago. What I figured out was that on windows that instead of running the command npm install && npm run dev it needed to be npm install and npm run-dev.
Also make sure you have the latest node and npm versions install. Perform a npm audit fix as well to fix any vulnerabilities.
I can see you are a Windows developer, and that you have spaces in the name of your project folder. Windows, spaces and nodejs don't like to behave very nicely together.
Try removing the spaces from name of your project path and see if this addresses the issue for you.
Update: As per a similar question, Laravel, error when running npm run dev on fresh new installation, this solved the users issue.
Try doing a full reset:
rm -rf node_modules
rm package-lock.json yarn.lock
npm cache clear --force
npm install
It works for me, on Laravel 9
Getting error on angular CLI isntallation
I am trying to install angular/cli on my windows10 64-bit machine, But I am getting the following error:
npm ERR! code ENOGIT
npm ERR! Error while executing:
npm ERR! undefined ls-remote -h -t ssh://git#github.com/angular/cli.git
npm ERR!
I am trying to execute the following command:
npm install -g angular/cli
Following are the specifications:
node --version
v10.15.1
npm --version
6.4.1
Things tried till now as suggested in different posts and forums:
Tried running command prompt as Administrator
Setting the network settings(set https-proxy and proxy).
npm cache clean --force
I don't have git installed on my machine, but is it necessary and mandatory?
I have installed angular previously also(Angular 4) but at that time everything was fine.
Need help.
You should install #angular/cli (note the #)
npm i #angular/cli
This one does not require git to be installed.
I have to admit that this naming is confusing.
unable to install firebase tools cli using windows 10
Hi i unable to install the firebase tools via commandline in the windows
im using this below command
npm install -g firebase-tools
after entering this command i m getting this below error
npm ERR! path C:\Users\data\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\firebase-tools\node_modules
npm ERR! code ELOOP
npm ERR! errno -4067
npm ERR! syscall mkdir
npm ERR! C:\Users\data\AppData\Roaming\npm-cache_logs\2018-01-20T13_22_41_404Z-debug.log
Latest version seems to have a problem.
Try installing one previous version:
npm i -g firebase-tools#v3.17.2
UPDATE:
Before doing so, it might be better to uninstall faulty one:
npm uninstall -g firebase-tools
also make sure you have windows-build-tools installed (though I have it on my machines, error you share doesn't really seem to be related to this)
npm --add-python-to-path='true' --debug install --global windows-build-tools
UPDATE 2
I've updated my Node & NPM versions and then to latest Firebase Tools.
Still getting WARN optional SKIPPING OPTIONAL DEPENDENCY: Exit status 1 error, but since it's a warning, I've decided to give it a try. So far no problems.
UPDATE 3
windows-build-tools package got an update yesterday so I installed it with hope it solves problems installing latest version of firebase-tools. It did not, same errors occur.
Actually you can try installing the
npm i -g firebase-tools#v3.16.0 version and try to install the
npm install windows-build-tools**in your local folder and after that install
**npm install node-gyp in your local folder and before doing all these try to disable your antivirus
npm install error web project
When I try install npm modules I see the following problem:
PS C:\Users\maxzag\Desktop\svoi> npm install
npm ERR! Cannot read property '0' of undefined
Can someone already come across this problem and can something advise?
This might be your issue: https://github.com/npm/npm/issues/17858
Try removing node_modules and running npm install again.
