ICP4D - Installed but not able to create new project - menu

I have installed the ICP4D, IBM Cloud Pak For data, on an Openshft cluster with a master, infra and 2 worker nodes.
What I do not see is the Project menu? What could be wrong?
And how do I correct it? Screen shot attached below:
Thanks,
CS

It looks like you have installed the base product, but not the add-ons you are interested in. The components of CP4D are available to be installed on top of the base, and will enable the various menu options as you add them.
For example, you might want to install the Watson Studio Local, Watson Machine Learning, and Jupyter Notebook add-ons to get started with open source data science and Python.
You can browse the available add-ons by clicking the squares icon in the top right.
In that menu you can browse to see what you have installed, and what are available (included in CP4D), and what are Premium (additional purchased functionality).
See additional details on installing Watson Studio Local (for example), here; https://www.ibm.com/support/producthub/icpdata/docs/content/SSQNUZ_current/wsj/install/install-ws.html
Let me know if this helps.

How to pack the edge browser extension for publish to store

I have developed the extension for microsoft edge browser. Now i want to pack the extension so that i can publish it. But I have not found any information that how to pack the extension. Can anyone tell me how to pack it.?
Currently you can't.
For the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, we are intentionally starting with a small set of extensions. The list of extensions is locked - you can see the list at our extensions page here. We want to be mindful about what extensions are available on the platform and watch for telemetry and feedback and make sure the reliability, performance and functionality of the browser isn’t impacted by these new features. Extension developers can submit a request to https://aka.ms/extension-request to be considered for a future update.
https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/faq/
Newly released steps for packaging an Edge extension are available here: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/platform/documentation/extensions/guides/packaging/
As Elad mentions, however, submitting to the Windows Store is still a process managed by Microsoft. Submitting a request to https://aka.ms/extension-request will get you added to the list for future consideration.
I believe you can use Visual Studio 2015 Community to do it (free download from Microsoft). I've been trying the same thing, but I'm using Windows 7 and it keeps crashing, so I don't know if it's possible from my OS (or even if publishing an "app" is the same as publishing an "extension").
Packaging Apps for Windows 10

Deploy Windows Apps to Family and Friends without store, enterprise or development-tools

I wrote a App for my family/friends and now we would like deploy it on or PCs. Publishing it in the store is not an option and not everyone has an Widows Live account. Sideloading isn't an option, because we do not own a Enterprise edition.
I found only the three already described ways. Either by publishing it in the store, using the development tools or having the enterprise edition.
Is there a fourth way to deploy a Windows UWP App without using the Windows Store or the need to install a developer certificate? If not, is there a possibility that something similar will be possible in the future?
The Windows 10 Deployment Tool looks like the thing I'm looking for, but i seems to be for mobile phones, or am i wrong?
The future is now! The process is easier on Windows 10 and the linked questions aren't relevant to that version. On Windows 10 users can enable developer mode or side loading in system settings on the "Update & security" page, in the for developers section.
See https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/dn706236.aspx
now with Windows 10 Anniversary update, you could just double click *.appxbundle file to install
Steps:
create your package, select no, when prompt "Do you want to build packages to upload to Windows Store?"
go to the package folder, double click *.cer, and install the certificate to Trusted Root Certification Authorities
double click *.appxbundle to install
Client OS Requirement: Win10 14393
UWP Target SDK: 14393
UWP Min SDK: 14393
On the target device, open the test folder. For example, C:\Projects\MyApp\MyApp\AppPackages\MyApp_1.0.2.0_Test
Right-click on the Add-AppDevPackage.ps1 file, then choose Run with PowerShell and follow the prompts.
Click the Start button and then type the name of your app to launch it.

Error with installing svnX (TortoiseSVN alternatives for mac)

I'm trying to install svnX 1.3.4dmg for iMac. It says “svnX” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. how can I do that. please help me with this.
These instructions are for OSX Yosemite, and may not apply to all versions of OSX. Let me know if you need directions for another version. Also, a warning to anyone attempting to do this with potentially unsafe software, please be sure the program you are installing is legitimate and safe prior to running the installer. See the article linked below for more information about this topic.
To override your security settings and open the app anyway:
1. In the Finder, locate the app you want to open.
2. Don’t use Launchpad to do this. Launchpad doesn’t allow you to access the shortcut menu.
3. Press the Control key, then click the app icon, then choose Open from the shortcut menu.
4. Click Open.
The app should then be saved as an exception to your security settings, and you can open it in the future by double-clicking it just as you can any registered app.

Problems running Agent AI in CodeRally

When I try and deploy to my AI into a local liberty Eclipse informs me that I don't have servlet 3.0 installed.
My liberty installation is:-
Launching server1 (WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.6/wlp-1.0.9.cl50620150610-
1749) on Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.8.0_45-b15 (en_GB)
and it contains servlet 3.1
Even after installing the servlet 3.0 feature, it still says I need to install the feature
Here's some troubleshooting suggestions specific to your scenario.
If you're having issues with your own Liberty install, you can try using the one that ships with the Code Rally install (it's automatically included when you install using the Installation Manager install). You can find it under the Code Rally install dir, for example, on my Windows machine the Liberty install dir is:
C:\Program Files\IBM\CodeRally\wlp
As of July 2015, the Code Rally 1.4 install includes the Liberty 2015.5.0.0 beta, which does includes the servlet-3.0 feature by default.
I would also suggest creating a new workspace for Code Rally, rather than reusing an old workspace. This way you can ensure that there are not any old servers/runtimes defined (either Servers in the Servers view, or Runtimes defined under Preferences > Server > Runtime Environments). Code Rally should work with an existing workspace, but using a new workspace helps rule out these types of issues.
Ensure that you have the correct Liberty server defined in the Servers view, such that the 'WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile at localhost' entry should be the only one listed. Note that you may also see Web Preview Server in the Servers view list; it can't hurt to remove this.
Finally, Code Rally Agents have a target Liberty server defined in their vehicle info. Right click on your vehicle in the Vehicles tab, and select Edit. Ensure that the "Liberty Server:" combo box is pointing to the correct server.
Thank you Jonathan for your help. The extra step I needed to do, was delete the contents of the c:\users\bondj\user.coderally directory - and then reinstall.

First Windows Azure App - Where is the Assets folder?

I downloaded the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit - WAPTK and started with the first exercise Ex1-BuildingYourFirstWindowsAzureApp . At Task 3 I get stuck though. The problem is that I can't find the 'Assets' folder.
"In the Add Existing Item dialog, browse to the Assets folder in the Source\Ex1-BuildingYourFirstWindowsAzureApp for the language of your project (Visual C# or Visual Basic), hold the CTRL key down while you select every file in this folder and click Add."
Anyone had the same problem ? When is the Assets folder created ?
In my install it appears to be here
C:\WAPTK\Labs\BuildingAppsWithCacheService\Source\Assets
but I agree the docs are not at all clear.
WAPTK is the Windows Azure Platform Training Kit. The last release was June 2012.
For each Lab there is generally a Begin folder, End Folder and an Assets folder to get code from.
There is also normally Visual Studio snippets to install, plus for some other labs there are also other installations.
When you open the Menu - normally installed into WAPTK\Labs\Labs.htm - each lab has 4 links
Lab Manual - Lab Files - Setup Lab - Setup Instructions
Its a good idea to click on Setup Lab first, install whatever is necessary. Then click on Lab Files which will give you the starting solutions, then the Lab Manual to follow.
On my Install I have the following folders
WAPTK\Labs\IntroductionToWindowsAzureVS2010\Source\Ex1-BuildingYourFirstWindowsAzureApp\CS\Assets
WAPTK\Labs\IntroductionToWindowsAzureVS2010\Source\Ex1-BuildingYourFirstWindowsAzureApp\CS\Begin
WAPTK\Labs\IntroductionToWindowsAzureVS2010\Source\Ex1-BuildingYourFirstWindowsAzureApp\CS\End
It is found here:
DRIVE:\WATK\Labs\IntroToCloudServices\Source\Ex1-BuildingYourFirstWindowsAzureApp\Assets
This is the latest Training Kit as of June 2012
