We are using gmail oAuth2 to send the mail from nodemailer and receiving below error -
{"code":"EENVELOPE","response":"421 4.7.0 Temporary System Problem.
Try again later (WS). e189-v6sm98ioe.0 -
gsmtp","responseCode":421,"command":"DATA"}
Out testing team by mistake run the automation test script and triggered a lot of mails simultaneously, I understand that might have blocked the mail's temporarily as the error suggest. I am interested to know how long this blockage will continue and what can one do to resolve it. At this point it is not possible for us to switch mail sending from gmail to some thing else.

I faced the same problem as I tried to pump several mails as part of load testing, nearly 100 mails in a minute. After sending 500 mails, Gmail started rejecting the connection with the same error.
The situation became normal after I introduced a think time of 1 second, limiting the outgoing mail at < 50 per min.
For me, Gmail was rejecting my mails only for a duration of 3 minutes.

It is a 24 hours lockout; however, sometimes it can be just temporary. Try reducing the amount of connections sent to be no more than 1 every other second.

I am currently setting up an IRedMail server, however, I have encountered some issues that I cannot solve. All the questions are listed below and any help will be appreciated.
I want to know how to back up emails all the employees sent out and received so I can quickly restore all the data since there are modifications to my cloud server. Also, I want to have an extra backup of them.
Employees cannot reset their passwords on their client webpage and it prompts me that the server is lacking encryption, do I need to install something on my Debian server?
I want to add a password reset function on IRedMail, which means employees can reset their passwords via email or telephone number receiving their verification code, what do I need to do?
I tried to check on the official IRedMail documentation but nothing works. I also searched on google, however, I only received minor pages which are not working as well.
Some error pages are shown below:

I am using GalliumOS (Ubuntu 16.04 derivative) and Chromium Browser.
In the last week I have been informed by two major websites, Amazon and Coinbase, that the computer I have been using for the last two years is a "new device" and must be confirmed.
In both instances reconfirming the device via email solved the problem and I kind of forgot about it.
Then just now, whilst using Coinbase I was logged out because of an auth token error. I then had to log back in. 2 stage auth token is working fine.
Is someone trying to hack me or perhaps one of the two above mentioned sites? (I am sure someone somewhere is trying to hack them both ALL THE TIME... is someone getting close????)
You're probably fine. The new device is likely be your computer getting a new IP and the auth error token could be any number of things, most of which aren't bad. If you are feeling paranoid, you can always change your passwords and enable 2FA.

Is there a maximum of emails that can be received for Gmail account? And what is it? [closed]

Is there a maximum of emails that can be received per day for a Gmail account? And if there is - what is it? Is something like 500 000 or more incoming emails possible?
86,400 max limit
Here are best practices to avoid reaching the storage limit:
Send message logs and automated emails to Google Groups. Using Groups, you can use a web interface to read very large or frequently mailed announcements that quickly hit the receiving limits of your email account.
Avoid using a single account for multiple users, and use Google Groups for sharing mail. Map 10 or fewer email aliases per account. Use groups to create shared mailboxes or to allow many people to send and receive mail with a single address.
Subscribe to the daily digest forms of heavily trafficked email lists.
Avoid using catch-all accounts. Spammers often try to guess email addresses in your domain. When they guess incorrectly, the spam is delivered to the catch-all address. The high mail volume can quickly exceed the Gmail receiving limits.

I got an email from my hosting company telling me that there is a loading problem on my server , actually I am not a webmaster so I need your help if that is possible.
they said that :
IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
This is cPanel stats runner on examle.com!
While processing the log files for user "example", the cpu has been
maxed out for more than a 6 hour period. The current load/uptime line on the server at the time of
this email is
18:19:49 up 129 days, 21:47, 0 users, load average: 4.20, 3.37, 3.16
You should check the server to see why the load is so high and take
steps to lower the load. If you want stats to continue to run even with a high load; Edit
/var/cpanel/cpanel.config and change extracpus to a number larger then 0 (run
/usr/local/cpanel/startup afterwards to pickup the changes).
I want to know is my server being attacked or it is a problem inside the server (website problem in loading)??
I hope you can help me on this it is an emergency .Thanks
Ahoy,
This email is sent out when the program that process website statistics, has worked on processing your website stats for over 6 hours. The stats the program is building are under the stats section of cPanel.
This can happen for a various reasons, However the most likely is that your server hosting your cPanel account is overloaded and the processing of your stats was paused while the server was overloaded for over 6 hours causing your stats not to run.
There are other causes for this error including if you use an awstats.conf file, this may be causing issues.
However this issue is something the server administrator will have to address since they need access to specific log files as will as to the server's root shell.
One remedy the server administrator could use is to change extracpus to a number larger then 0 in /var/cpanel/cpanel.config and then running /scripts/restartsrv_cpsrvd
If the above fails the server administrator will have to locate the issue from one of the following log files:
/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log
/usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log
A chart of cPanel Log Files and Config files can be found at the links below for further investigation.

My application needs to send thousands of emails on a daily basis.
So I thought about writing my own smtp server, using C#, which would pull a database every minute to see if there are any pending email messages.
But, then I came across Microsoft's IIS SMTP service....
My question :
Can the IIS SMTP service handle that amount of outgoing emails, and is it reliable? Or should I reinvent the wheel and write my own?
Thanks
Yes, IIS SMTP can handle it.
Yes iis SMTP should be fine. But there are few things you should consider.
Load test the server : This will give you the maximum number of emails which can be sent at a time.
If you are planning to send large number of emails, its better to "sleep" after sending few emails and then continue with the rest.
I once wrote a cron job to send out emails in a short interval and I made a mistake of not checking the status of the previous job. A job crahsed in between and the second one started sending emails to the same address which crashed and then the next one started......
Only reinvent the wheel only if you can design a much much better wheel ;-)
I would consider using 3rd party services. This is not cheap, and there is good reason they charge money for that.
1st, if you plan on sending high volume of emails on regular basis, you need to build trust relationship with major email vendors: definately gmail, hotmail, yahoo, excite, altavista, etc. That relationship will take a while, but is well worth it. Without that, your server will get banned very fast.
Check out iContact, Mailchimp, or Aweber.
Good luck
I would suggest you do some load testing on the SMTP server to make sure it handles the load you are expecting to put on to it.
I would not suggest you reinvent the wheel by building your own SMTP server. If you find the IIS SMTP performance is not up to scratch you could try and find an open source one.
