I just got an Azure Kinect and tried connecting it, but it does not enumerate in device manager or Azure Kinect Viewer. I have it plugged into USB 3.1 in a new Lenovo Y740 15", but the light is still blinking white on the Azure Kinect. I also went through the steps to reset the device, but the light continued to just blink white. Would anyone happen to have any suggestions?
You can find the meaning of the indicators here
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/Kinect-dk/hardware-specification
Flashing white means that the camera does not have a data connection to the host PC. You mention you are using USB 3.1 (assume USB-C connector). Is the cable you are using a power+data capable or just power. Some USB-C cables are power only.

Using power beat pro blue tooth headset but there seems to be a glitch as shown in the picture. Anyone here have a solution or an understanding as to why this is happening
I tried to disconnect and reconnect the device, as well as trying to forget this device and pairing it again with my computer.
When configuring my baby camera, I just needed to press a button on the camera, and then my Android phone detected the camera, after which I could configure the camera with my Wifi settings.
I want to do something simular with a hobby project, but I have no idea how this works. How does the camera communicate with my phone? I wasn't asked to enable my Bluetooth, but it was enabled, so maybe it's using Bluetooth, but I don't think so.
Is there any other way, besides Bluetooth, to do this?
I have a windows 8.1 based lap top which supports Bluetooth.
I wrote a java based bluetooth server which gets connections from Android.
The issue is, the device sometimes get invisible(or to say not shown) on android devices.
I've tried with other laptops or Android phones, but sometimes it just doesn't get searched.
I think it's not about my java server program. Even if there's a problem with my program, it should at least be shown on the bluetooth search list of other devices.
I found a very crude solution about this issue.
Always running the 'change pc settings(not the exact name)' app of windows 8.1, and going to 'PC, devices' -> Bluetooth makes it always searchable. If I turn this off(I mean the 'change pc settings' app, not turning off bluetooth), the bluetooth cannot be found by other devices.
Why is this happening? My purpose is, bluetooth server must be turned on automatically after boot, but the reliability of the bluetooth device is failing my intention. However, since my crude solution above is temporarily solving my issue, I do not think it's a hardware issue.
So, my question is :
1) Why is this happening? And how can I mend this?
2) How can I run windows metro app through windows shell? If I can't find any other solution about this, I will have to write a batch script to always run the solution thing above.
Going to Change PC Settings>PC and devices>Bluetooth is initiating a Bluetooth device search. As a side effect, the Bluetooth is also made Discoverable (pairing mode). However, this Discoverable setting is temporary, only while the PC is searching for remote Bluetooth devices.
If you wish to keep Bluetooth Discoverable at all times, you need to check the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" button box, found in Bluetooth Settings. I found Bluetooth settings by right clicking the Bluetooth system icon. Can also be found in Devices and Printers, by right clicking the Bluetooth adapter icon.

I've been trying to set up kinect for XBOX 360 to run on ubuntu in order to start developing an application to control a humanoid robot. for the past four days I've been searching , downloading , installing and trying dozens of libraries and drivers to get the kinect to work on Ubuntu. in the beginning none was working and I was only able to read the RGB camera with "Camorama" and "guvcview" no matter what library or driver I attempted to run.. Finally, I installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu and installed libfreenect libraries using synaptic (I'm kinda newbie) and I also installed the following packages
https://code.google.com/p/simple-openni/downloads/detail?name=OpenNI_NITE_Installer-Linux64-0.27.zip&can=4&q=
along with Processing 2.0 and SimpleOpenNi-0.27
I start Processing -> examples -> OpenNi -> DepthImage & RUN
and the kinect starts for 3 to 10 seconds giving the image below some times along with the RGB image and some times with out it, then the frame freezes, and when I try listing the USB devices ($lsusb) there is no Kinect camera or audio devices listed, so the Kinect must be unplugged from the Adaptor and USB and then re-inserted and the problem still occur after running the sketch.
Attempted solutions:
1- removing and black listing gspca kernel module
2- disabling USB auto-suspend
but the problem still occur...

Running Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS ,, Release: 14.04 ,, Codename: trusty
Can any one help me please!!.
I had a similar problem and after I used Kinect With windows, I found that the problem was from the Kinect itself.
The following tips will help you get started using your Kinect:
If a non-Microsoft driver for the Kinect is installed on your computer, the Kinect for Windows drivers might not install or function correctly. To fix this, uninstall the non-Microsoft drivers before installing the Kinect for Windows SDK.
Connect the power supply for the Kinect to an external power source; if the Kinect has only power from the USB connection, it will be minimally functional and light the LED, but it must be connected to an external power source to be fully functional.
No tools are required for calibration of audio and video.
Your Kinect should be the only device plugged into a USB hub on your computer. If you have more than one Kinect, connect them to different USB controllers. If 2 hubs are connected to the same controller, only 1 Kinect can work at a time.
The Kinect is protected from overheating by a fan. It is controlled by the sensor's firmware, which turns off the camera at 90 degrees Celsius. There is no software interface for applications to control the fan.
Reasonable lighting, neither extremely dark nor extremely bright, is important for capturing images with the RGB camera. Incandescent, fluorescent, and natural lighting provide no special obstacles, but do not point an intense or constant light source at the camera because this can blind the RGB sensor.
The depth sensor functions adequately in typical and reduced lighting, although in near darkness there is increased noise in the signal.
The depth sensor reads depth information from reflected light. Objects that are highly reflective (mirrors and shiny metal) or highly absorptive (fluffy and/or dark materials) may not be registered by the depth sensor as successfully as other objects.

my new wireless mouse is not getting detected in my laptop, whereas it is working fine in all other systems and laptops. when i plug in the USB it is saying device not installed successfully i.e.(drivers not found). i checked in Google for wireless mouse drivers for my laptop(lenovo g580) but i can't find it. previously i disable Bluetooth application because of bTTray main window.exe error. is there any relation between wireless mouse connection and Bluetooth ?? please help mee... if there drivers available.. please let me know
Which OS are u using? If it is windows 7 or 8, then go to device manager and update USB drivers after right clicking the USB entries.
This worked for me:
Remove USB receiver and wireless mouse battery for 5 seconds. ...
Go to RUN (Win Logo + R) and type “devmgmt.msc” to open device manager.
Now find Mice and other pointing devices and find your wireless mouse.
Now right click on your wireless mouse and click Scan for hardware changes.
