The Text in Android Studio Design Editor Preview is Pixelated - android-studio

I have updated my android studio to version 3.1.3. After the update the text and other items inside design editor looks blurry and pixelated when the preview is scaled to a zoom other than 100%. In the previous versions the text was much smoother. Is this a issue of my computer display settings or any other error? Can someone tell me if there is any method to fix this issue?

Android Studio Chipmunk - XML Layout Designer Split View Change Orientation

I'm not sure what happened, but the Split XML design view is now showing horizontally instead of vertically. (Design View is on bottom and Code view is on top.) I can't find anywhere on the UI to change the orientation of the design and code panes.
After playing around with the interface for longer than I'd like to admit...
Clicking on the Split button again flips the UI between horizontal and vertical split screen.
I'm not sure if this is a new feature in Android Chipmunk or if it's always been this way, but I could not find a duplicate question or answer on Stack Overflow or the web.
I faced a similar situation in version. Android Studio Chipmunk | 2021.2.1 Patch 2
I noticed that by pressing the Split button it became old value.

Android Studio emulator screen collapse

I'm using the emulator with Android Studio, and I'm experiencing the phenomenon shown in the image below.
The problem occurs only when the screen is turned sideways.
It does not happen in the default screen.
I don't know how to solve this problem, and I was wondering if you could tell me something that would help me.
Thank you very much!
You can solve this in three ways:
disable screen rotation - add this to the manifest XML under the relevant activity
android:screenOrientation="portrait"
If you want to go the long and better route it seems to me that you are using a layout that is not constraint layout, the latter supports rotation better, and when constraint correctly what is shown here should not happen.
If all else fails you can use special layout when the screen is in landscape mode, you can read more here:

How to get rid of this Mouse pointer on Android studio and get the editable one

I am new to android development. The mouse pointer on the design page is as shown in the screenshot. I am not able to edit anything like increasing the height and width of the widget on this page. I might be able to do it in XML but I want it done here.
I want a normal mouse pointer where I can edit the widgets.
I tried looking at some of the blogs but it didn't help.
activity.xml - design
It worked after removing the cache files and restarting the android studio

How to adjust display resolution in Android Studio 1.2

How can I change display resolution of Android Studio IDE? Background: I was running Android Studio 1.1 on 1920 x 1080 Win 8.1 with 14 inch screen. Although the font was not very clear the size was acceptable. Android Studio has just updated to version 1.2 and the whole IDE resolution has changed. I have tried changing the compatibility setting with no improvement. I can change the editor font and console text to make it readable but the toolbar buttons are too small for comfort.
Update: OK, I've learned to live with it, but I'm surprised no-one else has the problem.

How to change the background color around the visual design/layout editor in Android Studio

The background around the Layout Editor in Android Studio is dark grey. I think it used to be white. Anyway, I would like to make it white again, but I can't find the setting. The reason I want to change it is so that I can make nicer looking print screen images to use on StackOverflow or app descriptions.
Note: I'm not talking about changing the theme or the code editor colors. These questions have already been answered here:

Updated Answer
Android Studio 3.0 has a Screenshot menu item. Right click the design area and choose Save Screenshot.
From there you can make a screenshot with a transparent background.
