Is it possible that suitescript 2 is not enable ?
I have the most simple script, that show an alert but it doesn't popup
Possible ?
Thanks
P.s. i'm willing to pay for thid
I assume you enabled SuiteScript options in Check Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features > SuiteCloud.
Make sure you deployed your script accordingly . Make sure there are no error in script execution log.
To make sure suitescript is working fine in Netsuite , you can write a simple suitelet and test it in script debugger. ( Customization > Scripting > Script Debugger).
The only thing I can see would be if you do not have SuiteScript enabled on your instance. Check Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features > SuiteCloud, and ensure that the SuiteScript options are enabled.
Aside from that, post some of your code, and/or any errors that you are seeing in the script execution log or the page that you are running the code on.
Finally I found the problem but I don't have a solution yet. I called netsuite and they said it's a known defect but I don't think so. I'm sure we are not the first one in the history.
We need to add a script to the customer record.
We found out that SalesForce added an Users Event Script.
I'm writing a Client Script, thus the conclusion from Netsuite is that you can't have a User Even Scrip and a Client Script, thus the reason it's not working.
Again I still CAN'T believe it
Any help is appreciated
I "think" I found the problem. The event script is written in SS1 and what I'm doing is SS2.
I have moved my code back to SS1 and it's working.
I know it makes no sense but it's working

I have a very simple NetSuite scrip that sets the value of the externalid when the record is saved. I have done testing on the SB account and it is working as expected. Copying the same configuration into the production account and the script is not executing. I've even added some dialog boxes to see if I can see any activity but there is none. The script is deployed, released and has "all roles" as the audience.
Any ideas what I can do to get the script to work?
Thanks.
Is your sandbox a very recent copy of Production? Does it have all the same scripts deployed as there is in production? You may want to look at the scripted record list for User Event Scripts in both environments, make sure they are the same.
You could also post your code here for us to look at it.
I have a client script in NetSuite 2.0 which is already running ,but if I am making any changes to it, the new changes are not getting reflected the script is still running with the old code.
Even if I try to add single log.debug it is not getting reflected when the script is running.
There are a couple of things to check:
first thing is if you are running in the UI then your browser probably cached the script so a ctrl-F5 to reload the page should fix things.
second you may not be updating the correct file. If you navigate to the script definition you can open the code directly and verify your changes are there.
I have a script which was developed using TruClient for a web application. When I'am going through this test manually everything is working fine. When I'am doing the same test using TruClient in Virtual User Generator everything is fine as well(automated script is written properly).
The problem starts when I'm using LoadRunner Controller. From specified moment all the tests are failed(circa after 40 passed iterations/10 Vusers).
My question is: is there any possibility to check what was wrong on the website? Maybe take some screenshots or something?
(Controller 12.02.0.0 Build 1258)
Not sure if you know about this, but this is where I debug TruClient (and all) scripts which are running in Controller mode.
1) Goto the "Run" tab
2) Double click on the group of the user you want to look at.
3) Right click on the user you want to look at (some could be running or failed)
4) Select "Show User Log"
This will show the console output of the script so will show you then a step starts or finishes, and any LR.log statements you have scripts.
You can enable get screenshots on error (I think it may be enabled by default) in the run-time settings, but I haven't had any luck with the option in there to get a screenshot of every step.
If you restart a user then your logs will be overwritten.
I am trying to execute a console application which updates creation dates on specified items in sharepoint lists.
When I try to execute I get this error:
There has been blocked for additions to the site. Contact system administrator to solve the problem.
I then went to the Central Administration to check if Quotas and Locks was set to Not Locked. Then afterwards running the stsadm commando
stsadm -o getsitelock -url http://mysite
Which returned SiteLock Lock="none", so those 2 matched.
I have debugged the console application and made it console.writeline each step it takes and it gets to the item.update(); part and that's when I get the above message.
Do you guys know another way around to solve this issue?
Have you gone through all solutions provided here ?
or
check the document library settings and found out that doc. library was set NOT to require check out although versioning was enabled. just try to set to require check out
i dont know this is the right solution but i have faced the same problem and i did restart my machine and the problem is resolved.
hope this trick work for you.
Check if your database read-only.
I have created a feature and i am auto activating it whenever 'My Site' gets created.
I am activating it for the template SPSMSITEHOST.
This feature changes the Picture URL property of User Profile.
Now, the problem is my feature gets activated but it seems it does not execute the code by default and and does not change the picture URL property.
When i deactivate the feature and activate the feature again then feature works absolutely fine as expected.
P.S: I am facing this issue on Production server, surprisingly this work fine on Staging server , i mean the same code !!
Any help ??
Thanks.
Sounds like something becomes out of sync on your production environment. Could it be caused by load balancing?
Are you doing this through STSADM commands?
I would stick the following line after after each command:
stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs
This will make sure processing for previous commands is done before moving on.
If thats way off then I would think its something to do with:
a) The way you're activating the feature... if you're using feature stapling, are you sure that the latest version of your stapling mechanism is in place?!
b) Assuming you have some sort of feature receiver in your code behind. Are you sure there isn't an error occurring thats being hidden by a try catch? If there is then you need to see what the exception is...
If it works when you deactivate/activate the feature, that almost eliminates security issues.
Hope this helps..
After long investigating and search for this problem i tried to rearrange the features at package file depending on the features dependencies, it seems SharePoint activate these features one by one as it's arranged in the package file and this is worked for me :)
