Unable to disconnect continous deployment for Azure function - azure

I have setup continuous deployment for my Azure function via App Service's deployment center. I linked the same to my Azure DevOps account and any commit made against code to my source control repository triggers an auto deployment to Azure. While this is working fine, when I now try to disconnect this auto deployment setup, Azure throws the below error:
I have already tried stopping the function and then trying to disconnect but that too hasn't helped.

Azure Deployment Center - scripting

I'm building Azure Function (Premium plan) with Private endpoint.
As I'm using private endpoint, function is not available from the public internet / MSFT managed Cloud pipelines.
Now, idea was to use Deployment Center in Function App to enable CI/CD, but I'm failing to find a way how to script configuration of Deployment Center.
Is there even a way to setup Deployment Center configuration outside of Azure Portal? Using Bicep or Powershell? Essentially, something which will map repository/branch/build pipeline with given slot.
It will be weird to have completely automated process for deployment of infrastructure and then to go there and manually update deployment configuration for each subscription/stage.
you can use github actions to deploy the function, but you have to connect the github to the function through the deployment center.
This is simple process where in deployment center just select github under source and connect the github repository by Loging in the github account.
Another solution would be to use visual studio like tool to directly deploy from to development environment.
Also, you can containerize the function and deploy the container.
Refer the following documentation on all the ways of deployment to the azure.

Unable to connect to azure pipeline, but deploy still works in app service deployment center?

I keep getting this error message in the Azure App service deployment center:
We were unable to connect to the Azure Pipeline that is connected to
this Web App. This could mean it has been removed from the Azure Dev
Ops Portal. If this has happened, you can disconnect this pipeline and
set up a new deployment pipeline.
The thing is, it stil says that it successfully deploys, but If you try to access swagger for example, you get an HTTP error 500, (swagger does work localy). I have tried restarting the app service, going back commits, to see if that would help, but nothing is working. All Json data has been doubel chekced so that isn't the problem either. Anyone know of a fix?

Th error says that files are missing in the current build , try with new deployment pipeline.
You might have added an archive step in the build pipeline. This causes the artifact to be zipped before publish.
In the release pipeline if you use Azure App Service Deploy task , This internally uses Zip Deploy, that will zip the files.
Remove the archive step, the double zipping will be avoided.
HTTP error 500
Make sure the XML documentation file output is in bin and not in bin\Debug or bin\Release (verify this for all build configurations).

Package deployment using ZIP Deploy failed with Azure DevOps Pipeline

I am trying to deploy an application to windows based App Service in Azure using Azure DevOps Pipeline. For the first time, I don't see any issues and deployment got successful. But the next time, it got failed. I am getting the below error.
Failed to deploy web package to App Service.
To debug further please check Kudu stack trace URL : https://$XYZ-dev:***#XYZ-dev.scm.azurewebsites.net/api/vfs/LogFiles/kudu/trace
Error: Package deployment using ZIP Deploy failed. Refer logs for more details.
When I go to the App Service in Azure Portal and from Deployment Center if I disconnect and trigger the pipeline, it get successful. But again next time it got failed.
Please anyone let us know the fix for this issue.

Azure release pipeline keeps adding ".scm" to the appservice's URL

I have an appservice called compspiadev, and I am using Azure's Pipelines to set-up CI/CD. Created the build pipeline and build the project into an artifact to use it in the build pipeline. When I try to deploy I get the following error:
Now my appService doesn't have the ".scm." part in it, and in my configuration I don't set the name to have the KUDU endpoint it adds it automatically:
How can I fix this issue for it to deploy correctly?
Your guess is correct. That is an network error which is because our Azure devops Hosted agent could not connect to the internal deployment endpoint of ILB ASE. (As I mentioned in this ticket, I checked your app from our backend and found it is connecting to ILB ASE.)
You can check this source code (actual working code snippet, I can not help you locate the exact code line since I don't know witch deploy method you used), and you will found that the process of Azure app deployment via Azure app service deploy task is actually the process of communicate with app files to Kudu service (xxx.scm.azurewebsite.net).
For example, if you are using Run from package type to deploy your web app, you can refer to this code snippet.
After you configured ILB ASE, per this doc, the scm site is only available at <appname>.scm.<asename>.appserviceenvironment.net. But you should have known that Hosted agent is a dynamic-distribution Azure VM that is neither in nor connected to the virtual network.
That is why you encountered the error like could not connect to the remote computer <appname>.scm.<asename>.appserviceenvironment.net.
To resolve this issue, you need use private agent to execute your deployment pipeline. For how to configure a valid self agent so that it can communicate with your private DNS, you can follow this reply or this blog.
As is visible in (the URL part of) the error message in your first image, you're deploying to an App Service Environment (which is something of a special cookie).
The Azure App Service Environment is an Azure App Service feature that provides a fully isolated and dedicated environment for securely running App Service apps at high scale.
As we can see in the second image, you don't have the checkbox "Deploy to Slot or App Service Environment" checked.
Check that checkbox, specify the Resource Group name, leave slot name set to production and you should be good to go.
If the deployment target is an Azure App Service environment, leave the slot name as production and specify just the Resource Group name.

Azure Function code deleted after a new ARM deployment from Azure DevOps

I am running a custom ARM template to create the infrastructure (Dynamic App Service plan, Storage account etc.) for an Azure function through an Azure DevOps Pipeline.
I am also deploying my function code via Azure DevOps from a different Github repo in a different Azure DevOps pipeline.
After I've successfully deployed the infrastructure and code if the pipeline for the infrastructure runs again it deletes the code, even if the changes I am making to the infrastructure don't effect the function and I run in Incremental mode.
It turns out the issue was a missing setting.

When an ARM template runs it replaces an the app settings for an app service (for Functions too).
I didn't realize that the Azure Dev Ops task for deploying function code is actually using this new run from package deployment method so I should have had the setting in the app settings portion of my ARM template.
When I ran the ARM template a second time after the code had been deployed it was removing the WEBSITE_RUN_FROM_PACKAGE setting so that the function didn't know where the code was.
To fix the issue I simply added { "name": "WEBSITE_RUN_FROM_PACKAGE", "value": "1" } to my ARM template!
