my new wireless mouse is not getting detected in my laptop, whereas it is working fine in all other systems and laptops. when i plug in the USB it is saying device not installed successfully i.e.(drivers not found). i checked in Google for wireless mouse drivers for my laptop(lenovo g580) but i can't find it. previously i disable Bluetooth application because of bTTray main window.exe error. is there any relation between wireless mouse connection and Bluetooth ?? please help mee... if there drivers available.. please let me know
Which OS are u using? If it is windows 7 or 8, then go to device manager and update USB drivers after right clicking the USB entries.
This worked for me:
Remove USB receiver and wireless mouse battery for 5 seconds. ...
Go to RUN (Win Logo + R) and type “devmgmt.msc” to open device manager.
Now find Mice and other pointing devices and find your wireless mouse.
Now right click on your wireless mouse and click Scan for hardware changes.

I'm trying to make an Android application for Android Things running on raspberry pi that takes USB joystick inputs (including DJI Mavic controller) and passes it over BLE HID as a gamepad.
Windows, Oculus Quest and Mac all recognize it as a gamepad, but when I try to connect to it, they connect and disconnect right away. I'm not sure why
Is there any tool on any OS that logs the BLE HID pairing process to find out what went wrong?

I am working on Nitrogen6x board that runs on Yocto 2.1 with Qt 5.6.2 support. I have developed a Qt application that shall support the input options like USB Keyboard, Mouse and Touchscreen and shall support a Full HD resolution display.
I have connected a touchscreen monitor which supports Full HD resolution to the Nitrogen board using HDMI to VGA converter cable, and my application was working fine with the correct resolution and supports plug and play keyboard and mouse connections.
BUT, the touch response on the touchscreen monitor was not received by the Qt Framework and hence the touch interface was not working for me as expected.
When I plug the mouse am seeing the below information on my nitrogen board console:

I was expecting that the touch screen interface will get automatically detected and will be passed as a input plugin to the Qt application.
I have run make menuconfig and have enabled USB Touch screen rebuilt the kernel. But, still am noticing the below error messages while the kernel is booting:

I have selected the below option:
Device Drivers -> HID Devices -> Special HID drivers -> HID Multitouch panels as an embedded driver (*) in my Kernel configuration, and then I have rebuilt the kernel by adding my touchscreen's Vendor ID and Device / Product ID to the files hid-ids.h and hid-multitouch.c at relevant places.
My touchscreen is working as expected now.
I have a device (R31D) that read RFID card with USB port(convert serial port to USB port). When I connected it to my computer, ( windows 8.1 - drivers update - X64 ) , It does not work .
When I checked it in device manager it shows small yellow alarm on Prolific USB-to-Serial port(COM3). and when I want to connect to my device with putty. show this error : unable to open connection to COM3. Unable to open serial port.
solved the problem.
First should remove all drivers that related to prolific
second install old version of prolific (I used 2009 v).
then it works.

You probably have old Drivers installed from ages gone by. If not go get PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1_12_0.zip
Once you have the legacy drivers, simply chose an older one.
It appears that if you "force" Windose 11 to use a specific Driver it doesn't keep throwing it away.

I'm trying to get a "Selfie stick" to work on Windows Phone 8.1.
The Selfie stick is a HID device and is used as a keyboard, when the shutter button is pressed on the stick it sends an "Enter" keystroke to the connected device.
So far for the logic, the problem is that when I try to pair it with my phone it only stays connected for about 5-10 seconds and then disconnects.
I'm new to bluetooth coding and I read that some bluetooth profiles are not supported, is this true for HID keyboards as well?

As it is a keyboard, simply handle keyboard events such as KeyDown and check if it is Enter. No need to deal with Bluetooth yourself.
It could be a media key (volume up) as well.
Bluetooth keyboard should stay connected. Try upgrading to Windows 10 Mobile (Fall Creators Update) where more Bluetooth APIs are available.
If it keeps disconnecting, there is not much you can do.
When I try to connect my plantronics wireless headset via Bluetooth to my windows 8.1, I find that the device is not visible to pair.
Hence I am not able to connect to it.
I have made the settings to enable my laptop detect the bluetooth devices. Still its not able to search.
Try to install [Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver for Windows 8.1 ] LINK=>> 1 !
At least works fine on my HP-EliteBook-8570p with stereo "BlueDio 99B" headset. After switching the headset ON the Windows connect the device automatically, and switch Audio-Stream into new-attached device. Optimal!
PS - Unfortunately it is still the Problem with Windows 8.1 + Skype( MIC-Problem) :( Windows 8 is the first OS, than not support Skype at all! ;)
