I installed Parrot Security os-4.8 twice on virtualbox on my MacBook Air (2015), and after successful installation with no errors (both times), after rebooting virtualbox, again I get the option to use it as live or install with other options that appears as if the OS is not installed.
I checked the vdi and it appears to be of 6gb in size(I think the OS is still there).
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.(sorry for bad English)

It sounds like you did not download the Virtual Image File ( OVA File)
( Your English is great BTW )
go to - https://parrotlinux.org/download/
Next -Go to the Virtual Tab
Download This Image
Click on the OVA file after download to import into Virtual Box
IMPORTANT NOTE - the default password and super user password for this machines image is - toor

when I select Kali Linux and I click Start I get this error message :
Failed to load R0 module C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox/VMMR0.r0: Signature #2/3: Expected at least 2 valid paths, not 1.: \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VMMR0.r0 (VERR_SUP_VP_UNEXPECTED_VALID_PATH_COUNT).
Failed to load VMMR0.r0 (VERR_SUP_VP_UNEXPECTED_VALID_PATH_COUNT).
anyone know how to fix it
The solution that worked for me was -
Uninstall Virtualbox's Extension Pack, then uninstall Virtualbox. Restart your computer.
I installed 6.0.24 version of Virtualbox and its Extension Pack.
Right-click the Virtualbox installer and choose Run As Administrator. Let the installation complete. Do not install the Extension Pack for now. Restart your computer again.
Now try Virtualbox.

I am trying to install windows 10 through bootable USB. In the installation window, It keep on installing and when it goes to finishing up section. It automatically reboots and after rebooting I am getting an error 'Operating System' not found.
Is there any problem with the windows 10 ISO? Anybody please.
Thanks,
Awais
Look into bios and see from which device you are booting from. That might be the cause.
1.I would suggest to reset your bios
2.set bios to Legacy or UEFI whatever partition system you used while installing window
3.set the boot priority to the Hard-disk
4.Save & exit, Now try booting...

By default I have Windows-8 installed on my machine, and I have installed Linux Ubuntu alongside Windows-8, Now on every start of a machine a grub menu appears where I can choose which OS to open (Windows-8/Linux-Ubuntu).
Now I want to install Linux-Kali on my machine alongside Windows-8 and Linux-Ubuntu.
Without touching Windows-8 and Linux-Ubuntu I want to install Linux-Kali, Because I have already installed many softwares in Windows-8 and Linux-Ubuntu.
Install virtual box https://www.virtualbox.org/ and you can install any other OS as guest.
You can copy to any machine you are interested, and you can run both the windows and linux at the same time.

I have prepared partition, Mint iso and Windows 7. Can I easily install Mint directly from Windows without using pen drive or CD?
You should not do that. You create another partition and put a Linux live image there. Then you boot this system and install Linux Mint like you would from CD or USB
You shouldn't have many issues.
During the install on Mint, you will be allowed to select install options. If Mint detects a preexisting OS, it defaults to "install along side OS xxx."
I believe from there you can select your partition or create new ones.

I have a Vbox server running Centos 6.5 32bit, and I have it set as a dev server for some web apps I'm working on.
Guest Additions was working fine until there were some updates in the CentOS system. Upon reboot, guest additions does not work. The disc shows on the desktop, and I choose auto run when it comes up, but all it does is have a window popup and disappear very clickly (within the blink of an eye), and thats it. No error messages.
When I choose "Install Guest Additions CD Image" from the VBox tool bar I get the following image:
Where might I find a solution to this problem. I will be glad to find whatever info needed in the system, but not sure where to go. I have tried a couple of possible solutions from web searches, but so far I've had no success
this resolved it. manual install
