Creating user editable chunk or snippet in ModX

I'm trying to create a chunk or a snippet a user can edit without touching the code. I thought it would be the best to include the content of a page since the pages use an editor. Can anyone tell me how I can accomplish this? Or tell me the best way to do it?
If I understand you correctly, you want to create, for example, a footer chunk with 3 editable regions.
I would do this by dedicating 3 resources for each editable region. Have the user make their changes via TinyMCE in these 3 resources (perhaps nest them in parent labled accordingly, eg: "Footer Columns"). Make sure they're hidden from menus so they don't come up by mistake.
Then use getResources within your chunk to display each. Eg:
<div class="footerchunk">
[[getResources?
&resources=`45,46,47`
&tpl=`footerColItem`
&depth=`0`
&limit=`3`
&includeContent=`1`
&showHidden=`0`
]]
</div>
Note that the resources in my example would correspond to the resources your using to allow the users to enter the text.
You would be required to build a footerColItem chunk, perhaps something like:
<div class="footercol">
[[+content]]
</div>
Note also the use of &showHidden=0
This is all from memory, so can't guarantee this will work straight away. Look at https://docs.modx.com/extras/revo/getresources for more info

show dc chart on browser using node.js

I am using your dc js in node js for rendering dc chart via server but i am facing many problems.
First I found all result of the svg in variable, but i want to know how to render chart in web browser.
When i write that SVG tags to file like "index.html" trying to run that file to browser, Chart is displayed but filter is not wroking
How we can use dc.js with node.js in browser?
I have tried many ways to get result, but i am not successed. If you have any tutorial or any guid Please let me know
I have not experimented with using dc.js on the server side with node, but you should be able to write the svg tag into an html document.
For example, if you browse the DOM of a live site like http://dc-js.github.io/dc.js/ in the DOM, using the Elements tab of Chrome's Developer Tools, you'll see something like this:
<div class="row">
<div id="yearly-bubble-chart" class="dc-chart">
<strong>Yearly Performance</strong> (radius: fluctuation/index ratio, color: gain/loss)
<a class="reset" href="javascript:yearlyBubbleChart.filterAll();dc.redrawAll();" style="display: none;">reset</a>
<div class="clearfix"></div>
<svg width="990" height="250"><g>
...
Note: I don't think you can get the interactive features of dc.js using it this way.

Can't click "through" fixed div menu

I'm having problems with my fixed menu. As you can see of the example beneath it's not possible to click the links "VingÄrde, Dyrkning..." because of the div box with the fixed menu on top of it. I've tried ordering the layers with z-index but I just can't get it to work. Can anybody help me out?

And if anyone by the way have a method on auto adjusting the height of the page so it covers the whole viewport I would be very glad to hear from you :-) In the website version above I've set the height manually to 1000px which is not preferable
Thank you!
You need to put all the wrappers' elements outside of it and put them after the left-page container and before the right-page container. Finally, remove the wrapper, it seems unnecessary for the page in order to work.
I fixed it through Chrome's dev tools, but I assume it should work if you modify the html that way.
The body should look like this:
<div id="left_page_container">...</div>
<div class="nav_humlunvim">...</div>
<div class="nav_butik">...</div>
<div class="nav_blog">...</div>
<div class="nav_kontakt">...</div>
<div id="right_page_container">...</div>
Hope it helps; as an extra observation it is more common to use "hyphen-separated-names" for selectors than to use "snake_case_names" :)

MooTools, MooDialog and confirmLinkClick

I'm having some problems using MooDialog using its confirmLinkClick option.
In the html section I have:
<a title="Delete Link" id="confirmLinkClick"
href="admin_delete_link.php?links_id=<?php echo $row_view_links['links_id'];?>">
<img src="../images/link_delete.png" alt="Delete Link" />
</a>
In my script section I have:
window.addEvent('domready', function(){
$('confirmLinkClick').confirmLinkClick(
'Are you sure you wish to delete this link?');
});
Up top I have the CSS link to the MooDialog.css, links to mootools.js (latest), Overlay.js, Moodialog.js, and moodialog.confirm.js
I have basically copied the way the sample file that came with MooDialog shows how to call the confirm dialog (http://www.aryweb.nl/projects/MooDialog/), but I do not get anything coming up at all.
Testing the sample file, I get the confirm pop up. Using the above code (which is even using the same sample id setting), nothing, it completely ignores the javascript.
I've googled and stackoverflowed but can't seem to find any hints, and yes I'm new to this as well.
I'm sure it's probably something very simple that I'm overlooking, but I just can't seem to get it.

Create a Sharepoint page but don't show in breadcrumb

I'm struggling to do something which I thought should be straight forward, basically I need to create an aspx page which I now realise must be put into a document library but the problem I have is it's only one page and when the page is displayed the breadcrumb has a link to the document library.
We really don't want the users to be able to get to the library via the breadcrumb and just want to show the page. From one of my other questions some other helpful people made some suggestions like putting the file in the _layout directory but this won't work because the new page has a master page associated with it.
Any ideas how I can display the custom page but not allow normal users to navigate to the document list?
Thanks!
Dan
Having a master page associated with an ASPX page does not prevent it from being placed in the _layouts directory. All of my ASPX pages use a custom master page I wrote, and they're all stored in the _layouts directory. But there's enough methods to hide the breadcrumbs without changing the storage location.
If you want to hide the breadcrumbs on only a specific page, the simplest method to do so is to prevent the contents of the breadcrumbs from being displayed. On the default master page (and I'm going assume that your master page also has this), there is a content called "PlaceHolderTitleBreadcrumb", which is what displays the breadcrumb. By overriding this in the ASPX file, you can prevent this from displaying. A simple way is to just insert the following line in your ASPX file:
<asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderTitleBreadcrumb" runat="server"> </asp:Content>
By being in the page itself, it becomes a custom version of the breadcrumb instead of the master page's, so it won't evaluate itself and will leave you with a blank line. The will keep content inside the table cell, so it will specifically make a blank line occupy the same space that the breadcrumbs normally would. If you just put an empty content there, then it will instead render nothing there and pull all of your content upwards. Up to you if you think that looks better.
As far as where to place the line, I recommend just beneath the following lines, if your ASPX page has them. If you don't have the following lines, you might have to experiment a bit to find what position works properly.
<asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderPageImage" runat="server">
<IMG SRC="/_layouts/images/blank.gif" width=1 height=1 alt="">
</asp:Content>
