NSOpenPanel in sandbox allows illegal selections - sandbox

I'm working on a new version of my sandboxed app and have removed all the supported file types except for one. When I run the app and select Open from the file menu I can only select and open files with the extension of my app's file type. So far, so good.
Now I have a method that combines the contents of two of my app documents. With one document already open I call NSOpenPanel to get the second file. In this case, however, I get the unexpected behavior that the NSOpenPanel allows me to select files that are not in my list of application file types. However, they are file types that the previous version of the app can open. This is strange since I deleted all the Document Types from my info.plist file except for the one.
Of course, when I select the "forbidden" file, I get nil back in the code below. But I shouldn't have been allowed to select it in the first place. Any ideas why I'm getting this unexpected behavior?

Update: my problem comes from not understanding the difference between CFBundleTypeName and the array of CFBundleTypeExtensions. What I did is a bit confusing, but here goes.
In my new version I set my CFBundleTypeName to "X" and the CFBundleTypeExtensions to "Y".
In my old version I set my CFBundleTypeName to "Z", and the CFBundleTypeExtensions to "X".
When NSDocumentController created the NSOpenPanel I could only select files with extensions "Y", as expected. But when I created the NSOpenPanel and gave it a fileType of "X", then I was able to select any file with extensions of "X" and "Y". Two different behaviors from what I thought were the same configured NSOpenPanel. What I don't know is how NSDocumentController configured the NSOpenPanel so I couldn't select files with the "X" extension.

Blue Prism expression to get most recent file from folder

I am trying to write an expression on putting an attachment in the Outlook VBO and keep getting error that it cant find the file.
The file name is Investment Value_2022-12-13h12m37s45.xlsx bit everything after value will be different.
I have tried writing it as a wild card.

I tried filtering it into its own collection and getting it that way.

Trying to get the file path from a filtered collection.
"Attachment.Folder.Name"
Anybody having the same issue and any help would be appreciated.

Loop through each file name and use 'Decision' action to check for file name pattern

IBM Domino xpage - parse iCalendar summary with new lines manually/ical4j

So far I was parsing the NotesCalendarEntry ics manually and overwriting certain properties, and it worked fine. Today i stumbled upon a problem, where a long summary name of the appointment gets split into multiple lines, and my parsing goes wrong, it replaces the part up to the first line break and the old part is still there.
Here's how I do this "parsing":

It works when line breaks are where they are supposed to be, but somehow with long summary name, line breaks are put into the summary (not literal \r\n characters, but real line breaks).
I split the iCalE string by \r\n and got this (only a part obviously):

Each line is one array element from iCalE.split("\\r\\n");. As you can see, the Summary field got split into 2 lines, and a space was added after the line break.
Now I have no idea how to parse this correctly, I thought about finding the index of next : instead of a new line break, and then finding the first line break before that : character, but that wouldn't work if the summary also contained a : after the injected line-break, and also wouldn't work on fields like that ORGANIZER;CN= as it doesn't use : but ;
I tried importing external ical4j jar into my xpage to overcome this problem, and while everything is recognized in Domino Designer it resulted in lots of NoClassDefFound exceptions after trying to reach my xpage service, despite the jars being in the build path and all.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net.fortuna.ical4j.data.CalendarBuilder
How can I safely parse this manually, or how can I properly import ical4j jar to my xpage? I just want to modify 3 fields, the DTSTART, DTEND and SUMMARY, with the dates I had no problems so far. Fields like Description are using literal \n string to mark new lines, it should be the same in other fields...

So I have read more about iCalendar, and it seems that there is a standard for this called line folds, these are crlf line endings followed by a space. I made a while loop checking until the last line-break not followed by a space, and it works great so far. Will use this unless there's a better solution (ical4j is one, but I can't get it working with Domino)

Unable to copy file from SFTP in Azure Data Factory when using wildcard(*) in the filename

I am unable to copy csv files from an SFTP connection to blob storage when using the wildcard(*) in the filename.
More specifically, I receive csv files in the SFTP on a daily basis, and they are of the format: "ddMMyyyyxxxxxx.csv", where "xxxxxx" is the timestamp. More concretely, my csv file for the 13th of March is: "13032019083647.csv", while for the 14th of March: "14032019083556.csv". Obviously, the timestamp is different for every day, thus I want to copy the file independently of whatever strings exists between the date and the the file extenstion.
In the "File" subfield of the "File path" of the "Connection" tab of my subset, I give as input: "13032019*.csv", as instructed by the help icon next to the field:
When I do so, my Debug run fails with:

I receive a similar error no matter which type of copy behaviour I choose. I have also tried experimenting with the fileFilter parameter (even though ADF warns that the same behaviour can be achieved with the fileName option), but I still end up getting the same error.

I should also mention, that when using the full fileName in the corresponding field, namely the value: "13032019083647.csv", copying works normally.

My guess it might get two files with wildcard operation.
In such cases we need to use metadata activity, filter activity and for-each activity to copy these files.
1.Metadata activity : Use data-set in these activity to point the particular location of the files and pass the child Items as the parameter.
2.Filter activity : Use filter to filter the files based on your needs.
3.For-each activity : In the For-each activity get Items from the previous activity and add copy activity inside the for-each.
In copy activity the source data set should be #item().name.
I hope this will solve your issue.
What worked for me was the following: I kept the same regex for the input file, but I defined as "Copy behaviour: Merge Files". Since as mentioned, there is only 1 file that satisfies the regex condition, only 1 file was created as output. I am aware that this is a sort of "dirty" solution, but it did the trick for me.

Why is perl saving two copies of Excel spreadsheet?

This is similar to A copy of Excel Addin is created in My Documents after saving, except that I'm working with Perl instead of VBA, and xls files instead of xlsm, and the negative impact of the behavior is different.
I've inherited a Perl script (Perl 5.8.8) that is running on Windows 2003 Server as SYSTEM. After copying an Excel 2003 template file to a unique, fully defined path location, it opens the unique file in Excel using OLE, edits the file, saves the file, and closes the file. What results is the edited file being saved both in the correct, fully-defined path location, and also in the Default User profile's Documents folder.
This causes thousands of these files to accumulate on the C: drive, as every new admin to be hired gets a copy in his Documents folder.

I don't see what causes this behavior, but here are a few things to try.
The template and the file it is copied to have names

Use the same separator.
Try to suppress some possible setting dictating that another copy be made. Perhaphs
$Excel->Application->{CreateBackup} = 0;
However, this may not be the correct property -- search the VB or Excel documentation for properties that may result in Excel saving an extra copy. (It needn't be "backup".)
Try to create a new file and use SaveAs, as a test to see whether you get two files again. The template copying may be setting it off to Save an extra copy (even though I don't see how). I'd say it's either that, or some general setting that need be turned off.

Saves changes to the workbook in a different file.
Using the save method may result in saving two files fro some reason, as noted in the answer by Borodin. This page also advises to use SaveAs for a new file
The first time you save a workbook, use the SaveAs method to specify a name for the file.
Once you change to using SaveAs there should be a confirmation dialog to deal with. If you want to suppress that you can set a property, with one (or either?) of

A note on some other resources. There is a cookbook of sorts in this post on perlmonks. A listing of various operations is given in this SO post.
Finally, I don't know how deep the reasons for using OLE are but if it is only about writing some Excel files there are other modules. For example the very well regarded Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and Excel-Writer-XLSX.
That's very strange Perl code. eval without checking $# afterwards is just wrong -- you need to know if a step of your code has failed for the following steps to make sense
It looks like the problem is in your call to copy($infiles, $reportfile). That will save one copy of the file, while $Book->Save and $Book->Close will save another

Jenkins - Dynamic Choice Parameter - Removing File extension from list

I am having a bit of trouble getting my groovy code to work properly in Jenkins using the Dynamic choice parameter. We currently have a folder that contains a lot of properties files for various environments. The following groovy code returns a list of all the file names correctly, however it is appending the file extension which is unneeded.
Arrays.asList(new File("path").list())
How would I change that to only list .xml files and not append the file extension in the list. I've found some examples of this while searching, but for some reason when I try some of these examples it isn't populating the list.
You mean like:
new File( 'path' ).list()
.findAll { it.endsWith( '.xml' ) }
.collect { it[ 0..-5 ] }
That gets the list of files (as Strings), keeps those that end with .xml, then removes the .xml off the end
